Capítulo 19: Kira: Not A Complication
Hanging tight to Lena as if my life depended on it, I bucked against her in the throes of my passion as the orgasm ripped through me without mercy. Lena trashed about, her hands tied securely to the bedpost as she tried to contain the pleasure she was feeling. Soon, I fell over her, breathing hard and fast as I tried to get myself back.
With a smug smile, I reached up and loosened the knot binding her wrists with a simple move. At once, Lena hugged me tight and kissed me. I kissed her back with as much fervor and we hung onto each other like survivors of a shipwreck.
For a long time, all I heard was our ragged breathing, but pretty soon, that began to reduce.
When I was finally able to get my voice back, I muttered, "I'm sorry I kissed Jace without telling you, I didn't plan it. It just crossed my mind and it looked like something controversial enough to do."
Lena ran her fingers across my cheek, wiping off the sweat, "It's okay, the good thing is that it worked. Then tabloids are already buzzing about your kiss. And since you clearly initiated it, it's putting to bed the rumors that this marriage is only a business strategy."
"Well, it's not a lie, is it?"
"No, it's not. But you only reveal this truth when the company is good and ready."
"Well, if my uncle has his way, that won't happen," I muttered as I got off the bed and picked up my robe which I wore over my naked form.
Behind me, Lena sat up, massaging her wrists as she pulled her knees up to her chest and rested her jaw on them, "so, what was yesterday about? What did your uncle talk to you about that had you so upset?"
I stopped then and looked at her, she was still naked, except for the binds that were still attached to her wrists. With her knees folded against her breasts, and the look she gave me, I felt a stirring in my belly, reminding me of just how much I loved her. I let out a sigh and gently lowered myself to the couch as I began to tell her everything. Like Casey, I never kept anything from her. After all, she was my girlfriend. And while everything we had was secret, it didn't make it any less real.
As I spoke, I was peeling off the artistic nails that I had attached to my fingers for the dinner. Every now and then, I ran my fingers through my hair, ruffling it and making it look haggard. But I didn't care about all that. This was the third time I was talking about it, and it was a bit easier for me to handle it. Now, all I wanted to think about was a solution to my predicament, which was why I couldn't allow for any distractions or complications.
"This is why you're against the idea of Jace being with someone else?" Lena asked me and I nodded at that.
"It's just one reason though, there's a number of them."
"What about you and I? Is that what I am to you? A complication?"
"My baby…" I muttered, "Come here."
She looked sulky for a few moments, but she got to her feet and walked to meet me on the couch where she sat on my lap.
"You're not a complication or a distraction, but you have to admit that if we're not careful about all this, then you very well could become a complication."
"Come on… you don't have to say it like I don't know. But why won't Jace enjoy what we share as well? It doesn't seem fair, does it?"
"No, it doesn't. I get to have a girlfriend and he doesn't. But the truth is that I just don't trust him. Or his choice of a woman. How can I be sure this woman won't blow the lid off everything? That is what I'm most scared of."
Lena shifted in my lap, took my hair, and twirled it around her finger, "This has always been the problem with you. You like to take charge of everything."
"Come on," I muttered. "You love it when I take charge. If I'm right, that's one of the major reasons you love me."
Lena smiled softly at me, leaning in closer to me, "I know. But you also have to accept that you're not the only one in control of this. Jace wants this merger to work as much as you do, I don't think he'll allow anything to ruin it."
I kept quiet for a while, thinking about her words. I wrapped my hands around her waist, holding her close as I buried my face into the nape of her neck. She was right; it wasn't fair that I was willing to have a happy relationship while also trying to deny that for Jace. However, I still couldn't just relax maybe if I knew who the woman was, maybe learning one or two things about her could help me decide the next step to take.
"Do you think I'm a control freak?" I asked Lena.
She gave me another smile as she shifted closer, pressing her naked body against me, "You already said it, that's why I love you."
"Maybe for now I should focus on finding his lover."
"And what happens then?" Lena prodded.
I swallowed, "Honestly, I have no idea. I guess we'd have to cross that bridge when we get to it."
Just then, a phone began to vibrate strongly. It was loud against the quiet of the hotel room. It was coming from the bedside stool. We both knew that it was Lena's phone. She placed a light kiss on my cheek and slowly pushed herself up. Then, sashaying over to the bed, she picked up her phone and when she saw the caller ID, she glanced over at me, "Speak of the devil."
She answered the call and said easily, "Hello Jace…"
I listened to the one-sided conversation, saying nothing and keeping perfectly still as she spoke to Jace. When the call was over, she tossed the phone to the bed and looked around the hotel room for her gown. When she saw it, she hurried over to it and picked it up.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Jace just asked me to set up a meeting with your uncle. You see, he's taking charge of the situation."
"I know," I said easily as I got to my feet. "But then, my uncle is one thing and the woman Jace is fucking is another. You'll be with him at the meeting?"
"I don't think so," Lena said.
"Yeah, Uncle Leo won't have that kind of conversation with you in the room. He's rude like that." As I spoke, I watched as the gown shimmied over her body and I felt my heart skip a beat. I smiled cheesily at her, "I really didn't make a mistake when buying this gown for you did I? It was made for you, Lena."
She blushed as she fingered the necklace, "What can I say? You know me too well."
"Come here, baby," I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her close. "Did Jace give you a timeline?"
She chuckled at that, "What?"
"Come on, you don't have to be in such a hurry, do you?"
I kissed her deeply, pulling her closer to me as our tongues lashed. When we pulled away from each other, we were breathing deeply and fiercely.
"No," Lena said with a huffed voice. "I don't have to be in a hurry."
With a grin, we fell back into the bed.
