Capítulo 34: Chapter Thirty-four: The Divine City! Bursting with Enthusiasm

Creatures as exceptionally unique as Gurumi were the sole representatives of the miniature world.

Should any mishaps arise during fusion, Wang Hui would have no alternatives to turn to!

With divine servant Huyan Wu and fusion beast griffon keeping a watchful eye, there was little cause for concern regarding Gurumi's potential betrayal.

Moreover, recalling the somewhat foolish expression Gurumi had when conquered by chocolate soup, ensuring her ample sustenance would likely prevent any thoughts of treachery.

"Who could possibly refuse such delightful food?"

Having feasted to his heart's content, Wang Hui tossed some rib scraps and bun crumbs to the three tribes,

ensuring that the little people would indulge in yet another hearty meal!

Upon returning from washing the dishes, he discovered numerous little people bustling back and forth at the junction of the three tribes, commencing construction.

This was the second task Wang Hui had assigned to Na Lan Xia, aside from matters involving the blood of the purple-skinned creatures.

Preparations for the Celestial City!

To facilitate a harmonious blending of the three tribes' cultures, the location for the main city was naturally best situated at the convergence of all three territories.

The miniature city that Wang Hui had purchased was readily available; however, the little people needed to undertake some initial groundwork.

This included leveling and compacting the ground, strengthening the waterways, and so on.

He did not intend to alter the course of the river, as there was a river model within the miniature city that could be uncovered simply by removing the filler material.

Introducing the water from the river would conveniently meet the living needs of the city's residents.

Before long, snow began to fall from the skies of the miniature world.

As winter set in, the ground froze solid, and the river waters turned bone-chillingly cold, prompting the little people of the three tribes to take a break from construction.

Yet Gurumi, the so-called "king of the underground," did not rest; she extended hundreds upon hundreds of tentacles to continue working.

Her reward consisted of the chocolate soup, meat scraps, and steamed bun crumbs provided by Na Lan Xia, driving her to exert herself as a tool each day…

Observing the progress of construction, Wang Hui estimated that it would not reach satisfactory standards until the following morning, prompting him to yawn and prepare for his nightly routines before bed.

"I'll be able to purchase the second mystery box tomorrow afternoon; I wonder if I can open another miniature world…"

Lying in bed, he couldn't help but smile.

Compared to the previously monotonous and numbing routine of work, the anticipation for each coming day now was what truly constituted a fulfilling life!

...

**Year Seven of the Divine Descent,** September 7th.

Just before this year's autumn harvest, the anticipated engineering for the "Celestial City" was successfully completed.

Na Lan Xia proposed an additional food distribution for the tribe members who participated in the construction, and both Zuo Qiu Yue and Huyan Gui readily agreed.

Since cultivating the divine crop "Yumai," the food production of the Zuo Qiu clan had doubled, thereby allowing the other two tribes to trade for more abundant provisions.

However, having suffered the pangs of hunger in their early years, food remained a valuable and stable currency!

After the autumn harvest, the tribe members who received the reward grains were all smiles, often expressing their gratitude towards the deity and their leader.

Who was afraid of working harder? The fear lay in laboring in vain without reward!

The three tribes were now well-supplied, and the principles of "more labor equals more gain" could be fully implemented; everyone was eager to work to earn their rewards!

Moreover, everyone's efforts were directed toward the forthcoming divine bestowal; who wouldn't be filled with enthusiasm?

"I've heard that the Celestial City will be shared by the three tribes; who will be the city lord?"

"Of course, it must be our leader Yue! Let's not forget, had it not been for leader Yue receiving the recognition of the sacred artifact, the deity may never have descended upon us!"

"Even so, our clan's former leader is unmatched in combat prowess and is a servant of the deity, making him the most suitable candidate for city lord!"

"Ha! You are all too naïve; inquire about who is favored most by the deity, and it will be only natural for leader Xia to assume the role of city lord!"

...

At the construction site of the city, the members of the three tribes lined up to receive their reward grains, chattering animatedly.

Not far away, Gurumi, gnawing on a piece of Yumai fruit, wrinkled her nose.

The so-called Celestial City was a reward for the three tribes' efforts in eradicating the underground monsters.

As the king of the underground, it was truly irksome for her to have to pave the way for this city!

Gurumi!

With a wide mouth, she swallowed the remaining half of the Yumai in one go, then stood up, patting her belly.

She intended to approach Na Lan Xia for some chocolate soup, slipping away for a moment.

"The next time I meet the deity, I must ask him to arrange a burrow for me in the city.

The sunlight outside is simply bothersome…"

**Year Seven of the Divine Descent,** December 18th.

Due to the cooperation of the king of the underground Gurumi, the research on the special blood of the purple-skinned creatures by the three tribes was progressing rapidly!

The accumulated blood, once freed from impurities, could more smoothly enhance the physical attributes of everyone involved.

Compared to swallowing heavenly crystal stones directly, as the former leader Huyan Wu did, this method was far gentler and required less from one's physique.

Most importantly, it posed a lower risk!

As long as they were healthy tribe members who frequently engaged in combat or labor, the majority could absorb source energy through this indirect means.

Occasionally, there might be a few who experienced side effects, at worst suffering a few days of stomach upset, but without severe aftereffects.

Of course, the lower risk often implied lower returns.

This method could not yield a large number of individuals like the former Huyan Wu, the "first warrior of the three tribes"; the enhancement for tribe members typically ranged from ten to thirty percent.

It mainly improved endurance, strength, resilience, and agility, with minimal enhancement to intelligence.

Individuals as gifted as the leaders of the Na Lan clan were, after all, exceedingly rare.

Once the blood of the purple-skinned creatures was exhausted, Na Lan Xia did not instruct Gurumi to create new purple-skinned creatures.

She had not forgotten how much blood the three tribes had shed to overcome the underground, maintaining a sense of vigilance toward this king of the underground!

Thus, Na Lan Xia adjusted her approach, asking Gurumi to experiment with various harmless plants to see if she could produce something akin to the special blood of the purple-skinned creatures.

After providing a substantial amount of food reward, the king of the underground finally delivered results.

In mid-January of the following year, Gurumi successfully cultivated a variety that met expectations by infusing common mountain vines with source energy!

Na Lan Xia renamed it "Crystal Vine," signifying the derivative power of the heavenly crystal stones.

Heavenly crystal stones still belonged to the deity; she could not allow Gurumi to consume them to cultivate Crystal Vines, as that would be counterproductive.

The solution was simple: provide Gurumi with an unlimited supply of food!

By feasting to replenish her strength and utilizing her power to catalyze the growth of Crystal Vines, the resulting vine juices could then be distributed among the warriors of the three tribes to enhance their physiques.

Na Lan Xia may not have comprehended the specific applications of source energy in this context, but…

The solution was perfect, as it neither consumed heavenly crystal stones nor compromised the supply of enhancement potions!

The only downside was that Gurumi, caught in the middle, had to exert herself more; after all, she couldn't be given such abundant food for free.

"So tired…"

Gurumi sat cross-legged within the Na Lan Stone Tower, her haunting purple eyes squinting from exhaustion.

One hand stuffed Yumai fruit into her mouth, while the other kneaded the vine.

The vine, originally a vibrant green, gradually changed color, revealing delicate blue and purple streaks.

Once the entire vine transformed into a blue hue with a hint of purple, it would be deemed complete in its "crystallization"!

Subsequently, this Crystal Vine would be taken by attendants to be crushed and juiced, then allocated to the suitable tribe members for enhancement.

Upon returning to the Stone Tower, attendants brought more food and vines to Gurumi, repeating the cycle…
