Ava jumped on the potential topic of conversation gratefully. Zeldris had been too busy scanning for potential threats around here to talk to her much since they arrived. 

She was curious so he told her more about katzkin and that helped her relax though his shoulders didn't untense the entire time. He was still on the lookout. She wasn't sure how much sleep he got last night either because he definitely fell asleep after she did and was up earlier too. 

He probably felt like he couldn't sleep much and let his guard down since he was worried about her getting hurt by accident with all of the chaos around here. Given the other demons' reactions, he didn't usually act like this. 

What did he act like when he was at home and didn't have to worry about her? She was undeniably curious but didn't see the point in asking.
