Capítulo 265: Chapter 265

'I will, no matter what it takes, please... save me.'

Kagano Nanami seemed to be grasping at straws, desperately shouting in her heart.

The next moment, an emerald appeared out of thin air, glowing brightly on Kagano Nanami's forehead. The light frightened the crazed woman who was trying to strangle her daughter to death. The emerald merged into Kagano Nanami's body, and her clothes were transformed by the light into a witch-like spiritual outfit. A witch hat adorned with the emerald appeared on her head.

Kagano Nanami felt an unprecedented power flowing through her. She knew what she could do now, and a lot of information simultaneously rushed into her mind. Before she could fully process it, an 'angel' in the form of a witch's broom appeared in her hand.

"Fake Witch!"

A wailing voice escaped Kagano Nanami's mouth, and the woman who had been choking her instantly transformed into a funny, ugly frog. The frog croaked in fear. Kagano Nanami stood up awkwardly, stepped on the frog, and walked out of the already chaotic "home."

As Kagano Nanami walked away, the frog transformed back into the unconscious woman, lying on the ground. It was already dusk, and Kagano Nanami ran desperately down the street, not knowing where she was going. She had no idea where she could go after leaving that "home."

She kept running, as if fleeing from hell itself. When she finally stopped, out of breath and clutching the wall for support, tears streamed down her face, and she laughed.

"Hahaha..."

The laughter was heartbreaking, filled with pain and a twisted sense of freedom.

"Why didn't I leave sooner? I should have left that woman a long time ago."

She knelt on the ground, covering her eyes with her hands, sobbing.

"I... I just wanted you to love me... even if it was just once."

"I don't want to take revenge on you at all..."

Footsteps echoed in the empty street, and Kagano Nanami slowly raised her head, her face wet with tears. She was too exhausted to care what others thought of her anymore.

What came into view was an incredibly handsome man and a woman who looked as though she was dressed in a wedding gown. She recognized the aura of the man who had given her power—the Takumi. And the woman in the white dress, she too was an elf.

Kagano Nanami wiped her tears with her arm, her voice trembling as she looked at Takumi.

"Takumi, are you here to take me away?"

Despite the power she had gained, she still could not believe that someone as frail and unloved as herself could be chosen.

Takumi knelt down, gently pulling Kagano Nanami into his embrace, his voice soft.

"This world may not always be beautiful, but there is still beauty in it. Kind girls like you deserve that beauty."

"Cry it all out, let out all the pain in my arms. Then be strong, be brave, and accept all the good things in this world. Protect them."

He gently patted her back.

"It's not that you were unloved, it's just that I hadn't found you yet. See? I'm here now. This is a love that lasts until the end of the universe."

Kagano Nanami, overwhelmed with emotions, felt a warmth she had never known. She hugged Takumi tighter, burying her face in his chest, and cried. But this time, they weren't tears of pain.

Takamiya Mio witnessed the scene, her lavender eyes showing a newfound depth of emotion. "Is this redemption?" she whispered to herself. Was Takumi redeeming them?

Kagano Nanami's tears had already soaked through Takumi's clothes. He wasn't wearing any divine garments at this moment—just ordinary clothes—as he gently patted her back.

Kagano Nanami's growth had been stunted, never having a proper meal, always going hungry. Even as an elf, her frail appearance hadn't vanished immediately—her long, green hair was still messy, her body still painfully thin.

After some time, Kagano Nanami calmed down, breathing in the comforting scent of the god holding her. Her cheeks flushed, and her ears reddened in embarrassment. She had just hugged a god, crying into his clothes and ruining them.

Slowly, she let go, lowering her head.

She cautiously peeked at Takumi, only to find him looking at her gently. Startled, she ducked her head down like a scared rabbit.

"Um... Takumi... I'm sorry for dirtying your clothes," Kagano Nanami stammered.

Takumi reached out, pinching her cheek playfully.

"What's wrong? Your cheeks are so hot—are you shy?"

Kagano Nanami nodded, blushing even harder.

Takumi smiled and pulled her up from the ground. "I'm here to take you away. Are you ready?"

Kagano Nanami nodded nervously, remembering the words Takumi had spoken to her earlier.

'If gods love you, will you also love gods?'

Takumi wiped away the lingering tears on Kagano Nanami's face, his voice filled with affection. "I want to take you to the courtyard of the gods—a place where all the good things in the world gather. Is there anything else you want to do in this world?"

Kagano Nanami shook her head. "There's nothing for me here anymore, Takumi."

She had no remaining ties to this world. Next, she would go to the Takumi's garden—a place where all good things gathered. Her thoughts momentarily drifted back to her mother, and a hint of sadness filled her eyes. She just wanted her mother to love her once, just once. But now, it was over.

Her life had been filled with misfortune, unloved by anyone—but now she was loved by a god. Since Takumi loved her, she would now dedicate everything to him.

At that moment, Kagano Nanami's stomach growled loudly. Embarrassed, she quickly covered it, keeping her head down to avoid being seen as troublesome. But then she smelled the aroma of food. Looking up, she saw Takumi holding a box of the "Family Meal Bucket."

Kagano Nanami suddenly understood—there was a connection among the elves. The lady in the red dress had also been an elf.

"The fried chicken from last time... it was from you, Takumi..." Kagano Nanami choked up, tears brimming again. Happiness filled her heart.

Takumi smiled, patting her head. "Alright, enough crying. Let's fill that growling belly of yours." He tore off a drumstick and gently pushed it into her hands.

Tears streamed down Kagano Nanami's cheeks as she ate, her heart brimming with gratitude.

"Thank you, Takumi. Thank you for loving me... Thank you."
