I was currently next to the brown-haired doe-eyed girl I now knew as Bella Swan, my adoptive sister. She had woken up while I was processing everything in the bathroom and as soon as I walked out I noticed her fleeting eyes looking for me through the plane.
I didn't talk much to her since then, simply thinking about what I should and shouldn't do in the situation I found myself in. From dying to transmigrating into a fictional world. Where the supernatural exists, and by the nature of my *World Mission* I definitely will have to get involved one way or the other.
A male voice sounded through the coms as the flight attendant instructed the passengers to put their seatbelts on and prepare for landing.
Bella, who had been reading her favorite book, Withering Heights. Closed the book and fastened her seatbelt.
I had never heard of the book in both of my lives but Bella had reread it many times through the years so it ought to be good.
Looking at the cover of the worn-out book, I asked. " What is it about?" While pointing at the book safely secured on her lap.
" You read now?" She asked with a raised eyebrow clear confusion in her brown eyes.
Skimming through Leo's or should I call them my memories. I realized that no, I don't read. In fact, I had trouble getting close to anything that required reading. I enjoyed playing sports, going to the gym, and playing video games. I was the typical 'cool' sports guy at school. Thankfully not a bully, a simple jock as they called it.
" No, just wanted to make conversation," I replied.
" I'm all right, you can stop worrying about me." She replied with a sigh and slightly upturned lips forming a pretty smile on her face. Her innocent eyes fixed on me with such pure and unadulterated sisterly love giving me a look of complete serenity.
In that single glance, I realized why Edward would come to fall for her. Her innocence and fragility simply gave you this almost irresistible need to protect her.
Seeing as she mistook my earlier question for concern about the landing plane. I decided to roll with it.
" If you say so." I replied and took the time to fasten my seat belt as well.

After disembarking and taking our luggage we walked toward the airport's parking lot where we easily spotted Charlie's, our Dad, police cruiser.
He seemed to have spotted us as well as he came rushing toward us.
Charlie had disheveled dark brown hair and deep brown eyes. He sported a mighty typical cop mustache and a freshly shaven beard. Charlie from what I could gather wasn't a physical affection type of guy. Like Bella, he was more of a loner. So it didn't come as a surprise when he greeted us in a rather awkward manner.
" Hi…" He said while giving us half a hug each. "*uhum*… you guys grew up quite a bit since last time." He added while pacing from foot to foot uneasily.
" Yeah, it's been a long time Dad how are doing?" I asked.
" Pretty good…pretty good….yeah. Umm…you grew your hair." He remarked referring to my shoulder-length dirty blonde hair.
" Yeah, decided to start growing it last year." I replied.
" Looks good on ya." He said.
" Thanks…" I replied unsure, as the whole conversation started becoming more and more awkward.
" Hi Ch...Dad." Bella who had been silent greeted. Almost, letting his first name slip out of habit.
"Hi…" He replied with a tight smile.
As the two most socially inept people greeted each other I decided it was wiser for me to get out of there as soon as possible.
Lifting my luggage, I holed it over my shoulder and started making my way to the cruiser.
Charlie quickly seized the occasion, as he grabbed Bella's luggage and followed after me.
Once we were safely seated in the car, with me as the eldest seated next to Charlie. We simply listened to the Radio as the green forests of Forks Washington paved the way to our new home.

Two an half hours later, we finally reached our destination. A two stories house, with white exterior walls and a black cross gable roof. The house had a huge tree at its front with long and thick branches coming extremely close to what I assumed to be Bella's window.
The grass in front of the property was freshly cut and the front porch was clean. In our driveway, an orange monstrosity of a truck was parked.
Seeing the truck here, already. I realized I wasn't in the movies version of the saga but in the books. Or maybe a mix of both as Charlie didn't have a mustache in the book.
" So what do you think?" Charlie asked us while pointing at the old chevy truck.
" Did you buy this for us?" Bella asked surprised.
" Yeah…figured you and your brother didn't want to show up at school in a cop car." He said while scratching the back of his head anxiously.
" Wow! I love it thanks Dad." Bella said with clear excitement in her uncoordinated arms as she hugged Charlie.
Charlie took the keys of the truck out and handed one to Bella and the other to me.
Bella quickly rushed to the truck wanting to explore the new vehicle clearly ecstatic with the prospect of having our own mean transportation.
" Thanks Dad, that's pretty cool." I said while giving him a love tap on the back. Before following after Bella.
Charlie simply smiled at us clearly proud we liked his homecoming gift.
