Capítulo 3: Dangerous choice, plans and a “noble” friend
Still looking at the system information, the name Rafael appears again, this name was already in my mind, it is the name of the person I am in this world. The poor boy was beaten and stabbed to death by some rich kids and left to die in that dark alley.
Normally in this type of situation the person who was reborn goes on with his life and only mourns the death of the former occupant of his new body, but I really hope that this boy can also miraculously wake up in my old body and have a second chance to live, just like I did.
Unlike me who had no loved ones, Rafael has a father. I make a silent promise to take care of his old man and to take on his name as part of this new life. Even without a mission from the system I would still try to get revenge on those who took his life in such a cowardly way. Leaving personal matters aside, I need to come up with a plan to ensure my escape as quickly as possible. If this city is no longer going to exist, doesn't that mean I can let loose a little and do some things considered "morally questionable" before I leave? I step out of my house and look up at the source of the roar: A huge dragon can be seen at least 7-9 meters long without even including its tail, its wings are twice its length, its skin has a yellowish tone and it flies incredibly low near where I live. A name comes to mind; that is the Dragon Lord Ronny Belaerys, leader of the defense force of the northern district, he is one of the 4 Dragon Lords responsible not only for the security of the city, but also of the surrounding seas, in Ronny's case he takes care of the entire northern district.
I take a deep breath and calm my mind, I don't want to end up locked in a cell or burned by a dragon if I am caught committing some illicit act. My eyes turn to the sky and I can see at least a few more dragons flying in the distance towards the south, but they are too far away for me to determine their sizes, and that reminds me of where I am.
I go back inside the house and go to a room with a mirror, the reflection I see in it is of a handsome young man with good facial features, long silver hair, a very common trait of the people of the Frankish city of Valyria, my eyes do not have the violet tone that most native citizens have, mine are a slightly reddish color to a darker tone and can barely be seen unless someone looks very closely. I am over 1.80 tall but I am not sure of the centimeters. I take the opportunity to clean the blood from my face and body, then I open the drawer of the mirror's dresser taking out a small cloth bag that contains my personal savings, there are 9 silver coins and about 28 copper coins. I had 2 more silver coins, but the bastards who killed the old Rafael took away the bag of extra coins that I had with me. Since I need more money for my plans, it's time to see my "noble" friend. I laugh when I remember the guy who calls himself a Velaryon to almost everyone, but is nothing more than a bastard. Well, I can't laugh at him because I'm the son of a bastard, which puts me one level below him when it comes to lineage and inheritance haha.
About my family and origins, well, isn't it an interesting coincidence that I'm the son of a Tagaryen bastard? Not that it brings any benefit in my current situation…
