Raelynn pushed the heavy door open, the sound of its hinges creaking softly as it swung open. She stepped inside, her breath catching at the sight of the room before her.
It was grander than she could have imagined, a perfect picture of wealth and sophistication. The room was massive, with high ceilings that made her feel tiny, almost unimportant. To her left, a plush gray couch lay across the sleek marble floor, topped with soft cream pillows. A low, glass coffee table sat in front of it, its surface catching the light from the chandelier overhead. In the corner of the room was a small but elegant bar, its dark wood counter lined with crystal decanters filled with amber and clear liquids.
What drew her attention most, however, was the floor-to-ceiling window that took up an entire wall, its glass panes revealing the sprawling, beautiful gardens outside. Elion was standing by the window, soaking in the sunlight.
