Capítulo 11: Friends?

As their sessions continued, Emily felt a fairly strong attachment to her therapist. Chloe felt more like a friend than someone she paid to talk to at this point.

"Hey, um," Emily began(she had just finished a therapy session and was on her way out of the office. " I know this sounds unprofessional, but, do you wanna hang out sometime? Maybe go out to eat do something fun?"

"Like a date?"

"No, no. Not a date. As friends. We could go shopping at the mall or something."

"You'd probably have to find another therapist if we do become good friends."

"I know. I think you're worth it. I honestly would love to get to know you, to be friends."

"Alright. How about we exchange mobile numbers, and we can check out the mall this weekend if you're free."

"Sound's great. See you then." And with that, Emily left Chloe's office, and practically skipped home.

"Hey, Gram."

"Hello, Emily. How was your day?"

"Good." She took out her phone and plopped herself down on the living room couch. "Did you find an apartment you like yet?"

"I did actually." She walked over to the coffee table and scooped up a magazine. There was a bright pink post-it note sticking out of the top. "Here." She pointed to an ad for an open house in the magazine. It had the realtor's number in an article as well as the apartment's location and square footage.

"Heh, it's not that far, not that big, and not that expensive. It's perfect for you. I mean, it sounds just like you wanted. You better check out that open house. I could pick you up after school and drive you."

"I think I'm going to go myself. I'll probably buy it. Thanks for the idea sweetness." She kissed Emily on the forehead as she walked past, and into the kitchen.

Emily's grandmother did end up purchasing the apartment, and moved out of Emily's apartment before the end of the month.
