"Don't even think about escaping!"
As witch Mag took to the air with her newly sprouted wings, Nalan Huaz hurried after her, leaping high in an attempt to slash her down!
Yet, Nicholas Gaki, who had been struggling against Huyan Longzhu, was suddenly enveloped in a faint glow once more.
"Immediate Reflection!"
In a remarkable display, his body surged back to life, and he swung his sword in a sweeping arc towards Nalan Huaz's back!
"Five Continuous Slashes!"
Five streaks of azure light shot forth, and Nalan Huaz felt an overwhelming sense of impending doom; he had no choice but to twist in mid-air, slashing his blade repeatedly.
Bang, bang, bang!
The Qinglong Yanyue Blade shattered three of the strikes, but the remaining two found their mark on his right leg and left shoulder, slicing through his aluminum armor and opening gaping wounds, blood spraying forth!
Nalan Huaz staggered back onto the deck, his eyes blazing with fury as he watched the witch soar further away.
"What's the rush?"
Huyan Longzhu sneered, "You don't truly believe that woman can escape, do you?"
As he spoke, he wielded his titanium spear, expertly deflecting Nicholas Gaki's relentless onslaught.
Blood dripped from the corners of his mouth, a testament to the toll of his earlier exertions that had pushed him beyond his physical limits, his movements growing increasingly sluggish.
Just as Huyan Longzhu thought he would easily capture his opponent, Gaki unexpectedly dodged his seemingly certain strike!
"Blade Slash!!"
Light erupted from Gaki's sword, and Huyan Longzhu had no time to lower his spear in defense; the intense sword energy knocked him back, sending him sprawling!
However, Gaki did not pursue; he turned and leaped over the railing, plunging into the sea, vanishing from sight…
"You bastard!"
Huyan Longzhu stumbled forward, desperation etched on his face, but there was no trace of Gaki to be found.
His leather armor lay torn asunder, and a long gash marred his chest, leaving a gruesome wound that made one shudder!
Yet, having undergone five body refinements, Huyan Longzhu's physical resilience was nearly unmatched in the clan world; this injury was far from fatal.
"Can you swim?"
He turned to Nalan Huaz, who had followed closely behind, blood seeping from three wounds on his body. The latter shook his head helplessly: "I can manage a bit, but in this condition, I fear I would perish in the sea before ever catching up."
"Utterly useless! And yet you have such a beautiful daughter!"
Huyan Longzhu cursed under his breath, lamenting his misguided ambition to capture Gaki alive…
He spun around, striding away, venting his frustration upon the young knights still embroiled in fierce combat.
"Ha…"
Nalan Huaz, though chastised, offered no retort, a smirk of amusement betraying his lips.
"The arrogant brute will soon find himself kneeling before me, begging for forgiveness!"
…
High above, witch Mag gazed down at the rapidly deteriorating battle, letting out a soft sigh.
For Nicholas Gaki to withstand two equally matched adversaries and hold out to this extent was no small feat.
Moreover, she understood that the "Storm Knight" was not one to flee in the face of danger; his plunge into the sea was a calculated tactical retreat.
Around them, the more astute knights and wizards on the ships had already begun to jump into the water, hoping to regroup with Gaki and launch a counteroffensive against their foes!
Mag knew deep down that the chances of survival for them were exceedingly slim…
"To openly display hostility towards the civilization across the sea is the Storm Kingdom's gravest miscalculation! We must return swiftly and prepare Mr. Belmou for what lies ahead."
With an expression of reluctance, she cast one last glance at the students below before turning and soaring into the distance.
Unbeknownst to her, high above the clouds, an immense and imposing figure watched her with keen interest!
"Ah, so she can fly as well?"
Wang Hui mused, curiosity piqued.
After all, he had never attempted to fly on his own, nor had he conceived of condensing primal energy into wings to take flight.
However, observing the wizards leaping into the sea revealed that such a flight spell likely demanded great skill; only this witch seemed capable of wielding it.
Regrettably, flying was not her sole unique ability.
Whoosh—
Just as witch Mag had flown a short distance from the battlefield, she suddenly heard a rushing sound approaching rapidly from behind!
Her expression shifted, and as she turned, she hastily muttered incantations, channeling two glimmers of light from the tip of her staff to envelop her eyes and her entire body.
"Arcane Vision!"
"High Mage Armor!"
Just as Mag regained her composure, she beheld a massive creature with an eagle's head and a lion's body charging towards her!
Her enhanced vision clearly traced its flight path, yet her body could barely react in time to evade.
Thud!!
The griffon collided forcefully with Mag, sending her plummeting like a rag doll towards the sea.
In the instant before she hit the water, she swung her staff: "Levitate!"
Her body was caught by an unseen force, allowing her to hover steadily above the surface of the ocean.
"Ha… ha…"
Mag gasped for breath, her complexion pale, the protective glow around her fading.
Had she not quickly cast **High Mage Armor**, the creature might have shattered her bones upon impact!
"Beast?"
Looking up at the circling griffon, Mag's expression shifted to one of uncertainty.
In her youth, she had traveled with Mr. Belmou to distant lands, even visiting the mysterious Silvermoon Kingdom several times, yet she had never encountered a creature like this!
"Could it be from the civilization across the sea…"
The more she pondered, the more alarmed she grew.
Reflecting on the battle, they had been thoroughly suppressed from the outset.
Even the wizards' anticipated **Super-Boiling Sea** had been countered effortlessly by the enemy through inexplicable means!
Now, even her **Flight Spell** had been thwarted by an aerial ambush…
Could it be that the enemy's leaders had calculated every move they made?
At that moment, the griffon suddenly folded its wings and dove sharply towards her!
Mag quickly composed herself, extending her staff towards the surface of the water, then forcefully lifting it upward.
"Water Shield!"
A thick, arched water shield, three meters in diameter, took shape, while simultaneously, Mag yanked a necklace from around her neck and hurled it skyward.
"Heavy Mist!"
As her incantation resonated, the necklace erupted, transforming into a dense cloud of mist!
The griffon, taken by surprise, plunged headfirst into the fog, its dive significantly slowed.
It screeched, flapping its wings to disperse the mist, and its powerful, sharp claws reached out for the water shield below!
Splash—whoosh!!
The water shield held for only a few seconds before it shattered, and Mag was sent reeling underwater, her prospects grim!
The griffon circled above the surface for a moment before soaring away.
"Fortunately, beasts are not endowed with great intelligence…"
Deep beneath the waves, Mag watched the griffon retreat with a sigh of relief, silently swimming away.
As the Storm Kingdom's foremost master of water magic, she effortlessly employed foundational spells like **Underwater Breathing**.
Moments later, she surfaced on a small island not far away.
Even in defeat, as the kingdom's second-ranking witch, she felt compelled to maintain her dignity.
Being drenched and disheveled was simply unacceptable.
Just as she was about to cast a drying spell, Mag suddenly noticed a tall man in a cloak striding toward her!
"Your journey ends here."
