T-5 Days to Incident
#The Trail of Walibomboi
“Let’s go!” Cacey began with a loud shout to shake off all of her confusion and fears. Although she felt very confident at the moment, she tried to forget the fact that she was very much underprepared.
“I have come all the way down here! I can’t just go back now! Let’s see what happens.”
She tightened her grip on the trekking poles and began her trip to the top of the rocky trail that tore through the overgrown forest of Walibomboi.
Cacey bravely stood at the base of the trail of Walibomboi Mountain. The pitched path ended where the office and rental shop areas ended.
Although many years ago, efforts were made to build stairs along the trails to help the trekkers, it didn’t go too far. From there, it was just the natural path, with various overgrown shrubs, brushes, and colorful wildflowers in abundance on both sides of the rocky, graveled path.
