Capítulo 98: 98. A lovely bird (Jude's POV)

When I came to the running track, I ran for Lesly's eyes, so naturally I was fast. 

The crow had had her fighting spirit back, eyeing the students with her typical P.E teacher 'look'. There was nothing left of the hollow little bird, trembling in my arms. She had completely blended out what had burdened her. My fascination and curiosity still alternated with worry and horror every few moments, adding an immense joy about knowing her so well, better than my father ever would. 

I understood that Lesly had taken on a different role in my life than I had intended her to, although, the denial was still letting me continue to catch my breath. But who would have thought that the idea of her ending like my mother did, succumbing to her insanity, would have such a heavy impact on me?

When completing the running, I didn't follow the students inside the sports hall, instead taking one of the water bottles on the bench nearby, drinking something while watching Lesly.
