Chapter 57: Finding The Wedding Ring. 

Laura's POV

"The fuck did you say?" Xavier said and I felt my eyes clearing as my ears processed that word. 

I tried to recall what I had said to warrant such a question from him, it took a while but I ended up remembering. 

It made me gasp, recalling that I had told him that I gave the ring out. 

I turned to meet his gaze again wanting to check if he was staring at me or not. 

Lo and behold, he was, with his face glaring at me wanting answers to the question he had asked. 

"I didn't mean to say I gave it out, I didn't, i–" I stammered, not knowing what exactly to say. 

I had totally forgotten about the ring and I hadn't made an attempt to get it back, and I was a fool for not getting it back right from the next day. 

I just hope the man would be trustworthy enough to keep the ring until I come for it. 

"Laura! Where is the ring?" He deadpanned.
