"Don't be too hard on yourself Dom, and just give her some space." said Michael as Dom frowned. Why was everyone telling him to be the one to calm down? Was he violent or what in their eyes?
"That's exactly what I told him as well." said Natasha as she sipped her tea and nodded with Michael.
"Wow, the two of you make it sound as if I'm the villain of the story? Do you really think that I'm that violent?" asked Dom with a frown.
"No, you're not violent Dom, but rather I would say that you're..." said Michael as his voice trailed off while he tried to find a suitable word to use.
"Stubborn." said Natasha.
"Yes, that's the word, stubborn, you can be very stubborn sometimes." said Michael as Natasha nodded.
"Not all the time, but sometimes, and when you're bent on doing something, it's very hard for anyone to change your mind." said Michael.
"Alright, alright, I get it, I get it, I'll be calm, I don't need the two of you analysing me like this." said Dom with a shake of his head as he sipped more tea.
"We're not anyalsing you, just stating the facts of your personality." said Michael as Dom scoffed.
"Whatever." said Dom as he realized that he had finished his tea. He was somehow craving for more. Natasha was not lying when she said that it would calm him down, he did feel pretty calm at the moment.
"Anyway, I'm sure Lulu will be fine in the morning, she just needs a little break." said Michael.
"Boy did she scare all of us this afternoon." said Michael with a sigh.
"Luckily, nothing serious happened." said Natasha.
"Luckily." said Dom.
"Which reminds me, I don't think that any of us should tell mom, dad, or Grandfather about this, especially not Grandfather." said Dom as now since the crisis was already averted there was no reason to alarm their paretns.
"I agree with that." said Michael as he nodded.
"I agree as well... although, I do think that it's not good for us to keep something as serious as this away from them." said Natasha.
"I feel the same as well, but I don't want to cause unnecessary alarm or stress, for one, last week Grandfather gave us another scare just a few days ago." said Dom.
"His blood pressure went really high, now I don't know what he was thinking about that made him so stressed, but he was definitely stressed no matter what he said, and I don't think we should add to that stress." said Dom as he stood up.
"Now that you say that, I agree." said Michael as he frowned.
"You're right... we can't tell them now, but I am sure that sooner or later they will find out." said Natasha.
"Well until then, they won't hear it from us first." said Dom.
"Is there any more tea?" asked Dom as he looked at Natasha who nodded.
"Yes, there should still be some in the kitchen." said Natasha.
"Thanks." he said before leaving the living room and walking into the kitchen.
"So, how have you been?" asked Michael as he smiled and turned to look at Natasha.
"Good, and you?" Natasha asked with a smile.
"I'm good too, and I'm glad that you seem happy." said Michael as he smiled, he could not explain it, but there was just something so calm about Natasha, and he did not know why she seemed different... happier.
"That's because I am happy, it's nice when things are peaceful." she replied with a smile.
"I agree." said Michael as his phone rang and he brought it out of his pocket.
"Oh I'm sorry, it's Nine, I have to go now." said Michael as he stood up.
"No worries, say hi to Nine for me." said Natasha as she smiled.
"I will, take care." said Michael as he smiled and walked out of the living room.
"Dom, I have to go now, I'll see you later." shouted Michael so Dom could hear him in the kitchen.
"See you later." Dom replied as Michael closed the front door behind him and Dom returned to the living room with a full cup of tea.
Dom sighed before sitting down again as Natasha noticed that he seemed much calmer than before.
"Someone seems to like tea." said Natasha smugly as Dom turned to look at her.
"Alright, you were right, it is calming." he admitted simply as Natasha chuckled.
"You're welcome." she replied as Dom sipped his tea, he was not in the mood to argue.
"Are we having dinner any time soon?" he asked as Natasha shook her head.
"Actually no, Joy and I had dinner early, but there's some left over for you in the kitchen." said Natasha.
"It's fine, I'm not even hungry, I just asked." he replied as he shook his head, there was something else on his mind, but he felt that it was best to keep it to himself.
"Where's Joy?" he suddenly asked.
"Well she's supposed to be in the garden playing with Meggie, but now I'm not so sure." said Natasha with a frown, usually Joy would pop inside from time to time while she played outside, but it had been an hour and she hadn't seen Joy once.
"Then where could she be?" asked Dom as Natasha stood up and left to check the garden.
She returned a few minutes later with a frown on her face.
"She's not in the garden?" asked Dom as Natasha nodded.
"She's not there." said Natasha as her frown deepened, this was very odd, and when she had asked Alfred if he had seen Joy, he had said that he had not seen her.
"Maybe she's in her room?" asked Dom as he stood up instantly, placed his mug on the coffee table and walked up the stairs as Natasha followed after him while calling Joy's name, but receiving no reply.
"Joy." called Dom as he entered into Joy's room that was empty and the lights were switched off.
"She's not in her room either." he said as he turned to Natasha.
"Then where could she be?" asked Natasha as she already started to feel worried. Joy never hid from them before, she doubted that she was playing hide and seek with them, so where could she be?
"I don't know, but I doubt that she would go out without telling anyone first, which means that she's still in the house." said Dom as Natasha walked to check her room, and to her dismay Joy was not there.
Dom decided to check his room and all the other spare bedrooms while he called her name as Natasha did the same and yet. they still could not find her.
"There's one room we haven't checked yet." said Dom as he looked at Natasha who shook her head.
"Can she possibly be in there?" she asked.
"Well we have no choice than to check." replied Dom as he walked ahead and Natasha followed after.
"Lulu." called Dom gently as he softly knocked on her bedroom door. It was either Joy was here or she had been taken, and he would rather think it was the former.
"Lulu." he called again as he received no reply, so he had no other choice than to open the door.
Both Natasha and Dom let out a sigh of relief as calmness washed over them when they saw Lulu and Joy fast asleep together.
"That really scared me." said Dom in a whisper as Natasha nodded, she also had been scared, she already started to think of the worst.
"When did she come up here?" Natasha asked in confusion.
"Probably while we were talking downstairs, makes sense why we didn't see her passing by." Dom said.
"Look, they both look so peaceful together, and they look so adorable." said Natasha with a smile on her face.
"That they do." Dom replied as he smiled, he could see how tranquil his sister looked, which was the complete opposite of the way she had reacted towards him not too long ago.
"Should we carry Joy to her room or leave her here?" asked Dom as Natasha looked at him.
"I mean, just look at how cute and peaceful they look together... and I don't want to wake them up, I think we should leave them be." said Natasha.
"Are you sure?" he asked, he had nothing against leaving them alone, but he did not want Joy to disturb Lulu's rest, she had had a long day, and she needed all the rest she could get.
"I'm sure, Joy obviously was not disturbing Lulu if they ended up like this." replied Natasha.
"I guess you are right." said Dom as Natasha smiled.
"We should leave now, we'll see them in the morning." said Natasha as she walked out of the room and Dom looked at his sister and daughter one last time before turning off the lights and gently closing the door behind him.
