Capítulo 8: First Spirit Ring

The Tower of Infinity was a construct of unknown origins, an endless tower where one could train infinitely. In the Douluo world, the tower adapted itself to include distinctions based on elements and Martial Spirit types. Simply by entering, one could choose the type of Spirit Ring they desired, and the tower would transport them to the corresponding location.

The tower offered more than just Spirit Rings—it provided trials for Spirit Masters. Completing these trials rewarded participants with Spirit Arts, materials for Martial Spirit evolution, and even the ability to increase the age of Spirit Rings. This incredible tower had been one of the rewards Yuan received from the newbie gift pack. However, up until now, he had never used it. Today, that was about to change.

"Tower of Infinity," Yuan whispered softly as a massive gate materialized in front of him. Without hesitation, he stepped inside, followed closely by Sisi and Dugu Yan. Dugu Bo trailed behind them as well, though his goal was different. He intended to use the tower's trials to enhance the age of his Spirit Rings.

As Yuan crossed the threshold, he found himself in a bright, empty white room. Various prompts appeared before him.

[Welcome, Challenger, to the Tower of Infinity.]

[Please select your purpose:]

Yuan selected Spirit Ring, and the prompts shifted.

[Scanning...]

[Challenger's Martial Spirit detected: Tool-type Spirit.]

[Attributes identified: Ultimate Light, Fire, Water, and Ice.]

[Domain of Frost Fire selected for Challenger.]

[Transferring...]

A flash of light enveloped him, and when it dissipated, Yuan found himself in a breathtakingly unique region. The Frost Fire Region was a fusion of fire and ice, with the ground resembling glowing blue magma. Trees dotted the landscape, radiating a mix of heat and chill. Spirit Beasts roamed freely, exuding dual attributes of fire and ice.

[Welcome to the Frost Fire Region.]

[Here, all Spirit Beasts possess the dual attributes of fire and ice.]

[Rare Spirit Beasts with additional attributes may also be found.]

[Challenger is safe to explore, as no Spirit Beast will attack unless provoked. If a Spirit Beast is attacked, the others will vacate, leaving the Challenger to face it one-on-one.]

[ Challenger can also call an helper to hunt spirit beast ]

[A board has been provided ahead to help the Challenger identify a suitable Spirit Beast.]

[Good luck, Challenger.]

Yuan began to explore, scanning his surroundings. Spirit Beasts of various shapes and sizes wandered the landscape. After walking a short distance, he found the glowing board. Scrolling through the list, he finally found the one he wanted: the Twin Needle Predator Bee, a Spirit Beast with dual attributes of fire and ice.

The Spirit skills provided by it, is the best one he can get among the other skills provided by other spirit beasts.

While Yuan had hoped for a Spirit Beast with light attributes as well, none were available in this domain. He decided to make the best of what he had. His eyes locked on the bee, perched atop a glowing crystalline tree. Its sharp, glistening needles radiated an aura of frost and flame.

"This will do," Yuan muttered, his determination solidifying as he prepared for the battle.

Yuan begin to move around as he also noticed that above the heads of spirit beasts there are also the age mentioned above their heads.

Yuan continued as he hoped to find the beast he wants while also keeping an eye out for any rare spirit beast as it was mentioned on the board there can be rare spirit beast and their information is not recorded on board.

Soon, Yuan entered the forest, knowing that it was the natural habitat for bees. He moved cautiously, keeping an eye out for any signs of a hive. After some searching, he finally found one. Nodding to himself, Yuan approached the hive. The Spirit Beasts inside didn't attack him, as he made sure not to provoke them.

Most of the Spirit Beasts he encountered didn't meet his needs—their ages were either too low or too high for his first Spirit Ring. However, after some time, he found exactly what he was looking for: a drone from the hive with an age of 9,567 years.

"Good," Yuan muttered. Then he called out, "Bai Xiuxiu."

A figure materialized in front of him—it was Xiuxiu, though her expression made it clear she wasn't the real person but a replica. The Tower of Infinity created perfect clones of people related to the challenger who could assist in hunting Spirit Beasts. Naturally, Yuan chose the most powerful ally available to him, Bai Xiuxiu.

The clone Xiuxiu didn't speak, simply nodding at Yuan's request as he pointed toward the Spirit Beast he had selected. Without hesitation, she waved her hand, and the drone was instantly encased in a block of ice, leaving only its head exposed. The other Spirit Beasts in the hive fled the area in fear.

Yuan approached the immobilized drone, dagger in hand. Without delay, he plunged the blade into its head. Blood splattered, staining the ground as the Spirit Beast let out one final cry before falling silent. From its lifeless body, a dark purple Spirit Ring rose, hovering above it.

Yuan's expression softened as he gazed at the ring. "Finally," he whispered, ready to absorb his first Spirit Ring.

Yuan took a deep breath, steadying himself. The dark purple Spirit Ring floated ominously, its powerful aura making the air around it feel heavy. He sat cross-legged, placing himself in a meditative state. This was a critical moment—absorbing a Spirit Ring wasn't just about success or failure; it was about life and death.

Clone Xiuxiu stood nearby, her gaze calm and watchful, ready to intervene if anything went wrong.

"Let's begin," Yuan murmured to himself as he reached out with his spiritual power. The Spirit Ring responded, slowly descending toward him. The moment it touched him, an immense pressure surged through his body. It was as if fire and ice clashed within him, threatening to tear him apart.

Capítulo 9: First Spirit Ring II

"Let's begin," Yuan murmured to himself as he reached out with his spiritual power. The Spirit Ring responded, slowly descending toward him. The moment it touched him, an immense pressure surged through his body. It was as if fire and ice clashed within him, threatening to tear him apart.

Sweat poured down Yuan's face as he gritted his teeth. His veins pulsed visibly under his skin, and his entire body trembled from the strain.

"Focus," Xiuxiu's voice echoed softly, like a reminder. Though just a clone, her presence carried the same reassuring calmness as the original.

Yuan's chaotic thoughts settled as he concentrated on the Spirit Ring. The Frost-Fire attributes of the Spirit Beast intertwined with his own Martial Spirit, creating a resonance that slowly brought balance to the storm raging inside him. His ultimate attributes—light, fire, water, and ice—absorbed the Spirit Ring's energy, weaving it seamlessly into his Martial Spirit.

After what felt like hours but was only minutes, the pressure subsided. The Spirit Ring stopped resisting and fully integrated with Yuan's body. A surge of power coursed through him, and a golden glow surrounded him briefly before fading.

Yuan opened his eyes, his body drenched in sweat but his expression triumphant. He stood up and flexed his fingers, feeling the newfound strength within him.

"It's done," he said, his voice hoarse but filled with satisfaction. The first Spirit Ring was his.

Xiuxiu nodded approvingly. "Your foundation is solid. With this ring, your abilities will evolve significantly."

Yuan grinned, but then suddenly he looked at his hands as his hands shone, he hurriedly sit cross legged a seh felt he is absorbing a Spirit bone.

Clone Xiuxiu just watched but , yes, Indeed he is absorbing a Spirit bone.

Yuan's body trembled as the mysterious power of the Spirit Bone surged through him. His hands shone brighter, and the energy felt like liquid fire coursing through his veins. It wasn't just any Spirit Bone—it was an External Spirit Bone, a rare and coveted treasure in the Spirit Master world.

Clone Xiuxiu's eyes remained calm, as she calmly said. "An External Spirit Bone... and of such a unique nature," she murmured.

Yuan's breathing became ragged, but he didn't stop. He could feel the Spirit Bone fusing with his body, reshaping his very being. Moments later, a sudden jolt of energy burst forth from his right hand, and an elegant, crimson-blue blade began to form. The blade was jagged, resembling the mythical Sword of Rupture: Ea from legends, its tip glowing faintly with fiery and icy light.

The stinger-like structure shimmered with dual elemental energy, a testament to the Frost-Fire Bee's powerful attributes. Yuan opened his eyes, now burning with interest. As he stood, the blade extended further, radiating a terrifying aura.

"A sword?" Yuan whispered, rotating his shoulder to examine the weapon attached to his body. It was lightweight but carried an immense destructive potential.

"This looks like Ea from Fate," Yuan mumbled as he observed the sword closely. "It seems to be a manifestation of the bee's stinger."

Nodding in understanding, he pointed the sword forward. From its hollow tip, a burst of energy shot out, piercing a tree in an instant. The ray continued its trajectory, cutting through three more trees before dissipating.

"Spirit Shot," Yuan murmured, naming the ability as he nodded in satisfaction.

"Good," he said to himself, retracting the weapon back into its compact form. Deciding it was time to test his next Spirit Ring ability, he focused on the power resonating within him.

A stream of information about the skill materialized in his mind. "Hmm, Scorching Sun and Chilling Moon Splicer," he mumbled.

Yuan activated the ability, throwing his two Spirit Rings into the air. The rings began to spin rapidly, transforming into spiraling blades of radiant fire and frost. The spinning energy surged forward, slicing through the surrounding trees effortlessly. After completing their arc, the blades returned to Yuan's hands, reforming into his Spirit Rings.

"Good skill," Yuan remarked with a nod, pleased with its versatility. "It can be used in both close combat and long-range attacks."

With a satisfied expression, Yuan made a mental note to continue honing these newfound abilities.

With the Spirit Ring gained, Yuan decided to exit the Tower. As he willed it, his surroundings shifted, and he found himself back in his room.

As he opened his eyes, he noticed Sisi admiring the wings that had sprouted from her back. They glimmered like flames, each feather exuding an aura of heat and vitality. On the other side, Dugu Yan was examining her own back, where a pair of fleshy dragon-like wings extended, giving her a menacing yet regal appearance.

"This… both of them got External Spirit Bones?" Yuan questioned inwardly, a mix of surprise and curiosity evident on his face.

Blade's calm voice answered him.

[Yes, Host. The Tower also rewards effort. Since both Sisi and Dugu Yan reached the limit for Spirit Rings under your care, they were awarded External Spirit Bones.]

[ Dugu Yan absorbed the Spirit Ring of a Poison Dragon while Sisi absorbed the Spirit Ring of a Red Phoenix, ] Blade explained further.

Yuan's eyes widened slightly as he processed the information. External Spirit Bones were treasures envied by countless Spirit Masters, and now both of his companions had received one.

"Impressive," Yuan said aloud, a faint smile on his lips as he observed their newfound strength. "It seems the Tower really is a treasure trove."

Sisi turned to Yuan, her fiery wings folding neatly behind her. "young Master, these wings feel incredible. I can sense their immense power!"

Dugu Yan smiled as her dragon-like wings flapped slightly, generating a gust of wind. "Thankyou young master for this opportunity."

Yuan nodded and waved his hand dismissively. "Just call me Yuan. No need for formalities," he said warmly. Both Sisi and Dugu Yan nodded in agreement.

"So, what are the skills you gained?" Yuan asked, his curiosity piqued.

Dugu Yan stepped forward and spoke first. "My Spirit Ring ability is called Poison Dragon Claw. It manifests as three sharp, poisonous slashes that can corrode anything they touch," she explained, her tone filled with pride.

"As for my Spirit Bone," she continued, "aside from granting me flight, it also gives me a skill called Dragon Bone Empowerment. It increases my physical strength by 30%, and every time I absorb another Spirit Ring, it boosts that strength by an additional 10%."

"Damn, that's incredibly powerful," Yuan said, genuinely impressed. He compared it to his own Spirit Bone, which gave him the Spirit Shot ability and increased his offensive power by 50%, with a 10% boost for every new ring absorbed. The fact that Dugu Yan's Spirit Bone also had such a potent passive ability left him amazed.

Sisi smiled and stepped forward. "Mine is just as powerful," she said confidently. "My Spirit Ring skill is called Flame Spiral. It releases a concentrated attack of golden flames in a straight line, dealing immense damage. My Spirit Bone, on the other hand, grants me flight and a skill called Phoenix Domain."
