Sitting on the roof of the last cabin at the back of the Valyria's Sigh, Rafael was looking at the doom timer that was in its final seconds. Almost all of the crew and passengers left to answer the Captain's call. Sitting next to Rafael were Omar and Zhang, and near them on the deck were the most important figures on the ship. Everyone was in the front row to watch what would happen. Further back, the new passengers who still didn't know anything didn't understand what they were about to see. Soon, some talkative crew members began to say that one of the ship's owners was the Red Sage. That was enough for many heated conversations to begin, and that included the disaster that was about to happen.
Further back, there was a man with green eyes looking at a girl with her head down with the same eyes.
"Father, I... was just following Mother's orders, Lord knows we wouldn't dare disobey her."
The man looking at the girl was Esmer, who had just discovered that her daughter Zaya was also one of the ship's crew members.
"Okay, but you should know that you were very lucky that no one has investigated using magic until now... Sooner or later they will find out that it was your mother who committed that attack. You are safe on the ship since I have something that can block that kind of power, but your mother is on her own..."
Esmer is interrupted by his butler who approached in the middle of his sermon.
"Sir, I heard what is happening... One of the owners of this ship is the person who spread the rumors, the Red Sage, and he also said that the disaster will happen now, so he called people to go out on deck!"
Esmer's eyebrows rise in surprise before his eyes turn towards Valyria, but he can only see large amounts of fog. He then sees Rafael guiding the Captain before changing the sails to receive a strong wind coming from behind. Even without knowing much about ships, he sees no sign of a change in the wind for such an order.
This also draws the attention of everyone on board.

[The Doom of Valyria Has Begun]
Rafael continued to watch the system as the final seconds ticked away on the timer, he looked towards the fog. It had been 30 seconds since the final countdown and no sign had been seen, 1 minute had passed and nothing had happened. Only after almost 3-4 minutes did a terrible explosion sound come out, the sound was so loud that everyone felt their ears hurt.
While everyone was still scared inside the ship by the terrible loud sound, after 10 minutes had passed, the fog began to disappear as if it was being pushed by something, then everyone felt a light wind that soon became a very strong wind coming from behind, the sails of the Valyria's Sigh quickly stretched and the ship advanced at a fast speed. Everyone covered their faces from the strong wind and tried to hold on somewhere.
It was not possible to see the Valyrian continent from where we were, even from the highest point of the ship. But everyone could see a light shining the color of fire in the direction of their homeland, so that everyone could see from so far away it was frightening how high the flames, lava and rocks were thrown into the sky.
Rafael used his spyglass to try to see a little more, but all he saw was still the same red light only on a larger scale. Everyone who observed the red lights on the horizon began to whisper. They are still in disbelief and do not want to accept it.
Rafael turns to everyone and says:
"We are too far away to see more details of the doom, maybe this is a good thing, what I saw in my vision is not something you will want in your memory."
He then looks at the 18 passengers who bought tickets in the crew area and who have tears in their eyes, some women are already crying loudly without holding back, I then see some crew members comforting them saying that there may still be some lucky survivors.
"Sighs"
"Cries"
I look at Henry and say:
"Captain, adjust course to Asshai!"

At the Brown mansion shortly after the butler returned, they were having a discussion about what Lord Ronny had said when a huge noise followed by a tremor so strong that everyone fell to the ground, it seemed like the entire house turned sideways. Many were injured by the tremor and blood was coming out of their ears, when they got up and went outside to look at the source of the noise and tremor they realized that half of the mansion had disappeared into a gigantic crater. The crater continued to grow, swallowing the rest of the mansion's grounds, the sky was darkening as if night had arrived in the middle of the day, afraid of being swallowed by the crater the Brown brothers were the first to flee, pulling the horses from the carriage used by the butler earlier today they climbed in and began to ride away from the bottomless black hole that threatened to swallow everything.
Meanwhile, the employees ran to the stables that survived on the opposite side of the mansion and also began to flee on horses. It was then that the worst happened. Huge pieces of burning rocks began to fall from the sky, the Brown brothers just ran towards the port without even realizing that their obese father was not beside them, inside the mansion, Fat Brown was still trying to get up on his own with great effort before the rest of the mansion sank into the bottomless black abyss along with its former owner.
Most of the servants rode at high speeds and soon began to see the backs of the brothers who fled first, suddenly one of the rocks exploded on the ground near the older brother making him fall from his horse, his younger brother ignored him and continued riding when something huge fell from the sky crushing him into a bloody pulp along with his horse, the people behind saw that what crushed the younger Brown brother was a gigantic dragon that fell from the sky dead full of burns, he fell from the sky like a tungsten rod. Everyone stopped their horses and changed course after the dragon blocked their path. The kind butler let the injured older brother ride behind his horse, and they continued their desperate escape.
But they were soon blocked again by a stream that shouldn't even exist in that place. As soon as one of the employees tried to cross the river, he felt something wrong before jumping off his horse and running back to the bank screaming. When the others looked at him and his horse, they saw huge blisters resulting from the burns suffered by the high temperature of the water.
Thinking that it was finally their end, another dragon fell from the sky. This one was even bigger and had a dead knight stuck to the saddle on the dragon's back. The gigantic animal no longer had a head, but its long body and tail created a temporary bridge that allowed them to cross the scalding river. During the crossing, another person fell into the water, and now only 3 employees and the butler who was still carrying the injured Brown remained. But hope finally shone when they could see the sea after crossing the draconian bridge.
This was a complete miracle! Since the sea that should have been far away appeared in front of them almost in the middle of the northern district territory. But the old butler knew right away that the entire island was being swallowed by the sea, he immediately headed towards a group of people trying to refloat a medium-sized fishing ship in the hope of using it to escape the hell around them, but before they could get close, another tremor occurred, this time knocking everyone off their horses.
When the dizziness from the fall from the horse passed, the old butler saw his broken arm at an odd angle. But the adrenaline didn't let him feel pain, he got up and continued heading towards the boat, at this moment there was only a maid running by his side, when he looked back he saw that the source of the tremor that knocked everyone off their horses was a red lava flow that had now melted those who didn't get up fast enough.
The old man only mourned for a second the end of the Brown lineage, before arriving at the ship that had been refloated with the help of the tremor. The civilians boarded and helped him and the maid to board as well, quickly opening the small sail and even rowing desperately so that they could get out of the hellish place as quickly as possible, it was not known if they would be able to survive.

Ronny chose to return to his homeland without any consideration for his life. At that moment, all he thought about was his family. While he made the Sun Queen fly as fast as he could, the closer he got to his homeland, the more terrified he became. His land had split into several pieces. Some pieces seemed to be upside down and others sideways. Some places he knew were nowhere to be found, having already sunk into the sea. The worst of all is that even now, 1 hour after the first roar of the eruption, the 14 flames were still spewing flames, smoke, lava, and rocks without stopping.
Ronny tried to get close to the small islands that remained from the central district twice and was almost hit. At that point, checking the location of his house was impossible. Furthermore, burning rocks were constantly falling from the sky. If he stayed any longer, he could actually end up dying. With no choice, he decided to move away. But before that, he saw two men in the middle of a river of lava. The only thing that kept them alive was the 8-story building, which now only had 4 floors left without being swallowed by the sea of lava. Still following the Defense Force's code of always helping, he felt that saving at least these two people would have made his dangerous journey worthwhile. He then made Sun Queen land on top of the building, and the two men clung to her paws before he took off again.
As they walked away, Ronny couldn't help but remember the rumors that turned out to be true... He regretted it. If he had known it was true, he would have tried to save his family. He had two adorable younger sisters, and now he didn't know if either of them managed to escape. But before Ronny could think he was safe, the volcanoes began a second eruption, even stronger than the first. It was a mistake for the dragon lord to think that what he saw now was the end of the disaster. He was also too far away to see how it had started. The volcanoes spewed flames and rocks so strong that they looked like gigantic fragmentation cannons shooting towards the sky. Ronny dived quickly to try to gain speed and escape the reach of the rocks that flew at the speed of bullets. Unfortunately, he couldn't, and at the critical moment he made a daring aerial maneuver.
Finally out of reach of danger. The Sun Queen felt pain in her tail, but mainly felt the pain of her rider. Flying as fast as she could, she shook her paws, making the men who were still stuck to them fall into the sea. She soon landed on a small island nearby that had a lot of mud and fish everywhere. The island had probably been hit by a tsunami. Ronny had fainted and woke up with the thud of landing and felt pain again. Some fragments of burning rocks hit his right side. His right arm was gone. His right leg was just bones and burnt flesh, barely held together by the leather of his saddle. He felt strong pain in his abdomen as well.
He took a deep breath, enduring the pain. In a last-ditch effort, he released his dragon's saddle and tried to untie it. He knew he didn't have much time left, but his dragon, despite having some injuries, could still survive. As soon as he released the saddle, it fell off the dragon along with its rider, who no longer had the strength to hold on. Taking a deep breath, Ronny forced himself to sit leaning on a rock and look at his dragon one last time. Sun Raine looked back at him with sad eyes. He felt her pain at seeing him die, just as she felt the pain of his injuries and his life fading away. These were the deep bonds between a dragon and its rider. Then, taking his last breath, Ronny closed his eyes forever.
Chapter 1/2 of the day!
I showed a little more of the disaster through these survivors since Rafael and the others were too far away to see anything, I did some intense research on volcanoes and the many eruptions recorded in human history. Did you know that in 1883 the eruption of Krakatoa in Indonesia had a noise so loud that it was heard over 3500 kilometers away reaching Perth in Australia? Add that to 14 volcanoes exploding at the same time it is very likely that everyone in Valyria was permanently deafened. With maybe only a few who were indoors avoiding this... I also calculated the distance that Rafael and the others would be to almost an exact value of when they would receive the wind and sound of the eruptions. Looking at the map of what was left of Valyria it is also possible to see that it is very likely that the 14 flames formed a circle around the entire territory and they lived inside it. Using this as a reference and the scientific part, it is fair to say that 99% of the dragons died. A dragon flying through the sky in the middle of 14 eruptions would be similar to a Boeing trying to escape an asteroid belt. Although dragons are more flexible in maneuvering, the view from the sky would be horrible due to smoke and ash.
