When Kado woke up again, a full day had passed. He had been unconscious for an entire day and night.
When Kado woke up, he just happened to see Fite kicking towards his handsome face, angrily shouting, 'You bastard, how long are you going to sleep!'
"Shit, what are you doing? Why kick my face? Can't you kick somewhere else?" Kado hurriedly blocked Fite's large foot, and at that moment, he noticed that his body was covered in footprints. He had no idea how many times Fite had kicked him before he finally woke up.
"Ugh, what's going on? Did I sleep for that long? Why are there so many footprints on me? How did I not feel anything?" Kado scratched his head, looking completely confused.
"Idiot, you've been asleep for a whole day and night! I just realized, you actually have such a low tolerance for alcohol that you can sleep for this long?" Fite shouted loudly.
"A whole day and night!" Only then did Kado remember that he had eaten and drunk a lot with the Blackbone Pirate Crew earlier, and when he returned to the Kado ship, he seemed to have chosen some kind of enhancement. Could that be the reason?
"Ninth-Dimensional, help me check my body," Kado sat down on the ground and silently thought to himself.
"Beep beep..." A row of red lights flashed, but since the cross was hidden under his clothes, Fite didn't notice.
"Scan complete. The subject's physical fitness is average, and their physical condition is good. Dao Power: 708 points..."
"Good grief, my Dao Power has already exceeded 700 points. It's almost on par with CP9's Bruno!" Kado was overjoyed. He hadn't expected that after just two days, his Dao Power had increased by more than 100 points. This rate of growth was almost unbelievable. At this rate, it wouldn't take three months for him to be strong enough to challenge Lucci.

It seemed that he definitely hadn't chosen a power enhancement yesterday, or else there's no way the energy would be this low. He had finally experienced the power of Armament Haki, but the heavens wouldn't give him the chance to use it to its fullest. How could he bear that?
After confirming that it wasn't a power enhancement, Kado also realized that his reaction speed hadn't improved. It seemed that the 300 stars of energy were used for recovery enhancement. Kado couldn't help but feel heartache. Although recovery enhancement had great effects, having 300 stars go into it still made him feel regretful. After all, 300 stars could only be collected from five or six small islands. Just purely collecting energy like that would take a significant amount of time.
"It looks like relying on Armament Haki for smooth battles is impossible now. Looks like I'll have to keep sneaking and scheming. Oh, wait, no, it's tactics. I'll have to use tactics," Kado said with a frustrated look on his face.
"Now you regret it, huh? If you can't handle your alcohol, then don't drink, stop acting like a hero," Fite noticed Kado's bad mood and, thinking he was reflecting on his mistakes, spoke with a much friendlier tone.
"Who says I can't drink? I just feel a little hungry. My alcohol tolerance is not something I'm just boasting about. As the saying goes, 'Kado's nickname is 'Never Drunk After A Thousand Cups,'' how could I possibly get drunk?" Kado quickly defended himself. After thinking for a moment, he decided to push the issue of the enhancement out of his mind. After all, he hadn't planned on entering the Grand Line too soon. With 700-800 points of "Dao Power," he was more than capable of dominating the Four Seas, so there was no need to be upset about choosing recovery enhancement. Perhaps, after this enhancement, his energy absorption rate would increase significantly in the future, so it wasn't all bad.
"Hmph, you know, it's because you didn't wake up that the Golden Scaled Fish was stolen by that guy with 61 million. Do you know what kind of fish that is? That fish is almost certainly the most precious fish of the past few decades—no, of the past few centuries! Legend has it that Roger became the Pirate King because he ate this kind of fish. "Damn it, I certainly don't believe eating a fish can make someone the Pirate King! But that was a Devil Fruit, do you know what that is? It's worth two hundred million, and you can't even buy it easily! And because of you, you lazy good-for-nothing, that two hundred million Berries is gone!" Fite cursed angrily.
"It's fine. Doesn't the Chef Alliance not care where the ingredients come from? At worst, we can just go back tomorrow and steal that fish, whatever it's called, the golden something fish," Kado said indifferently.
"Hmph, do you think they're idiots? They've probably already taken the fish back to Logue Town," Fite replied.
"Then what are we waiting for? Hurry up and chase them! Catch up and steal that fish!" Kado shouted.
"I've already maxed out the speed, but our ship is much smaller than theirs. It's going to be hard to catch up now. All we can do is leave it to fate," Fite said, his face showing some disappointment. It seemed he believed the chances of catching up were slim. If the other party reached Logue Town before them and hid the golden-scaled fish somewhere, then with how big Logue Town is, it meant that once they got there, the Devil Fruit would definitely be theirs.
"It's alright, don't be sad. We were just trying to get a Devil Fruit for fun. If we didn't get it this time, we can always try again next time," Kado said, patting Fite on the shoulder in an attempt to comfort him.
"Shut up! It's not that I'm sad about not getting the Devil Fruit. I'm sad that two hundred million Berries just flew away because of your stupidity! Do you know? Our ship only has a few million left. If we don't get any more income, we'll be eating raw fish soon!" Fite said, looking very angry.
"No way, I remember we just got over three hundred million Berries from the jackals last time. How did we spend it all in just a year?" Kado said, expressing his surprise.
"Three hundred million? Is that a lot? Bullshit. Other people can live on just a few thousand Berries for a meal. You? Every meal you eat costs hundreds of times more than that. And then there's the one hundred million we spent on Honeymoon Island. So, how much do you think we have left?" Fite said, counting on his fingers.
"Honeymoon Island cost one hundred million? What the hell! We were only there for seven days, how could it possibly be that much?" Kado exclaimed loudly.
"Hmph, it's a vacation paradise in the East Blue. The entrance fee alone is a million Berries, and each meal costs dozens of times more than the ones outside. If it weren't for you indulging in luxury, I'd never set foot in a place like that. It's known as a 'money pit,' you know?" Fite replied.
"Hmph, why are you blaming me now? You agreed to it back then too!" Kado grumbled. When he saw Fite about to take action again, he quickly waved his hand. "Alright, alright, it's all my fault. Now, let's hurry and chase them. I have a feeling we can catch up."
After the brief argument, one took the helm and the other set the sails. The Kado ship sped full throttle toward Loguetown.
