Capítulo 29: The Strategy Begins
The gesture was almost childish and endearing, but the sight of the earth cracking under each strike left Rocco a little bit intimidated.
As expected of Georgio the Hyena—his strength was truly extraordinary.
"It's unforgivable to involve the Young Master in this mess. Before it escalates, we should be eliminated this woman," Ragar stated coldly.
Rocco let out a strained chuckle at Ragar's ruthless suggestion.
While it was unusual to hear such bloody talk from Ragar, it reminded Rocco of the world he now lived in—a world ruled by the mafia.
Parent killing child, child killing parent—such atrocities were not just thoughts but actions that occurred regularly in this dark underworld.
The chilling reality of his circumstances settled in once more, but Rocco quickly shook it off and cleared his throat to refocus the group.
Once Georgio and Ragar had visibly calmed and turned their attention back to him, he picked up a branch.
Beneath where he had scrawled "Strategy Meeting," he began to write out the plans he had been devising over the past few days.
"My mother will probably bring about her own downfall, so we won't need to do anything on that front. What's more important is… since I'm normally forbidden from entering the main family's estate, this party presents a rare opportunity. I have to make use of this time to accomplish things I can only do there."
As Rocco spoke calmly, he wrote the first strategy in the dirt: "Plan 1: Help my brother."
Both Georgio and Ragar tilted their heads in confusion, their expressions asking what he meant.
Rocco grinned proudly, puffing out his chest as he explained.
"This is the first part of the plan! Once I get into the main family's estate, I'll help my older brother and… uh… win his favor—or rather, earn his gratitude!"
As the two of them blinked their eyes in surprise, Rocco leaned in close to whisper in their ears.
The secretive meeting continued in hushed tones, with just the three of them sharing the details of the plan.
A few days after their secret, hushed strategy meeting, the day of Rocco's sixth birthday party finally arrived.
Dressed to the nines and fully prepared, Rocco stood with Ragar and Georgio behind him, conducting one last check.
Both Ragar and Georgio were also impeccably dressed in black suits, fitting their roles as Rocco's attendants heading to the main family's estate.
Ragar, who usually wore his blond hair loose, had slicked it back neatly, while Georgio, whose red hair fell to his shoulders, had tied it up in a tidy bun.
Both of them looked incredibly sharp and striking.
Placing a hand over his chest pocket, Rocco ensured that the item he had prepared for the first operation—"Operation To Win Over My Brother's Favor"—was safely in place.
It was very crucial and forgetting it was not an option.
Adjusting the stiff collar of his jacket, Rocco gave his chest a firm pat, a little ritual to mentally prepared himself up.
