"What kind of sick joke is this?!" Felix sput his words through gritted teeth as he clutched the edges of the box, rumpling them under his strength.
The young man proceeded to let go of the box and shoved it towards where Syn was sitting.
In the meanwhile, Raeliana's concern was not to find out what the box contained, but to comfort her trembling son. Deftly, she knelt beside Renzo and inspected his body if he had any wounds or bruises. Upon seeing that there was none, she dared not to heave a sigh of relief, for she felt the cold sweat that began to trickle down the boy's forehead.
"There, there, mommy is here. I will not let you get harmed." Raeliana said, picking her words carefully, as she took Renzo into her embrace.
