At this time, Naili was walking towards her father's tent, but Irina stopped her, saying, "Where are you going? The dance is about to start."
Naili replied, "I'll go get my father and I'll be there soon."
Irina commented, "Maybe he's with your mother, she didn't attend your speech either."
Naili felt a little worried and said, "I hope everything will be fine."
As Naili approached the tent, she smelled cigarette smoke mixed with dagga, so she knew who was inside with her father.
Just before she entered, her mother's voice interrupted her and shouted, "Naili, come here."
Naili turned around and said in surprise, "Why is Commander Maheba with my father?"
Her mother replied, "They are developing a new plan to protect our borders."
Naili said in surprise, "They are doing it on the celebration day, isn't that strange?"
Her mother commented, "You can ask him when Maheba comes out, but don't get into any argument."
After waiting for a few moments, Naili saw army commander Maheba leaving the tent with a pained look on his face.
As soon as she entered, she asked her father: "What's going on? You did not attend today's celebration."
His father, Crow, replied sarcastically: "They came to visit us today. They suddenly discovered that our land contains precious metals and now they want them."
Then he sighed with a worried look on his face: "They will burn the land and everyone in it, just like they did to the Grebo tribe. They will eventually get what they want, even in the most terrible way."
Naili said with a scared face, "Tell me we will resist. We won't leave our land, right?"
Crow sarcastically replied: "Do you see any other solution than leaving?"
Naili was surprised by her father's reaction, then she said: "Yes, we must stand firm and resist to protect our land, even just once, instead of leaving it to them as our ancestors did. I think you need to convince the rest of the tribe of this issue so that we all resist and no one escapes us."
Crow said angrily: "When I die and you become the tribe leader, convince them of this, but I will protect what is left of us from death, and if we are forced to leave our land, we will leave it."
Naili stood there, unable to move or react because of the shock that came from her father's thoughts. Then she realized that her discussion with him would be of no use so she told him: "Then I will leave now. I don't want to interrupt the tribal leader's mission."
Time passed until midnight, at a house on a high hill in the forest, fire lookout Tom noticed that the fire was spreading in the area where the Kru tribe lived, so in a panic, he called the emergency services and informed them of the fire.
But the person who answered him said that they were forbidden to go there and put out the fire. Shocked, Tom asked, "Are you kidding me, people are dying out there."
The respondent replied: "If we intervene, we will be like them" and then ended the call.
Tom decided to go to the tribe to help them, but he realized that he didn't have any firefighting equipment, so there was no point in going to them.
An hour passed, and the fire still hadn't gone out, and Tom's thoughts still hadn't calmed down, about why the Kru tribe deserved to die so much, but he couldn't find a satisfactory answer, so he sat down and lamented the cruelty the world had become.
By then, most of the Kru tribe was able to escape from the fire. While Naili was looking for Irina, someone arrived with a charred body, and as Naili saw it, she burst into tears.
The person carrying the body stepped down and knelt. He then shouted: "I swear that I will kill all those who caused Irina's death, after torturing them in the most terrible way as they did to her."
As time passed, some of them sat down and consoled Irina's father, while others began to lament their situation and the loss of their land, but Naili went to see her father to make it easier for him, then he told her, "In truth, I do not know what to do now or what I will do later. I am the cause of the destruction of this tribe. I couldn't protect you."
When morning came, the tribe members saw what appeared to be army members moving towards them. When they arrived, Crow said, "What army are you from?"
A man at the front replied: "I'm Lieutenant General Jack and we're from the United States Army." Jack then continued to say: "We want to take you to safer places."
Crow sarcastically replied: "After burning down our land, now you want to protect us."
Jack commented: "That's none of my business. Either you come quietly with us or we will have to resort to violence against you, so what do you decide?"
While everyone was holding back their anger, before Crow could utter a word, they saw a sharp arrow piercing Jack's body at a moment that surprised everyone.
In this atmosphere of anger and shock, the remaining soldiers raised their weapons in front of the tribe members; before shooting them, Irina's father shouted: "I did this myself to avenge my daughter's death."
Some soldiers then left with Jack's body, capturing Irina's father, while his wife collapsed and cried in pain after the separation of her husband and daughter.
While the other soldiers remained surrounded by the tribes, waiting for further orders to reach them. While the other soldiers remained encircling the tribe members, waiting for getting further orders.
At that moment, Irina's mother came to Crow and started scolding him: "You let them take..."
Then she cried a little and continued: "You let them take my husband and you know very well that he did the right thing. Tell me, leader's name, who does what you did now, you are a disgrace to us"
Crow replied: "Whatever response they want is small from our side, so they can kill us all.
Don't you see the weapons they have, your husband clearly understands that, and for this reason, he admits he is the killer."
Irina's mother shouted back: "No, my husband is very brave and proud of what he did, so he admitted it, not a coward like you. You couldn't say no when they told us to move to another place, can you restore the rights of those who died yesterday?"
Then she suddenly fell to the ground, dead to everyone's surprise and the sound of her mother's cry.
