It's been months since I started walking through the Dragon Graveyard. So far, all I've encountered are the remnants of dragon souls—accumulations of their elemental power that formed after death. These souls weren't truly alive, just lingering energies, waiting for a suitable vessel.
When I entered their range, they seemed to latch onto me, absorbing into my being. At first, it was disorienting, but gradually, I started to feel the effects. The dragon souls enhanced my physical strength and affinity, almost like they were refining my dragon blood to a higher category. This is why I chose not to take the higher-ranked dragon blood from the system. The souls themselves were doing something more profound, something I couldn't fully comprehend yet, but it was shaping my power in a way the system's dragon blood couldn't.
I continued walking through the graveyard, feeling the swirling elemental power strengthen me. My body had changed drastically—my senses were sharper, my strength had increased tenfold, and even my connection to the dragon blood seemed to deepen, as if I was merging with these forgotten beings. The longer I stayed here, the more I could feel their will intertwining with mine. It was an eerie, but exhilarating sensation.
Another three months passed, and during this time, the system informed me that I had reached the Lord level in Dragon blood. Beyond Dragon Lord, the next stages were Dragon Duke, Prince, and finally King, but each jump was massive. Despite all the time spent refining my blood, training, and absorbing the dragon souls around me, I had yet to advance to the next tier beyond Dragon Lord.
The power was there, I could feel it coursing through my veins, but the threshold for the next level felt far beyond my reach. Even with the dragon blood enhancing my strength and affinity, there was something missing, something that I couldn't quite grasp.
I knew that simply absorbing more dragon souls and refining the blood wasn't going to be enough. I needed something more—a catalyst to push me into the next stage. The Dragon Graveyard had given me power, but it wasn't enough to break through to Dragon Duke. I began contemplating what the next step might be, wondering if there was something hidden in the graveyard that I hadn't discovered yet, something that could accelerate my progress.
For now, all I could do was continue honing my abilities and waiting for the right moment. The journey ahead was still long, but I was starting to feel that the true test was just beginning.
As I ventured deeper, I soon encountered my first sentient dragon soul.
ROAR!
"A T-rex-looking one, huh?" I muttered, clenching my fists. In this graveyard, one could not use Spirit Power unless they possessed a dragon bloodline. Even then, only the top-tier dragons of Dragon King level could fully utilize their Spirit Power. As a result, I had to rely solely on my physique, which was already formidable but had grown even stronger thanks to the dragon bloodline within me.
"Not to mention…" I raised my hands, and the air around them shimmered faintly. A hazy aura began to form, enveloping my fists.
Spiritual Power. I could utilize it here, and it was currently my greatest weapon.
Though gaining it was not that simple, as like everyone who do not cultivate Spiritual power mine was Spirit origin realm, but perhaps due to my double transmigration I was Advanced Spirit origin realm in Spiritual power.
and after it comes the Spirit Connection realm, this is the true start of Spiritual power cultivation as it's in this realm one can feel and control their Spiritual Power, and right now I am at the Intermediate stage of it with 243 points of Spiritual power, and yes, the Spiritual power is counted in pints with first realm Spirit origin realm only having 0~99 points and then next realm Spirit Connection realm having 100~499 points.
Looking at the dragon soul ahead, I muttered, "Well, this is going to be tough."
The dragon soul emanated an intimidating presence. Despite being merely a fragment of its former self, its vibrant red hue identified it as a Fire Dragon. Even at less than 1% of its original power, it was still one of the most formidable dragons in this graveyard.
"Time to test my limits," I said, stepping forward, my aura flaring in response to the challenge ahead.
As I stepped forward, the ground beneath me trembled slightly from the residual pressure of the Fire Dragon Soul. Its form shimmered like a mirage, the glowing red essence crackling with the remnants of elemental fire. The air grew hotter with every step I took, and the heatwaves distorted the desolate scenery around us.
The Fire Dragon Soul let out a guttural roar, its sound echoing like the wrathful cries of a thousand storms. Without warning, it lunged forward. Even as a mere fragment of its power, its speed was astonishing.
I sidestepped, narrowly avoiding its massive claw as it crashed into the ground, creating a small crater. Flames erupted from the point of impact, forcing me to leap back to avoid being scorched.
"Not bad for a soul fragment," I muttered, gritting my teeth. My fists tightened, and I activated my Dragon Bloodline Resonance. A faint, golden hue began to spread across my skin, enhancing my physical resilience and amplifying my strength.
The Fire Dragon Soul whipped its tail, a blur of red energy that swept across the battlefield. I braced myself, crouching low, and slammed both fists into the ground. The resulting shockwave met the tail head-on, deflecting it slightly. However, the sheer force of the collision sent me sliding back several meters, my feet digging trenches into the charred earth.
I raised my hands again, focusing my Spiritual Power. The hazy aura around my fists condensed further, shimmering like molten steel. With a burst of energy, I charged forward.
The Fire Dragon Soul opened its maw, unleashing a torrent of searing flames that surged toward me like a tidal wave. I crossed my arms, channeling the Spiritual Power into a protective barrier. The flames collided with it, pushing me back, but I held firm.
