Sitting in a waiting room next to a large hall where her mother lived, Liza waited to meet her. As soon as the door opened, one of Liza's sisters came out and told her she could come in. Inside the room she saw a large, luxurious family sofa and an extremely elegant and beautiful figure sitting on it. She was receiving a shoulder massage from a skinny boy with a slave collar around his neck, while her toenails were being manicured by one of the girls who had been with Liza at Omar's house earlier today. She sat down on a chair and waited until her mother gave her permission to speak.
While she was silent she could not help but admire once again the beauty of her mother who was already over fifty years old, even with a veil over her face and with only her violet eyes visible, Liza knew that she did not show any signs of having aged, apart from her hair that had turned white but blended easily with the silver. It didn't take long before she finally spoke:
"Liz, you were busy last night and only came back now. Don't tell me you have any news for me about the boy you were with? I already told you that the rumors about him are false and he will never be recognized as the heir... This was spread by Lord Leo's third brother with the intention of damaging his reputation."
Liza glared at the girl doing Madame Rose's nails and replied:
"I do have some information, but I need privacy." Liza said as she looked at the others in the room besides her mother.
Her mother raised her eyebrows in surprise and asked the girl and the slave to leave the room. She knows that news that cannot be said even in front of servants and slaves is something of extreme value. After they left, Liza told everything, from when she woke up, to lunch at the tavern with Omar and his friend Rafael.
After hearing everything, her mother stood up and took a small map of the entire territory, then began to scribble 14 points. Liza saw that and asked:
—Mom, you really didn't believe this information, did you? It's very vague and the chance of it actually happening without any prior sign is hard to believe.
Madame Rose soon took some more parchments and opened them on a table and began to compare them.
"Girl, put your head to think a little, why did the boy know the exact day? If the Targaryens knew the exact day of the disaster, why did they flee so early so many years ago? This proves that there is some more recent information that proves the correct date, not only that, but something much more truthful than just a vision. He just didn't want to give you all the details."
Liza put both hands over her mouth and was surprised that she hadn't thought of something so simple. Her mother continued this time, giving very clear instructions:
"In the next two days I will empty all my coffers in the city and move them to the Howling Rose. In the meantime, I want you to go immediately to Hugo and tell him to move his best men to guard the ship. After you do that, go to Kulan and tell him that I want to sell the rights to the eastern district to him, but tell him that if his offer is not good I will sell it to his brother Kuzar. He has two days to make the offer. If he tries to snoop around, just tell him that we have a good business opportunity and we need capital fast."
Liza quickly stands up and bows to her mother, shouting:
"YES MA'AM!" Then she turns and runs out of the room.
Madame Rose remains in the room, her eyes sharp and focused on all the most recent documents. These papers contain a lot of information considered confidential, including data on the increase in the murders of many nobles from the 39 families, large-scale slave escapes, movements of the faceless men within the 14 mines that also represented the 14 volcanoes, and even reports and rumors of some dead Blood Mages... Finally, Rosa turns her gaze to a document that includes the escape of the Targaryens and their most recent movements before sighing.
"If this is true, I will get good revenge against Kulan and his traitorous son, but if it is not real, I can still deal with the consequences... But do not think that you two bastards Omar and Rafael can escape so easily if this is a lie."
Madame Rose then leaves her residence in a carriage accompanied by her servants and guards...
Her destination? The Valyrian Bank.
