#Enkidu’s Forest
It was nice and warm. Berenice slowly opened her eyes. She did not feel alive. She could see, but not clearly; her head was spinning from her weakness. The lower part of her body felt disconnected from her upper body. She didn’t even have an ounce of strength left in her body, but it was warm. She closed her eyes again and fell asleep.
After a long time, Berenice opened her eyes again. “Was I sleeping for a long time?” The thought of her baby still didn’t hit her. Her brain was foggy. She couldn’t process any information—visual or auditory. Her head was still spinning from the weakness. Suddenly, she felt a pair of strong hands pick her head a little, and then she felt someone placing her head on their lap.
