[1st POV]
"Congratulations, Isaac Dinklage. You have not only kept all your agreements with me but also helped Lucifer remain on Earth. Even if that was Lucifer's plan, you helped him make it happen. Yes, it seems they didn't choose you for nothing to be here."
"Death."
Lucifer smiled, 'I would hug you, but I don't want to. You're too cold for me."
"And you're too hot. But that's not what we're discussing right now. I think it's time for you to think about something else..."
She looked meaningfully at the Devil, "You now have other problems."
"I know that without you."
Lucifer snapped back without any trace of his usual smile or cheerfulness.
"I'll handle it myself."
I think I can even guess why they're arguing so much.
It's about Lucifer's mother.
Meanwhile, as I was recalling the plot of the second season, Death called out to me.
"Alright. Go ahead, say what you want. You completed my task, and still deserve a reward."
"Tell me, you can find any living being anywhere, right?"
"Of course, I give them life and take it away."
She replied almost angrily.
"Why are you asking?"
"Then be my help in finding those I need."
It was a good thing that I confirmed my decision when I was talking with Lucy.
"Excuse me, what?"
Death's eyes widened in shock, much like Lucifer's, who was standing next to me.
'Oh! Right, I guess I hadn't told him about this decision yet.'
"What did you just say?"
"I want you to help me search for certain individuals who interest me."
I smiled.
There was a moment of silence.
Then their faces shifted through various expressions before they burst into laughter as if they were horses.
"Ha-ha-ha... I-I knew you'd come up with something unique. However... ha-ha-ha... I didn't think having me play "dog" for you would be a request. I won't even hold it against you..."

[You have received a new achievement, "The One Who Surprised Death."
Their reactions were unexpected, but I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.
It wasn't every day I managed to stun two of the most powerful entities in existence.
"... Alright. I will partially fulfill your request. Here, take it!"
She handed me a card that was ten by twenty centimetres in size, one side white and the other black.
"This is the "Search Map." I once made it for one of the gods who was supposed to help me with my difficult task. But things didn't work out with him, and this thing remained. Unfortunately for you, you won't be able to use it constantly. It can only be used four times a day due to the risk of corrupting you. That's why it's blocked. Also, only you can use it. Do you understand?"
"I have one question, how do I use it?"
I asked, carefully examining the "card."
"Ah, right, I completely forgot. You just write the name or nickname of the person you want to find on the white side, and almost immediately, the result will appear on the black side."
"Well, thank you for such a wonderful gift."
The possibilities that open up to me are simply amazing. It's good to have a sharp mind and wit.
After all, I'm an unrecognized genius...
"Heh-heh. You're welcome, you deserve it. Now, could you leave us with Lucifer? We need to discuss something."
"Yes-yes."
Honestly, I really don't want to stand between the Devil and Death...
...
After receiving information from Lucifer, Renee and I quickly solved the case we would still work on for another month.
Malcolm gave up all the hideouts, passwords, and contacts of the Los Angeles smugglers from Lucifer.
He was heavily involved in crime, and we, along with the local police department, appreciated this.
We took down the whole network across the city.
After that, I feel like many will be getting rewards, even Renee and I, as Gordon promised a vacation and a bonus after our report.
We were given a few days to sort out the documentation and settle matters with the cops, and then we had to return to Gotham.
Lucifer was even a bit upset about this.
After participating in a few operations, I earned a lot of experience and leveled up, finally maxing out "Charisma" and unlocking "Leadership."
I also received twenty-five free points for the complicated case. I'll have to decide what to spend them on.
I also managed to stealthily steal several crates of weapons and got an RPG and several machine guns with full ammo.
The theft went unnoticed because, while Los Angeles may have been a quiet city, it was quite rich in weaponry.
They were preparing it at the locations we took down for transfer to Gotham, Star City, Chicago, San Francisco, and several other cities across the U.S.
Besides, Detective Espinoza let it slip to me over a beer that the captured losers had been interrogated and provided valuable information on other cases, even the case of the murdered detectives.
It turns out that the Chinese were behind their deaths, but it was purely a coincidence.
A misunderstanding and a couple of check-ups led to some tension with the group of Chinese, lost their temper and shot the old cops.
It's unfortunate, but it happens. They all died because of a stupid accident.
The murder of the Chinese was written off as a gang dispute, and it seems that "Argus" made sure everything looked that way.
That's why we didn't mention the special pro-government squad to Gordon.
We've probably even started being bugged.
We were seen off by "everyone."
Detectives Decker and Espinoza, their captain, Lucifer and Maze, and it even seems Amenadiel slipped in among them but we met for the first time and didn't really speak to each other.
We didn't get the chance. It's a pity, I'll need to make up for that lost time somehow.
By the way, Maze gave me a small arsenal of cold weapons such as throwing knives, a couple of swords, sai, nunchucks, and even shurikens.
I was happy about it and thanked her. After all, demons aren't that bad if they interest me.
Then we flew off.
That's how our adventure in Los Angeles ended for Renee and me.
To be continued...
