Capítulo 413: Where are you?
"Okay Bye Bye, see you when you get back" said as she giggled and ended the call on the telephone as Natasha walked into the dining room.
"Who were you talking to on the phone my darling?" asked Natasha in curiosity as Joy looked at her with a beaming bright smile.
"Oh, I was talking to Ethan mommy, he told me that he and his parents are going away for the weekend," said Joy as she smiled.
"Ahh I see darling, Chloe did tell me about it, do you know why they are going away and where?" asked Natasha as Joy shook her head.
"No Ethan only said that they were going somewhere boring that is not going to be fun" said Joy as she frowned.
"Well that's not true, they are going to a resort for their anniversary" said Natasha.
"Oh I see that sounds fun mommy" said Joy happily.
"Yes it is my darling, it's a place to go and relax and it's next to the beautiful sea and there are lots of things to do there" said Natasha.
"Ooooh mommy we should go to a resort next year for you and daddy's anniversary" said Joy as she giggled.
"Hmm maybe we should" replied Natasha as she laughed, well of course if they would be going to a resort it wouldn't be to celebrate this sham of a marriage, but Joy didn't need to know that yet.
"Anyway my darling enough talking go get your homework so you can finish it then you can watch tv" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Okay mommy" said Joy as she got down from the dining chair and rushed out of the dining room to get her homework that was in her school bag upstairs.
Natasha smiled as she sat down and Joy returned a few minutes later with her books in her hand and she sat down next to Natasha.
"So what do we have to do today?" asked Natasha as Joy opened up her book.
"Miss Honey said that today we should just revise the sounds of the alphabet" said Joy.
"Okay here let me see" said Natasha as Joy handed her the book.
"The letter A makes what sound?" asked Natasha.
"Ah" replied Joy.
"Good, and the letter B makes what sound?" asked Natasha.
"Buh" replied Joy without hesitation.
"And the letter C?" asked Natasha.
"Cuh" replied Joy as Natasha laughed.
"Okay maybe going in order is too easy for you" said Natasha as Joy laughed.
"The letter H makes what sound?" asked Natasha.
"Ha" replied Joy as Natasha asked her a few more random letters which she knew.
"Okay, I am impressed my darling, this seems too easy for you" said Natasha as Joy giggled.
"What are you doing in class right now?" asked Natasha.
"We are learning two letter words and the sounds they make together and then we write them" said Joy.
"So do you want to do that instead of this?" asked Natasha as Joy nodded.
"Alright so what do you want to do, make the sounds or write them?" asked Natasha.
"Write them" replied Joy.
"Okay you have your pencil?" asked Natasha as Joy nodded and opened up her workbook, got her pencil and started writing.
"That's an m my darling not an n" said Natasha as she pointed out a mistake that Joy made.
"Okay" said Joy as she nodded her head and erased the letter and wrote the right one.
Natasha yawned from tiredness not from boredom when she suddenly heard her phone ring and she brought it out of her pocket.
"Mommy can I go have some yoghurt?" asked Joy as she looked at Natasha.
"Sure darling you can have some yoghurt" said Natasha with a smile.
"Yayyy thank you mommy" said Joy as she giggled and Natasha laughed as Joy hurriedly ran to the kitchen and she answered her call.
"Hi Pete how are you?" asked Natasha with a smile as she put her phone to her ear.
"I'm good Nat and how are you?" asked Pete as he smiled.
"I am good too, so what's up need my help on any cases?" asked Natasha as Pete laughed.
"Fortunately not Nat, never" replied Pete as he laughed and Natasha laughed.
"But on a serious note, I called because Agent Dians told me to inform you that the cargo ship has arrived, he is going to intercept it at the port tonight, and he wants you to be present when he does and declare everything you visibly know is in the cargo ship once again" explained Pete.
"Ahh that was rather fast, alright then, which port do I meet him at and at what time?" asked Natasha.
"I will text you the address he sent me, and he said at 9pm" said Pete as Natasha frowned.
"Oof that's rather late" said Natasha.
"I know he probably did that to sniff out whoever wants to intercept those illegal firearms" said Pete.
"True, so you want to come with me? It will be fun just like old times" said Natasha as she smiled.
"As tempting as that sounds I can't, I'm on duty tonight, we got a tip off and I have to be there" said Pete.
"Aww how unfortunate, I don't want to go alone" said Natasha as she sighed.
"Why? You had no problem going to talk to Agent Dians alone before" said Pete.
"I know but this is different, the guy looked like he was about to kill me when I approached him, he was in one hell of a bad mood" said Natasha as Pete laughed.
"Well you will be alright, the great, fearless Natasha will be alright" said Pete as he laughed.
"Yeah, yeah" replied Natasha as she laughed.
"If you really don't want to go alone, you know you have a lot of people to ask to go with you" said Pete.
"I know, thanks Pete take care I have to go now" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Bye Nat, take care" replied Pete as he smiled and ended the call.
"Joy where are you, how long does it take you to get yoghurt?" asked Natasha in amusement as she shook her head, she doubted that Joy would use the yoghurt break as an opportunity to escape from doing her homework.
"Joy where are you?" called Natasha when she received no reply from her.
Natasha frowned when she heard nothing at all and she stood up and walked to the kitchen.
"Joy" called Natasha once again as she entered into the kitchen and saw a huge spill on the ground.
"Mommy… I spilt yoghurt all over the floor" said Joy in a meek, guilty sounding voice, she knew that she would be in trouble, there was yoghurt all over the floor.
Natasha sighed in relief as she thought that maybe Joy had hurt herself, but she was totally fine.
"Is that why you didn't answer me when I was calling you?" asked Natasha as Joy nodded, her big brown eyes getting wet already, she was going to cry.
"How did you spill yoghurt everywhere?" asked Natasha.
"I looked inside the fridge and the yoghurt was to high for me to reach so I stood on my tippy toes to get it and it slipped from my hands" said Joy as she was on the verge of crying.
"Oh my darling, it was just an accident there is no need to cry" said Natasha as tears fell from Joy's eyes.
"I didn't want to get in trouble and make you upset" said Joy as she cried.
"My darling I am not upset and you are not in trouble at all" said Natasha as she made her way across the spill to carry Joy.
"For one, you admitted to your mistake instead of lying about it, and that makes me very proud of you" said Natasha.
"It does?" asked Joy as she sniffed.
"Yes my darling, honesty is the best, and next time you make a mistake don't try to hide it away from me, I won't be upset as long as you tell me the truth okay?" asked Natasha as she wiped away Joy's tears.
"Okay" replied Joy as she nodded and sniffed.
"I'm your mother and I can never be disappointed in you, if you don't ask me for help who else will you ask? I need you to trust me" said Natasha as Joy hugged her.
"I trust you mommy" replied Joy as Natasha smiled.
"Good, now we have to clean this up, it won't be nice to leave this mess for Alfred and the others" said Natasha as Joy nodded and Natasha put her down.
"Should we use the mop mommy?" asked Joy.
"No it will be sticky, let's use paper towels to clean up the yoghurt first then we can use the mop later when we are done" said Natasha as Joy nodded and walked into the cupboard to get the paper towels.
"Here mommy the paper towels" said Joy as she tore some pieces from it and started to clean up the mess she had made and Natasha helped her do so.
"Do you still want yoghurt my darling?" asked Natasha after they had finished cleaning the kitchen.
"No… I feel bad for wasting all the yoghurt" said Joy as she shook her head.
"You want some juice instead?" asked Natasha as Joy nodded and Natasha smiled and poured her a glass of juice.
"Thank you mommy" said Joy as she smiled and Natasha smiled at her lovely darling.
…
"Goodnight princess" said Dom as he gave Joy a soft kiss on the forehead as he smiled and walked out of her bedroom, switching off the lights and closing the door behind him.
In that same moment Natasha stepped out of her room while checking her hair and their eyes met for a brief second until Dom heard the sound of the throwing of keys as he caught Natasha's keys out of instinct as he stared at them in confusion.
"The cargo ship has arrived Agent Dians and his team are going to intercept it tonight, and they want me to be present to declare all the goods I know are in the cargo" said Natasha as she explained and Dom looked at her, he still looked very confused.
"Alright, I knew it had arrived so?" asked Dom as he didn't get it.
"I need you to drive me to the port" she said as she walked down the stairs and he followed after her, he couldn't hide his surprise.
"You want me to go with you?" asked Dom in disbelief as Natasha looked at him and nodded.
"Why? You could go with Michael or Nine or even Benjamin" said Dom as he felt that she was acting a bit off by directly asking him to drive her there.
"Neither of them is CEO of the company, and neither is my husband in name, you know the itinerary of the cargo better than anyone, I am sure you have documents to prove orders and transactions of this account so you are the best candidate to be present" said Natasha as Dom nodded, that was true.
"Alright and what about Joy?" asked Dom.
"I told Lulu where we are going, come on it's an hour's drive to the port and we have to get there before nine" said Natasha.
"Alright give me a moment, let my just get the documents I need from my office" said Dom as Natasha walked out the front door and Dom walked to his office.
