As long as he did not cancel the Soul Contract from his side, there should have been no way for Vicious to liberate himself from it.
This was similar to how the Deathless Monarch, despite being a God Monarch, was unable to free himself from a Soul Contract on his own.
In order to prevent Vicious from turning against him, he had made sure to seal a Soul Contract with him while they were on the Master Teacher Continent. This way, even if Vicious gained the ability to escape from the Book of Heaven's Path, he would still be bound by the laws of the Soul Contract.
"Ah, the Soul Contract? It was a headache to me for quite a while, but I realized that my worry was unfounded. What I have in me is the malignant energy that can even neutralize the heavens! As long as I can obtain sufficient strength, it isn't too difficult to tear apart that farce of a Soul Contract!" Vicious smirked.

Heyy everyone!
We've finally come to the end of this novel~ Whee!
It wasn't an easy three years, balancing the translation while coping with the other pressures from life, but yet again, it feels like it's all worth it when I see others enjoying my fruits of labor.
For those who know me, I often scroll through the comments section, and I think I might have read most of the comments in every chapter. It's probably the greatest source of motivation I get in this line of work heh.
I keep mentioning that I'd like to hold an AMA (Ask Me Anything), but I never got around to doing it. It's actually quite common amongst novel translators, and I've seen quite a few people doing it before. I would like to do it for real this time around. As for my future plans, quite a few people have been asking me about it so far. I'm intending on getting to work on The Beautiful Time With You (BTY), which is another novel on this website that I dropped due to work pressures.
I also started translating another novel over on my WordPress called Ninth Special District. It's a novel situated in a post-apocalyptic non-supernatural world. It's a bit darker and the language is much cruder. It's very different from LoHP because I wanted to try a new genre and challenge myself, and well, I'm still struggling quite a bit with it haha.
