Natasha walked into Dom's office as he followed behind her and he closed the door behind them.
She could not believe just how horrible these people truly were, no wonder why Grandfather had been so worried, if she hadn't interfered she was sure that with their insistence they would have backed up Dom in a corner and thing would have turned out differently.
Natasha just felt so angry, she wondered how people could be so inconsiderate, greedy and just unfair.
"What?" asked Natasha as she saw Dom who was just looking at her, to say the truth he was surprised that she was here, but he was also relieved, he really owed her, he did not think that she would do what she did, but she did, and she really helped him out.
"Thank you Natasha… really thank you for what you did and what you said back in there" said Dom as he was thankful that she could put aside her dislike for him to help him.
Natasha just looked at Dom, she didn't care for what he had to say, but she was here, and she could not pretend like she didn't do anything.
"I didn't do it for you, I did it for Grandfather, this whole thing was really bothering him" said Natasha as Dom nodded, he guessed as much.
"Thank you regardless" said Dom as he smiled and he and Natasha kept on looking at one another, Natasha scoffed internally, she could not believe that in her last life she had sold all her shares to Dom just for him to forgive her and reconcile with her, he took the shares with no fight at all, but as for making up, he did nothing of that sort.
Natasha really blamed herself for being so weak before, those shares rightly belonged to her, like it or not, and she would give them to her daughter, like she had said, this was a family legacy, and she had as much right in this company as Dom and the others did.
Dom sighed internally, he wondered how long this wall of hostility between them would be there for, even if they were in the same room and they thought the same thing, they were still not on good terms.
Dom stopped looking at Natasha as he walked to his desk and took his laptop as he walked to the couch sat down on it and opened his laptop to start working on it.
Natasha narrowed her eyes at him, if he wanted to work, he could have just told her to leave, but he said nothing at all as Dom looked at her.
"You can stay and look around if you want, you haven't seen the new building yet" replied Dom as Natasha looked at him, he was right about that, the main reason she was late to the meeting was because she had lost her way to the boardroom several times, and she was just lost until someone showed her to the boardroom.
"Maybe I might" said Natasha as she looked around and Dom looked at his laptop.
Natasha had to admit that Dom's office was two times larger than before, and also on the top floor, with glass everywhere and you could see the city below, Natasha was proud to see how things had changed, because she could not have imagined anything like this.
"Where is Nine, I thought he was helping you over here" said Natasha as she looked outside to see the bright sky.
"I asked him to represent me in a meeting, just because of what happened does not mean that the business's operations have to stop" said Dom as Natasha agreed with that and there was a great silence between them.
"Dress?" asked Dom as he looked at Natasha and she looked at him as she walked around a bit, he wondered why she was wearing a dress, knowing her, she rarely wore dresses, except if it was for special occasion, and he doubted that she considered this a very special occasion.
"Oh" said Natasha as she looked down, she was wearing aa V-neck, short sleeved black polka dot dress with black sandals.
"I have a meeting at the farm after this" replied Natasha simply.
"I see" said Dom as he nodded.
"Thank you again Natasha, I really appreciate what you did, even though we are not on good terms" said Dom.
"I am not a child Mr. White, I know when it's time to take responsibility, and those people have no right to demand for what they demanded for, hopefully they take the hint to back off" said Natasha.
"I am sure that they did after everything you said" said Dom as he smiled and Natasha suddenly heard some beeping as she looked at her hand where she the red watch Romanoff sent her was as she lifted her hand and checked her watch as it kept on beeping and she pressed it as she saw an alert and she scoffed to herself internally as she saw a picture of a drone appear on the screen along with some more information that was written in Russian.
What luck she had, how come this had to happen now? She did not want to draw any attention to herself, she had to hide, but she did not know where she could hide, Natasha looked around as she cursed that Dom's office had windows everywhere, she did not know where she could hide in such short notice.
"What's wrong Natasha?" asked Dom as he realized that Natasha looked a bit panicked even if she didn't show it, she was looking around as if she was finding a place to hide.
Natasha looked at him as her watch suddenly began to beep louder and more repeatedly than before as Natasha knew that she had to cover her face, and she really didn't have time to think of a reasonable thing to do.
"Natasha what is going o…" asked Dom as Natasha walked closer to him, she bent down, leaned in closed her eyes and shut him up when she kissed him and Dom was frozen in place as he did not know what the heck was going on.
In that same moment the sound of a little white drone could be heard as it hovered around the window outside of Dom's office as it scanned inside the office and noticed two people and it lowered down and flew away as Natasha's watch stopped beeping and she pulled away from Dom and wiped her mouth.
"I'm sorry I had to…" said Natasha as she did not even know which valid excuse to give him, she felt so disgusted right now, but at least she had not been compromised.
Dom just looked at her, still frozen in shock from what happened, it made no sense to him why Natasha would kiss him.
"Natasha, are you alright? Do you feel light headed?" asked Dom as Natasha kept on wiping her mouth, she felt like brushing her teeth right here right now.
"I said I'm sorry" said Natasha as Dom stood up quickly.
"I heard that, but why would you do that?" asked Dom as he was genuinely worried for her right now, he doubted she was well, maybe she was coming down with something.
Natasha avoided his gaze as she was thinking of a valid reason to tell him when she saw Dom's laptop which he had placed on the coffee table as she saw something alarming.
"Wait, that's a ship right?" asked Natasha as she pointed to the image of a ship on Dom's laptop.
"It is, but you are not going to change the subject right now Natasha" said Dom as Natasha ignored him and she scoffed, he was making a big deal out of nothing.
"Stop making a big deal out of nothing" said Natasha.
"That was nothing to you?" asked Dom in disbelief.
"Yes, it's nothing, no big deal, now enough of that, what's the name of that ship?" asked Natasha as to Dom she was making no sense right now, first she kissed him, and now she was asking about an irrelevant ship.
"It's the MSC Lavender" replied Dom with a sigh, he could not understand Natasha so he just decided to answer her question.
"2005" said Dom and Natasha at the same time as they both looked at each other.
"How did you know that?" asked Dom as Natasha cursed internally, if this was the ship she thought it was, then they were all in big trouble, serious trouble.
"That's not important right now, why are you looking at that particular ship?" asked Natasha.
"The company just bought it, we are going to use it as a new cargo ship, I was just finalizing the deal" said Dom.
"Don't finalize anything… not yet" said Natasha.
"Why Natasha? Tell me why, I don't get this" said Dom as Natasha looked at him, she was doing this for his own good and for the companies own good.
"Do you trust me?" asked Natasha.
"What does that have to do with this Natasha?" asked Dom in frustration.
"Do you trust me?" asked Natasha once more as Dom sighed.
"I trust you to some extent, but you are acting totally unreasonable right now" said Dom.
"I am not crazy, trust me, don't finalize any deal with that cargo ship yet, believe what I am saying, it's for your own good and the good of the company" said Natasha as Dom looked at her with a contemplating gaze, he didn't get her at all, but something in her eyes told him to trust her.
"Fine, I won't finalize the deal" said Dom as he sighed.
"Thank you, don't finalize anything till I say so" said Natasha as she had to make sure she was right about what she was saying.
"You have to tell me what is going on Natasha, and what do you know?" asked Dom as Natasha's phone rang and she brought it out of her pocket as she asked Dom to give her a minute as she answered her call and he sighed.
"Hello" said Natasha.
"I was on my way, but something came up" said Natasha.
"It's cancelled?" asked Natasha.
"Alright, reschedule it for Friday 10am, that would be the best time to meet" said Natasha.
"Alright, thank you, you too" said Natasha as she ended the call.
"I have to go now" said Natasha as she turned around to walk away as Dom held her hand and pulled her back gently.
"You still haven't answered my question Natasha" said Dom as she looked at him.
"Look, I assure you that I will explain everything to you later, but I need to be sure first, don't finalize that deal, if you do, it would be at your loss" said Natasha as she pulled her hand out of his hold as she walked out of his office and Dom sighed as he shook his head, she was just so complicated.
