Resumen
What is a Daoist Master? One that is imageless in ten directions and vanishes in the six paths; unrestrained by the three realms and the five elements.
After a day at the clinic, Dr. Li Feng met with an accident on his way home. When he regained consciousness, Li Feng found himself in the body of a weak teenage boy who was born out of wedlock, Shen Lian. Who was the father? The mother would not tell. A scripture he found among his mother’s remnants was the only thing he knew about his father.
The mother came from a wealthy and well known family. When Shen Lian was recalled back to the Shen family, he was entitled for part of the grandfather’s inheritance and businesses. Despite the grand value, Shen Lian did not take a cent with him when he decided to leave the family. Why would he leave this comfortable life behind?
His journey with this new identity brought him into this new world as he travelled between realms in search of knowledge to improve his Daoist skills. As he conquered trial after trial, would he become the chosen one? Will he succeed in becoming the Daoist Master? Only time will tell.

Alternate synopsis: "I admired the full moon atop Forbidden City and drank wine at Dongting. Wanderer of Jianghu who does not know my fame, a flying sword can behead with ease." Oh, I butchered the poem, man I suck! Anyway, this is the kind of novel that is really popular in China, but whose popularity here depends upon the translator. The novel is rooted in Chinese myths and legends, and unfortunately most of the novels here with that have a subpar translation. The MC is really intelligent from what I've heard. The novel is certainly a great work, but if the translator doesn't spruce up, we'll get a butchered version. That would be a disservice to the author of this fine work. Something mediocre with a good translation would be better than this fine novel getting a bad TL. By the way, the setting for this novel is around the same as Seeking the Flying Sword Path. If the two translators could collaborate then it would be really great.
Please I don't want the bull that is a harem. Just be a loyal guy for god's sake. No cringe, please What do we want? EPIC FIGHTS What do we want? GOOD STORIES When do we want them? NOW,WE'RE DYING HERE WTF did I just write Why do I feel so retarded now? Why am I writing my thoughts out? Why did I write this review even though I have yet to read a single chapter of this book? Even I don't know why. Just know that 10 other reviewers haven't read this yet ,so I feel less retarded now. SPONGEBOB IS DA BEST! SPONGEBOB IS GAY! I just farted
I've taken an interest to this coz of that synopsis. Hope it stays true to the synopsis and is a "discovering amazing things in this vast world and trying to understand the Dao" type of story. But if it derails into a typical "you dare look at my girl,....ok then DIE!!" or some power cultivating without any logic or mindless slaughtering of ancient clans just because of a useless "young master" offending the MC then...........I would be disappointed...
I seriously find it boring, At the start it was interesting but for some odd reason the author left evrything hanging. The Mc's attitude towards his new family seem idiotic to the point that it doesn't even make sense why the family was introduce in the story just to be left afterwards with a very very very few chaptet mentioned. The mc granda pa was interesting sadly he was just mentioned for the sake of mentioning I haf no idea what the author was thinking aftet reading 40+ chaptets i ask my self., what the hell did i just read. The cultivation somethig was also left hanging wih vague introduction I was surprised that the mc became OP after a few chapters. I can guess the Mc was just being prepared by the author but for god sake why was it so boring... Their was a fiancée mentionef after that none, their was a master mentioned aftet that none. For crying out loud the mc was so OP yet so weak in character it's totally chaotic and unbalance charactet. So far all i can remember is mc this mc that. When that evil god was introduce i expected some interesting development because how epic the foreshadowing was but it was also my first disappointment since the author might just got lazy and decide to end it all in the most idiotic way and the aftermath of that is also idiotic to the point that i feel like punching someone. Then when i thought that the story becomes stable author went kapoosh and jusy made mc decide to go into a journey. For god sake atleast end everything first before moving on to another!!! Mc relationship towards his family went kapoosh. Mc meet mysterious oldman and his daughter also went kapoosh!! Mc meet a strong antagonist also went kapoosh... The only impression i have on this novel is that it nevet finish any setting and if it ever did it is rush or just ended in an idiotic way. And the feeling that you are always left hanging it's more annoying than your good old cliff hangers.
So this is another reincarnation story? Don't get me wrong, i really like reincarnation stories especially when the mc use/apply knowledge from his past life to his current one. As long as charactee development is done well then i will add this to my library. On a side note, at first i read the title as Daoist Masturbator so i was shocked and did a double take. This is another reason i might add this to my library

its a certain drop if this novel turns out to be a harem type... why cant the males just choose one female companion? is that so hard? Greed cant be fulfilled until death comes..
Like it, love it, and you guys should definitely read it. This novel is a novel where you have a mc that goes beyond the common senses of muscled headed mcs of wuxia and xianxia novels. He’s level headed and not brash, dude is like Batman with a little sage and zen quality in him. Just because he’s not brash doesn’t mean he’s a pushover. I just love the novel, can’t wait for more translations.
Revelar spoilerFull of Taoist Style. This is a good story with philosophy of life. It's show the different attitude and belief through the characters. Personally, I like this style of story. But some reader which taste prefer Fantasy-action-advanture may not like it. Cause, the story rhythm are slowly flow no hast nor delay like water.
SOOOO many of the beautiful literary and religious nuances are lost in translation. (More so than normal.) To the point that I want to stab somebody. If you are going to throw around a billion pinyin terms, give the readers something to connect it to, otherwise it is a burden. Right now, as this is translated, it is completely burdensome. If you are going to reference poems, give us the footnotes so we can read the original/poet's other works. (Yes, I am that dork. Sue me.) The religious themes of Daoism vs Buddhism to defy the heavens are very strong and in this story would have been argued clearly through classical texts and philosophical thoughts. If I haven't read many of the original texts that I have seen referenced here, I would have been 100% lost. So... Sorry, but consider this my farewell.
I would recommend this novel to Post Malone, Tekashi Sixnine, Lil Pump and the Gucci Gang. I would love to one day see a gangsta wuxia novel with Blacks.
Hello, fellow Daoists! Let us hope that our fellow Daoist translator does not butcher this novel! Best of luck. Let's look forward to a plot armored main character and some Chinese historical and mythical background. All in all, let's hope for something similar to ISSTH
I really like this novel and it's my favorite novel now. I had enough of all the stupid mcs who think with their **** and does stupid young masters so i was looking for a like time for a novel like this l. But the translation is a little bad partly because he doesn't has an editor to help and the problem is nobody likes these types of novels they like does annoying harem novels withs lots of faceslaps. What basically happens in those novels is tge mc goes to a place the annoying young master looks down on him then he starts to fight the antagonist says the name of his technique the bystanders keep says the mc is going to lose he is week he can't win and then bam!!!. O and it still isn't finished the young masters whole family goes after hin annoy him till he destroys the family. And the keeps on repeating itself. I used to like it years ago when i first started read Chinese novel but now it's very annoying and keeps on getting on my nerves. What i hate in Chinese cultivation novels: 1: fighting enemies with cultivation a lot more the you. 2: be very young but still stronger and smarter than people millions of years older then you. 3: heals limbs and his whole body easily even when he becomes a lot stronger. 4: Cultivate with a unique technique and become so strong the cultivation levels don't matter (one of my favorite things in novels is when he enters new cultivation realms so my favorite movels Re the ones whose cultivation is the same as everybody alse. 5: Harems And forget many othe important ones.
This is a real xianxia novel. I so much love the story, every morning I always rush to read the updates. the translator and the author are Great. Nice novel
all these novels are the same, he's going to be a pleb first and then rise to be the daoist master after a few years of hardships. aiya, well, we will see if it's decent soon enough.
Giving up 75 chapters in. Either the story was written quite poorly or the translation's butchering the story. Its quite quite difficult to follow whats happening for several reasons including missing or slightly malformed sentences which make it quite difficult to understand what is happening and make you think you may have missed a paragraph, An overreliance on Chinese poems religon and mythology which could work if any of it were explained - as it stands it just seems like a way of extending the text. Overall it had potential but I don't think it'll ever really be worth reading.
Action packed fights, intense training scenes, and interesting cultivation methods, are all things you won't find in this story. The translation itself is a slog to read through, partially due to the overly flowery language and content of the source material. So far 47 ch in, there has been many more pgs dedicated to poetry that doesn't translate well, or at least hasn't been, than pgs of fighting, cultivating, and learning combined. I feel like author is trying to show off how cultured he is. The fights are very bland as far as I can interpret from the confusing translation. Mc suddenly get good at techniques without any on screen training or exploration of the technique itself. This does have some potential, Mc is interestingat least, but potential was squandered by poor translating and writing.
