Capítulo 41: Swimsuits
The journey south for Asta's group was easy. After all, they were traveling through noble lands, where difficulties were rare. They made stops, sometimes spending the night in villages, but more often sleeping outside.
Despite the fact that Asta and Noelle slept in the same tent, nothing happened between them. This was largely thanks to Sekre, who acted like Noelle's protective wing, interfering every time she moved even slightly the wrong way.
After six days, they finally reached their destination.
"Welcome to Raque, the beach city of the Noble Clover Kingdom," said David, continuing his explanation.
At that moment, Asta started munching on some popcorn.
"Where did you even get that? And why?" Noelle asked, looking puzzled.
"Because of David and his explanations! They're so interesting!" replied Asta with an innocent smile.
"Due to the strong mana in this region, Raque is always warm and serves as a popular resort area for nobles and Magic Knights," David explained.
"And also, hehe," he added with a sly grin, "Asta, here you'll see the most beautiful girls in the entire kingdom. And, hehe, most of them will be nearly naked."
For this comment, he immediately received a slap on the head — one from Sekre and another from Noelle.
Watching this unfold, Asta scratched his head, wondering: What did he even say to deserve that?
Once everything calmed down, they headed toward the city, specifically its market district.
"So, Asta and Noelle, do you know why our final stop on this journey is this city?" David asked.
"Hmm," Asta pondered, stroking his chin, then smiled and replied,
"Traini-"
"Not at all!" David interrupted before he could finish.
"Then what?" Asta and Noelle asked in unison.
"It's for rest!" David declared.
"Huh?" Both Asta and Noelle blinked in surprise.
"Well, we've been traveling for a long time, and during this time, we've hardly had any breaks. So, for the next two months, we'll be resting and having fun! After that, we'll head home. By the way, there's a gym and a place to train magic here, so you can still practice if you want. But at least for today, let's enjoy ourselves!" he said, raising his hand enthusiastically.
"Hmm… well, okay," Asta agreed.
"Well, I don't exactly need a break, but fine, I'll rest," Noelle added, crossing her arms.
"Great! Now, let's get some swimsuits!"
"Swimsuits? What's that?" Asta asked.
"Clothing designed for swimming. Now, let's go! Noelle, you head to the women's store on your own; we'll go to the men's shop," David instructed.
"H-huh? O-okay…" Noelle replied, a bit flustered, before heading toward the women's shop.
She quickly found the store and stepped inside.
"Welcome, young miss! How can I assist you today?" the shopkeeper greeted her warmly.
Noelle approached her and, blushing slightly, said,
"I need a swimsuit that suits me."
"Oh, I see! Well, let's find one, shall we?" the shopkeeper replied with a smile.
They began browsing the sections in search of the right swimsuit. Many of them were far too revealing, and Noelle even shouted at one point,
"What is this?! These are just strings! Who would even wear this?"
She held up a swimsuit that barely covered anything, looking scandalized.
"Oh, that one? It's for people who want to seduce someone," the shopkeeper explained calmly.
"I-is that so…" Noelle stammered, turning even redder. After a brief pause, she shook her head quickly and put the swimsuit back.
Her eyes then landed on a swimsuit that wasn't too revealing but still looked elegant and shiny — one that she genuinely liked.
"How much for this one?" she asked, pointing at it.
"Oh, that one? I'm afraid it might be out of your budget. It costs 250 gold coins and 70 silver coins," the shopkeeper replied.
"Here's the money," Noelle said, swiftly handing over the exact amount.
The shopkeeper, clearly surprised, quickly packed the swimsuit and handed it to Noelle, who immediately put it on and headed toward the beach.
