Capítulo 58: Chapter Fifty-eight: The Boiling Sea! A Forceful Boarding Battle

Splash—splash—

As the river waters converged, the ocean waves surged, causing the thirty-two battered warships to heave with violent motion.

After three consecutive volleys from the heavy crossbows, the Storm Navy was almost engulfed in crimson.

Blood streamed along the deck's fractures, tracing horrific patterns down the hulls before finally flowing into the sea, becoming a feast for the fish.

"Don't kill me… don't kill me…"

On the **Nicholas**, the Seventh Prince huddled in the cabin, clutching his head, his voice a nervous whisper as he trembled like a leaf in the wind.

His luck in fleeing was remarkable, having scurried from the deck into the cabin just in time to escape the first volley.

And what of the hapless wizard Lanlong who had lagged behind?

That foolish simpleton attempted to use a force field spell to deflect the crossbow bolts, only to be pierced in the thigh by a splintered shaft and now lay nearby, wailing amidst a pool of blood!

The only ones steadfast on the deck were Nicholas Gaki and his knights, each wearing a grim expression.

While the four great kingdoms possessed heavy crossbows, they were typically affixed to city walls as deterrents,

After all, to ensure both range and power necessitated the use of heavy winches, which placed a high demand on material strength!

Even the financial resources of the Storm Kingdom were insufficient to consider mounting heavy crossbows on their ships…

But look at the enemy's gleaming silver "ironclad vessels", they seemed to have an abundance of high-strength materials.

How could they hope to contend with such an advantage?

As the enemy's left and right flanks dispatched a dozen warships to encircle and annihilate them,

Nicholas Gaki commanded the signalmen to relay orders for the ships to maneuver while glancing at the witch Mag, who, wielding her staff, led over twenty students back onto the deck.

This group of wizards ranged from youthful novices to elderly sages, each brandishing a staff of varied design, yet moving in synchronized harmony as they traced invisible patterns in the air while murmuring incantations.

Moments later, Mag stood at the forefront, raising her staff and commanding, "Water spirits, heed my summons! With your power, stir this expanse of water! Boiling Sea!"

As her words resonated, the twenty students and the other wizards stationed on their respective ships raised their staffs together, unleashing a torrent of invisible energy into the sea…

Splash—

The already tumultuous surface of the water appeared as if countless rods were thrashing below, erupting into a chaotic spray and surging currents!

At that moment, the injured wizard Lanlong, leaning against the cabin door, could not help but display an expression of awe mixed with envy.

"An eighth-tier spell, the Boiling Sea, summoned by Mag with dozens of low-tier wizards, generates power rivaling that of a ninth-tier spell…

This old woman is becoming increasingly formidable!"

Simultaneously, Wang Hui observed the battlefield from above, keenly aware of the wizards' actions.

"Ah, the extent of this spell is indeed impressive…"

Lost in reflection, Wang Hui extended his hand for a rough estimation.

The area of the boiling sea was significantly larger than his palm, vast enough to encompass the size of a town in the Bay World!

Moreover, this boiling expanse continued to spread forward under the guidance of the witch's staff, gradually enveloping all of the three clans' warships that had ventured into the sea!

The violent turbulence persisted, forcing the warriors to grasp the rails and crouch down, barely managing to keep their balance and avoid being thrown overboard.

The sailors of the three clans, lacking experience, found themselves somewhat panicked by the sudden chaos, causing their formation to break apart,

The warships that had emerged from the left and right flanks had become ensnared, as if trapped in a quagmire, unable to complete their encirclement of the enemy!

Standing resolutely at the railing, Nalan Xia remained composed, having received intelligence from the Divine about the enemy's wizards, she was well-prepared with countermeasures.

"Gulu Mi! Act now!"

Nalan Xia called down.

In response, a mass of blue-purple slime hidden in the depths of the sea stirred into action.

Bubbles rose as its form extended countless gelatinous tendrils, straining to bind to each aluminum-clad warship, forcibly stabilizing them with its strength!

"Get over here!"

Gulu Mi's small slime face twisted in determination as it gritted its features, whipping its outer tendrils.

The six aluminum-clad warships on the left and right flanks were yanked forward, successfully escaping the coverage of the **Boiling Sea**!

With the influence of the turbulent currents diminished, the oarsmen exerted their strength to row fiercely, causing the six aluminum-clad ships to accelerate, encircling the enemy before the Storm Navy could adjust their formation!

Bang!!

In a moment of chaos, collisions erupted among the warships.

The Storm Navy, already at a disadvantage in terms of material, had sustained significant damage from the preceding three volleys, and now faced the harsh impact of the aluminum-clad vessels, splintering wood and causing hulls to cave in!

"For the Divine! For the three clans!"

"Annihilate the invaders!"

Leading the respective squads on either side were Zuo Qiu Yue and Huyan Gui.

Both commanders, clad in full armor, leaped onto the enemy's deck, rallying their troops with fervent shouts!

Most knights aboard had been thrown off balance by the initial collisions, and could only muster the strength to grasp their swords and join their fellow warriors from the three clans in battle.

"Damn it…"

Nicholas Gaki cursed under his breath aboard the flagship.

His wizards had clearly managed to control the enemy ships with a widespread spell, he could not comprehend how the adversaries had turned the tide, initiating a boarding combat against them!

As two gleaming warships charged towards them from the front, Nicholas Gaki, without a moment's hesitation, turned to witch Mag to issue urgent instructions, grasping his square shield and longsword, readying himself for the fight.

"Focus your combat spirit!"

"Reinforce the exterior!"

"Heighten vital sense!"

With each incantation, three colored auras manifested around Nicholas Gaki.

Just then, the flagship was rocked by a collision as two aluminum-clad vessels crashed into each other, trapping them in between!

"So you are the mastermind behind the invaders? Prepare to die!"

The elder Nalan Huaz, his hair and beard intermixed with gray, still radiated the boldness of his youth.

Ignoring the youthful knights charging towards him, he leaped over the crowd, landing heavily before Nicholas Gaki.

With one hand raised, he brandished his Qinglong Yanyue Blade, aiming a decisive downward strike at his opponent!

Thunk!!

Gaki sidestepped, raising his shield to block the blow, the force of the strike jolted his arm, leaving it momentarily numb, and he could not help but be astonished.

This old man possesses extraordinary strength!

Yet Gaki would not let his composure falter, retorting coldly, "Have you not had your fill? If you are willing to surrender, the Storm Kingdom will ensure your comfort."

Nalan Huaz merely grinned, dismissing the offer as he gripped the hilt with both hands and pressed downward with renewed force.

Creak!!!

Gaki felt a sudden increase in pressure, the left side of his shield sagged as his feet splintered the thick wooden deck beneath him!

At that moment, witch Mag pivoted her staff, enveloping him in radiant light…
