Although the Engineer Walker's new toy was only a robot imbued with weird lines, it was the marionette he had shown off to the wealthy some time ago, to earn their investment. Back then, Baiyi considered the Phoenix marionette more of a crowd-pleaser than an actual weapon. The huge sum of money that the Engineer Walker raised, allowed him to make massive upgrades to the Phoenix marionette. He increased the machine's power consumption, giving it a greater appetite for Baiyi's Void Energy.
Yo, candid thought time, True Believers! If I may be frank, I just wish the Angels could descend already. Personally, and no offense to those who enjoy them, I’m no fan of watching one side obliterating the other side in hilariously unequal levels. The Voidwalkers have all kinds of OP gimmicks and tactics with absolutely no shortcoming or openings for retaliation, while the Church, which has been hyped up to no end as if fighting them might obliterate the Walkers’ existence altogether, have… Lotsa expendables, people screaming “What the hell just happened” ad infinitum, people who swung their blades only to inflict absolutely zero damage, clerics and sorcerers being useless and taken out easily, and the leaders being either absurdly arrogant without any reason to, or stuck in perpetual shocked Pikachu face. It’s just… no fun. It reminded me of one of my cousins playing Monster Hunter Tri with hacked stats and stuff. We partnered locally to hunt a monster I was having trouble dealing, only to watch him down it within five minutes. And then he turned to me and said, “I can see why you struggled with this thing. It was a bit challenging, but if you have the right techniques, it’s an easy hunt.” Great advice, cous, I ain’t playing with ya ever again.

But that’s just my thought. Granted, the war isn’t over, and the Angels aren’t here yet. It might become much tougher and more fun in the chapters forward? But what do you think as of now, True Believers?
