Kylie smiled at me, her presence calming. "Gideon, maybe you can help us understand each other better."

I nodded and gestured for them to follow me to a quieter spot. As we walked, I could feel the weight of the impending conversation. Once we found a relatively secluded corner, I turned to Marcella and Lily.
