[Experience gained]
[System leveled up] Details(+)
[Obtain knowledge from the Lords' private library to get another Experience bonus]
The system has finally leveled up! I quickly select (+) to see what I gained from this level up:
Bloodmage System Level 1
-Coin Storage (+)
(-) All types of registered currencies in the world can be stored within the system, there are no limit restrictions.
-Prophetic Protection (Low) (+)
(-) Provides low protection against prophetic magic (this type of protection only hides the host's appearance and name)
-Notes (Bonus) (+)
(-) It is possible to make notes in the system, they will be saved in the form of books in the library. (This feature is a bonus from the secondary quest)
-Image library (+)
(-) It is possible to collect, create and store drawings, runes and other types of paintings in the image library, either physically or mentally.
I am already quite satisfied with the first benefit, I don't have a bag like Omar's and I was getting worried about carrying so many coins around, not only is it not safe but the weight only increases over time. Now with the second benefit I finally have some magic! It is something that seems simple, but I am sure it is extremely valuable, I don't want to be snooped on by the current green seer or any other wizard talented in this type of method. The third is a bonus from the secondary quest, it allows me to create my own books, booklets and digital notes, and save them all in the library.
I reinforce my thought of not leaving any of these main or secondary quests undone, I could lose something valuable related to the system. The last one is an image version of the library, although the library saves some drawings and illustrations in its books, this is limited to books and scrolls. So now I can store paintings and drawings even if they are not in the books. I can also create some drawings and mental images to create a more detailed database. I see that in the end, all this upgrade was to give me ways to store data since this world is very primitive in that sense, at this moment I have become a kind of living library of knowledge, I can already see myself earning some title in the future related to this hehe.
When I finish checking all the information, I am back in the carriage heading to Omar's house. It is already past 8:00 in the morning and after Ted goes up to call him on my behalf he comes down in less than 10 minutes.
"Great Rafael, you hired a carriage that will make things easier and now you even have an errand boy HAHAHA."
—Don't get so excited this carriage was reserved for me, at the port you can get one for yourself. As for Ted he is my neighbor, we have been working since dawn, and you? Do you plan on being the partner who just sleeps and collects the profits?
I chuckle and Omar laughs again, soon we are all heading towards the port. But before that, I stop on a street with many blacksmiths and quickly explain why we are stopping here.
"That makes sense, none of us have armor yet, I plan on using light alloy since heavy armor at sea is very dangerous. But I'll leave that for later, since after talking to the captain it is very likely that we will spend half the day here on this street to buy all the necessary tools, I can see my armor at that time. Go ahead and buy what you need, I will wait here inside the carriage."
I quickly leave followed by my skinny assistant, and enter one of the largest blacksmiths on the street, there are at least 4 old blacksmiths working in the huge forges, and twice as many apprentices. There is a beautiful attendant my age in the part where the goods are available and a middle-aged woman is cleaning the glass of some valuable items highlighted. I only take a quick look at them, but their prices keep me away. Clearly the blacksmiths don't want to sell their masterpieces and leave them as trophies to increase the value of their stores. I approach the counter of the young girl who greets me with a friendly smile and begin:
—Good morning, I need to speak to one of your blacksmiths, I have several orders to be made and a short deadline for all of them, I need to know if your blacksmith shop will be able to handle all the work in the short term for my demand.
As I speak I take out several papers with the drawings I made of the two models of primitive desalination plants, along with the small, slightly transparent glass saucer. The girl raises her eyebrow and excuses herself before leaving and returning with one of the old blacksmiths I saw before entering the blacksmith shop. I greet the blacksmith who introduces himself as Jones and begin to present the demand and specifications of the items. The old man frowns especially when I show him the type of glass I want in 2 of the 3 desalination plants. Each of the machines is 3x3 square meters and its magnifying glass in the shape of a magnifying glass is a bit of a challenge.
