Basketball Talent Grades(Temp)

This list goes from lowest to highest grade. Characters like Kuroko Tetsuya who have a really specialized talent will be placed in the Specialized grade. Specialized doesn't belong in any particular grade so do take note of that.

Talent Grades

※ Basic Grade

・This grade is where most people sit in. People with this talent grade can pretty much do the basics of basketball but those are the only moves they can do even with months of practice, the basics.

※ Intermediate Grade

・This grade is where people who are in atleast the top 50th percentile of the whole humanity belongs. They got the basics down and can perform some slightly advanced moves, albeit barely.

※ Advanced Grade

・People from this talent grade are often assigned as captains since they can do the basics at an advanced level while they can learn and do the advanced techniques at an intermediate level.

※ Elite Grade

・People from this talent grade gets scouted by top schools. They can do almost everything at an advanced level while the thing they specialize in, they can do at an elite level.

※ Champion Grade

・People from this talent grade appear once every ten or so years. They're often called as prolific in their own fields and is usually considered as the ace of the whole team they're in.

※ Legend Grade

・People from this talent grade appear once in a century. They are widely considered as prodigies since they grow at an astonishing degree at the hands of a great coach. In a one on one situation, people of this grade can defeat those who are in Champion grade.

※ Miracle Grade

・They appear once in a blue moon, a talent that only appear once every 1,000 years. Their talent in basketball is absurd and they can trash anyone below their grade in basket even without proper training.

※ Celestial Grade

・Rarely does a person from this talent grade appear. If they do, they'll be considered as the greatest in their own field. With talents as good as theirs, they can defeat someone with a Miracle grade talent even with a handicap.

※ Immeasurable

・No individual has ever been recorded to posses such talent, hence it is considered as a myth. A person of this talent grade is the monster among monsters that can even be considered as God level in what they do. Since they have never been seen on the court in action, people don't know just how good they are.

※ Specialized

・People from this grade cannot be categorized in any of the talent grades mentioned above. They are all good at what they do but they are trash in other fields of basketball. Hence the name, specialized.

Although this list isn't always absolute, since people can improve through hard work, effort alone can only take you so far. Without any opportunity and such, no amount of effort can make you defeat a person who have greater talent than you and also puts the same amount of effort as you.

Effort is a beautiful word, in the same level as equality, but unfortunately, it's just flowery words that you make yourself believe in order to work even harder. Take your time, know yourself, know your limits, then work a way from there. Don't go believing that what this person can do, you CAN too. That's naive. Putting in effort in what you do is great and all but don't go thinking that effort is the only thing you need to succeed. That's unfortunately not how the world works.

P.S: Just a little rant from yours truly. I just hate it when people over beautify the word 'effort'. Take motivational speakers for example. For someone who experienced society myself, I seriously hate those people. There's just something about them and what they say that irritates me to no end.

P.S.S: I'm not being pessimistic. I'm just being realistic.
