Capítulo 89: Chapter -89 Fawkes stop bothering red hair.

Chapter -89.

"I'm not sure, D-bro, it's with my other gifts."

"It's just a piece of paper. It says it was my dad's stuff from before, and now it's meant for me to use."

As he spoke, Harry handed the note to Dudley.

The handwriting was clearly from a magical quill, not just any old pen.

"Very magical," Dudley said, running his fingers over the invisible cloak, feeling the fabric up close before passing it back to Harry.

"In the future, you can use this cloak to grab some study materials from the restricted section."

Dudley's suggestion was still about studying, after all.

The restricted section at Hogwarts is filled with dark spells, ancient magic, and some seriously dangerous stuff that Dudley had been itching to check out for ages.

Unfortunately, to borrow books from there, you need a professor's signed note.

Snape only agreed to let him borrow potion-related materials.

But now that Harry had an invisibility cloak, things were about to get a lot easier.

"The restricted section, huh?"

Hearing this, Hermione pulled out a piece of paper from her pocket and handed it to Harry. "While you're at it, could you help me pick these up?"

It was a long list of book titles, crammed together.

Clearly, she had been eyeing the restricted section for a while too.

"Are we going now?"

"If possible, let's go tonight."

"Okay!"

After dinner, Harry was buzzing with excitement to put on the invisibility cloak.

In an instant, he vanished from everyone's sight.

As for the chance of getting caught by Filch while sneaking out? Well, Mrs. Norris was on their side.

"That's amazing!" Ron exclaimed. He had only heard stories about the invisibility cloak but had never seen one up close. After all, they were super rare and pricey.

"What do you feel, Harry?"

Hermione pulled out a small notebook, jotting down notes. "Can you see the path ahead clearly?"

"It's smoother than silk and really light," Harry replied. "I can see everything just fine."

"It can cover your scent," Dudley added, nodding thoughtfully. "It also helps with muffling your footsteps, breathing, and heartbeat a bit."

"But you still need to be careful when using it; I can sense you within five meters."

Ron's eyes widened at that. If it were him, even if Harry stood right in front of him and punched him, he wouldn't notice a thing!

Not long after Harry had slipped out in the invisibility cloak, an unexpected guest showed up in the Slytherin common room.

"Where did that big red chicken come from?" Ron shouted, pointing at a large red bird perched on the edge of the fireplace.

Then the bird started running around the room after pecking Ron.

"D-bro, help me!" Ron cried out to Dudley.

"Is that... a phoenix?" Hermione asked, eyeing the large red bird with uncertainty.

She had only seen them in illustrated books, so she wasn't too sure.

Phoenixes are considered rare magical creatures. They're not only super smart but also have incredible magical powers. They can be reborn from ashes, and their tears are known for their healing properties, making them a key ingredient in top healing potions.

Even though the wizarding world classifies them as XXXX level—one level below dragons—that's mainly because they're less aggressive towards humans and really hard to tame, making them a relatively gentle species.

Unless, of course, you call it a turkey.

"Fawkes, stop bothering Ron!"

"Here, take this," Dudley said, pulling out a small bag from the pouch Hermione made. He took out a plate and poured a few pieces from inside.

It was magical creature food—just for birds.

Fawkes chirped happily and stopped chasing Ron, landing on the table to enjoy the 'treats.'

"His name is Fawkes, and he belongs to Professor Dumbledore," Dudley explained to Hermione. When he mentioned raising him, Fawkes squawked in protest.

Phoenix tears are top-notch potion materials, and they're highly sought after in the wizarding world. Dudley couldn't help but feel tempted.

So, he tried to befriend Fawkes. At first, the bird was pretty aloof and ignored Dudley completely.

But once Dudley whipped up that special food, everything changed. Now, every night when Dudley practiced, Fawkes would come looking for him, more reliable than an alarm clock.

"It's not playtime yet; you shouldn't be here just to hang out with me, right? Is Professor Dumbledore looking for me?"

After finishing the food, Fawkes called out, indicating that was correct, and gestured for Dudley to follow him.

"I'll be right back," Dudley told Hermione, then followed Fawkes out.

Dumbledore wasn't in his usual office, and with Fawkes leading the way, Dudley found himself in front of a worn-down room on the fourth floor.

After asking Dudley for a bit of food, Fawkes flapped his wings happily and took off.

'Whatever you eat now, you'll have to repay later.'

Fawkes had no idea Dudley had been eyeing his tears since early morning.

Pushing open the large door, Dudley found Dumbledore standing in front of a grand mirror.

It was a magnificent mirror, reaching up to the ceiling, with a fancy golden frame supported by two claw-like feet.

At the top, there was an inscription: Eris Stella Ehelu Aiteubi Cafru Aiteang Wohes.

"Professor, you wanted to see me?"

Dudley walked over and noticed Dumbledore was still gazing at the mirror. When Dudley looked into it, he only saw himself.

Just an ordinary mirror.

"Sit," Dumbledore said, snapping out of his thoughts. He waved his hand, and a few stools appeared.

Dudley sat down confidently.

"Dudley, you mentioned wanting to set up a discipline committee. After thinking it over, I believe it's a good idea."

Dudley's expression didn't change as he quietly waited for more.

Honestly, Dumbledore was more decisive than Dudley had expected; he thought the professor would consider his position as a second-year student.

"But there are two requirements."

"First, since the discipline committee is new, I can't be sure if it's the right move, so I can't give it too much power. Its jurisdiction can only cover the first year, unless the existence of the committee can be proven to be justified."

"Treating the first year as a testing ground?"

Dudley's expression remained unchanged.

To be honest, having authority over the first year felt a bit pointless.

That was like being an all-around head boy for the younger grades.

It would be better to consider it for the second year onward.

"The term 'testing ground' is very accurate," Dumbledore nodded, then his expression turned serious. "Second, you need to pass my test to show that you can manage this organization well."

"Professor Dumbledore, please hold on a moment," Dudley interrupted. "I think there's been a misunderstanding."

"I'm just offering a bit of advice based on what I've seen, heard, and thought."

"It doesn't mean that I want to do it."
