Capítulo 126: Protect her
"Alright, we are all here, so what it is that you wanted to talk to us about Dom?" asked Charlie as he, Nine and Michael all sat down across Dom in his office.
"*Sigh*" said Dom as he sighed and he stood up from his desk and he walked to where Michael, Nine and Charlie were sitting on the couch, and he sat right across them on the other couch.
"Okay, I have been thinking, and I have not been able to rest after what you all described to me" said Dom as he sighed and he rubbed his temples.
"I cannot rest at ease at all, knowing that someone out there is trying to kill Natasha" said Dom as he sighed and he looked at Michael.
"You think that we can too??" asked Charlie as he looked at Dom.
"But the police are handling it" said Nine.
"Since when are police investigations as fast as the speed of light?" asked Michael, because as much as he did not want to admit it, there was only a little that the police could actually do, and until they had a lead, Natasha was still in danger.
"Isn't that the sad truth?" asked Charlie as he sighed.
"Which was why I got thinking" said Dom.
"Natasha is still in danger, as long as the Police don't have a lead, she is still in danger" said Dom because that was what scared him the most, he would not be able to forgive himself if anything happened to her.
Even though they had their differences, but that still did not change that she was under his care, he had promised to take care of her, no matter what, and that was what he was going to do, he was a man of his promise.
She was still the mother of his daughter, like it or not, they would be forever connected due to their great past, and even though she had let him down, and broke his trust, he would forever have to make sure that she was safe, for his own sake, and for that of Joy's.
Joy was just still too young to loose her mother, and Natasha was still very young as well, she was only twenty five.
"She needs bodyguards, that is the only way I would be able to relax" said Dom as that was the only way he concluded would be best.
"No, no, no way, you think she would agree to that??" asked Charlie as he shook his head.
"As far as we all know, she wants nothing at all to do with us" said Charlie as he looked at everyone.
"Charlie is right Dom" said Nine as he looked at Dom.
"Look you don't think that I know that?" asked Dom as he sighed.
"I do, I thought of that already, and I tell you that this is the only solution, she needs to be watched and protected" said Dom.
"Who knows who is after her?" asked Dom as he was frustrated.
"I know she will not agree with this at all" said Dom.
"But she does not need to know, and I am not just talking about any bodyguards" said Dom.
"You three know Natasha, and I trust no one else except you to protect her, you can follow her from a distance, or whatever you deem fit, but I just need to be able to rest at ease, I have not been able to sleep at all, because all I have on my mind is her safety" said Dom as he shook his head.
Michael, Nine and Charlie all looked at each other, they knew that Dom was right, and they themselves were as worried as Dom was for Natasha.
"*Sigh*, Fine, we'll do it" said Michael as he looked at Dom.
"Thank you" said Dom as he smiled, he knew that he could count on them all.
"And please for the sake of all our sanity and for our heads to stay attached to our bodies, No one tell Grandfather" said Dom.
"Oh Dom, you do not have to tell us twice" said Michael as he shook his head.
"We would be crazy to say anything to Grandfather" said Charlie as he shook his head.
"He would kill us for not protecting his precious Natasha" said Charlie as he sighed and laughed, Grandfather's shouting would echo in all their ears.
"And that is why we will not say anything to him at all" said Michael as he shook his head.
"Good to know that we are all on the same page" said Dom as he laughed, everyone laughed as well, they all knew how to cheer each other up, even when it was in a serious situation.
"If we were not, we would not be friends" said Nine.
"Nine is right about that" said Michael as he laughed.
"Mhmm which reminds me that Nine went out early this morning about 5am and he drove away, to who knows where, and he has refused to tell us where it is that he went to" said Charlie.
"Charlie!" said Michael as he shook his head and Nine just looked at Charlie coldly.
"What???" asked Charlie innocently as if his mouth just slipped.
"Nine, what is this I am hearing of you suspiciously leaving early in the morning?" asked Dom as he looked at Charlie and then Michael and then his eyes landed finally on Nine.
"*Sigh*, It is nothing Dom, I just went out" said Nine.
"Sure yes, we know that, but to where??" asked Dom as he waited for Nine to patiently speak up.
"*Sigh*" said Nine as he sighed, he was going to kill Charlie after this.
"I needed some fresh air, I have been thinking a lot, and I went to go and clear my head" said Nine.
"I did not say anything because well I thought that you guys were sleeping, and I did not say anything to Charlie because he needs to learn how to mind his own business" said Nine as he eyed Charlie and Charlie shrugged him off.
"Okay, Okay I do admit that I was annoying, I do agree with that" said Charlie as he nodded his head.
"But you brought it upon yourself when you were just so suspicious refusing to tell us where you went" said Charlie.
"I even thought that maybe you have a secret girlfriend that you refused to tell us about, and that you went to see her at 5am" said Charlie as he laughed.
"Oh ha ha, very funny Charlie" said Nine as he shook his head as Michael and Dom laughed.
"That one was too much Charlie" said Michael as he laughed.
"What??" asked Charlie.
"I am only speaking the truth after all" said Charlie.
"Nine is the one out of all of us that can keep a secret, he will never talk, even if his life depended on it, he would never say a word" said Charlie as he laughed.
"I cannot refute that" said Dom as he laughed.
"I remember back in high school when I told Nine about your surprise birthday party, and well he didn't say anything at all to anyone, the fact was that I almost forgot about the birthday party myself, till Lia reminded me" said Dom as he laughed.
"Hey, I am still upset that you choose to tell Nine and Lia, and not me" said Michael as he laughed.
"Well sorry but, they were the only ones who wouldn't spill the beans, Nine because his mouth is sealed shut, and Lia because she was in middle school then, and she would not have an contact with Charlie" said Dom as he laughed.
"Because let's face it, Charlie can squeeze the truth out of you, even if you don't want to say it" said Dom as he laughed.
"I have been known for my many ways for finding the truth" said Charlie with a very smug face as he smiled.
"Oh the truth master, how about you tell me who finished all my chocolate cupcakes?" asked Michael.
"Well sorry, I have taken a break from finding the truth" said Charlie as he laughed.
"Wow what a surprise" said Michael as he scoffed at Charlie.
"You know what, I will loose track of time" said Dom as he laughed.
"I need to go and pick up Joy at school" said Dom as he stood up.
"Oh well we have nothing better to do, so we will come along with you" said Michael as he stood up.
"Alright then, let's go" said Dom as he smiled, he did not mind the company at all.
"Can we get some ice cream on the way back?" asked Charlie as he stood up.
"Are you a child Charlie?" asked Dom as he laughed and Nine stood up.
"No, but your princess is, and you cannot refuse her request, so Uncle Charlie will just whisper in her ear" said Charlie as he smiled happily.
"Oh and Uncle Charlie can just walk back home himself" said Dom as he laughed.
"Wow what a friend" said Charlie as he shook his head.
"Let's go" said Dom as he walked out his office door as he laughed.
