Capítulo 106: Chapter 106: The Third Leader

It is time for the Olive Branch Civilization to have a third leader.

"He has been correcting our mistakes, but are we really wrong?"

"If we think about the past mistakes, how many of them were actually mistakes?"

All the 'Changers' exist within a shared consciousness, and a "reasonable" idea is born, spreading to billions of lifeforms.

As Ella analyzed previously, each Olive Branch Civilization lifeform is essentially an end-user, while the shared consciousness cluster is like a cloud system, and Chu, as the manager, is more like a controller of the end-users. He cannot make any changes to the system's core, only installing individual apps on top of it.

The leader presented by the 'Changers' at this moment is saying things that are entirely unfavorable to Chu.

Countless consciousnesses transmit their thoughts.

"He's right. The leader's words are indeed correct."

"The explanations he provides are perfect and flawless. In contrast, what decisions has the manager made so far?"

"It's laughable. The manager actually rejected the plan to merge /Star City into a star. We aren't afraid of the high temperatures and radiation of nuclear fusion, and we could easily hide within the star. He said this was a mistake."

"The mass of the star combined with /Star City could create a stronger gravitational pull, which would double the energy we use."

A multitude of voices turn against Chu.

Chu finds it amusing.

For /Star City to enter a star, how much energy would be required to prevent it from directly colliding with the star's core and causing both to be destroyed?

Even if that were possible, the enormous amount of energy required would completely negate the gravitational pull boost provided by the star.

Yet this simple theory is being deemed correct.

The Glory of Gauss has granted them a civilization free from internal conflict, where all lifeforms progress together.

But it has also brought a flaw—the shared consciousness cluster is stubborn to the point of being frightening.

"Is it really correct?"

"You've been changing for thousands of years."

Ella, controlled by the other side, speaks after bringing Yan Xia along.

His words capture the attention of all the individuals.

He addresses the opposing leader: "What are you saying? Of course, it's correct. All the decisions we make are incredibly correct, and there is no room for argument."

"You're trying to twist our minds with your twisted logic. That's unacceptable. We've changed."

Chu, floating in the air, feels a slight tremor in his mist-like body as a giant screen appears above the massive circular arena, displaying an image of a human—Yan Xia.

"Are you really sure?"

"Listen..."

The screen plays a recording of Yan Xia and Ella's discussion, where they consider how to create 'Changers' within the Olive Branch Civilization and then use them to destabilize the civilization.

"It's fake! All of this is fake!"

The leader of the 'Changers' becomes emotionally agitated, and all the surrounding lifeforms shout that Chu is a forger.

"I accept the Gauss Judgment."

Chu's words silence all the lifeforms.

The Gauss Judgment, also known as the Shared Judgment, involves the consciousness merging with the shared consciousness cluster, where it will be seen by all lifeforms without any concealment.

"Hmph, perhaps this isn't a mistake either. It's just that the Civilized Federation has seen the flaws in our civilization."

"Look, this flaw is you!"

"As long as there is no manager outside the shared consciousness cluster, how can we be influenced?"

The leader of the 'Changers' is not willing to be defeated so easily.

Chu has been preparing for this moment for a long time, and he will not be denied because of one statement.

"Flaw?"

"The manager exists to fix the flaws in the shared consciousness cluster. Even without me, the Civilized Federation or other civilizations would use the shared consciousness to mislead you, and an independent manager outside the shared consciousness cluster would be able to correct these errors."

Before his words have even finished echoing, Yan Xia is brought by Ella into a rectangular prism, placing him before the hundreds of billions of Olive Branch Civilization lifeforms.

Yan Xia offers no resistance, as it would be unwise to do so on someone else's territory. Even Jackie Chan would be furious if he saw the perfectly smooth /Star City buildings, as there would be no "furniture" for him to utilize.

To Yan Xia, /Star City is no different from a desert. How can he escape the gaze of over 80 billion lifeforms in a desert?

Moreover, these are 80 billion lifeforms that carry nuclear weapons. While Yan Xia's body is powerful, it is still within the realm of biological life, and he cannot completely block out the high temperatures and nuclear radiation like a machine.

"Look, this tiny lifeform has misled all of you."

"Whether I exist or not, it makes no difference."

"But this time, the misleading information you received was about me."

"This is an error that cannot be easily erased. It is our civilization's shame, and it is this shame that I discovered and prevented. Before I revealed this information, you didn't even notice or suspect anything."

Yan Xia feels like he is participating in a debate competition.

He had originally expected the 'Changers' to be more violent, but it is clear that the shared consciousness cluster has granted them enough calmness, preventing the situation from escalating to the level of a nuclear explosion.

"Go ahead, examine my thoughts or his."

"These thoughts are the true reality. You are all just pets being led around. I tell you to do something, and you do it. This is the flaw of the Glory of Gauss."

His words stir up a storm among the surrounding lifeforms.

"How could the Glory of Gauss have flaws?"

"The Glory of Gauss is perfect and absolute!"

"You traitor! To speak of the Glory of Gauss in such a way. You are the shame of our civilization."

Chu remains calm as he says, "Let's calculate it. Use the shared consciousness cluster."

"If the Glory of Gauss is perfect, then why did Gauss create the position of manager?"

"I only recognize that Gauss is perfect. The Glory of Gauss is not. It is only perfect when it has a manager."

This seems to be simply an argument in favor of the second leader's achievements.

But Yan Xia knows that Chu's goal is not merely to refute these 'Changers'. If that were the case, he would have no reason to allow the 'Changers' to grow in power.

His words cause many of the original 'Changers' to begin thinking.

The leader of the 'Changers' is not willing to compromise so easily.

"The Gauss Judgment should be brought down. Don't believe him because of his deceptive words."

Chu offers no rebuttal, instead waiting for the Gauss Judgment, although this is a form of torture for him as he is not part of the shared consciousness cluster.

"Let the judgment begin!"

In a realm invisible to Yan Xia, the shared consciousness descends upon Chu.

Yan Xia believes that Chu did not make this plan only after Yan Xia demonstrated his hostility towards the Olive Branch Civilization. Instead, he had been planning it since the Civilized Federation proposed sending an envoy.

And this plan overlaps with Yan Xia's own—he too wants chaos within the Olive Branch Civilization.

The judgment does not last long, and when Chu emerges, the leader of the 'Changers' is speechless.

The 'Changers' changed because they believed that the manager should not exist, and especially not Chu. This is a point that is almost impossible to resolve, and Yan Xia understands that the reason the Olive Branch Civilization persists with this plan despite knowing it is a shared consciousness cluster is because of this irresolvable point.

No matter what Chu does, the 'Changers' will believe that change is better.

But Chu says, "You were wrong to change from the beginning. This is overturning the chessboard and returning to the initial state."

And not only that.

"So you should understand now."

"The Civilized Federation never had good intentions."

"The Glory of Gauss was so easily manipulated by a being from a civilization weaker than ours. Admit it, the Glory of Gauss is full of flaws."

"And I am the one who fixes these flaws. This situation is the result of me, the manager, having too little power. If I had more power, this matter would have been resolved long ago, instead of dragging on for thousands of years."

Chu speaks his mind.

He wants to use this error in the shared consciousness cluster to expand his own power, becoming the true controller instead of just a manager.

He wants to control a piece, for a piece of /Star City to be under his control, obeying his commands.

Yan Xia listens, feeling the silence around him as all the lifeforms ponder his words. But in reality, the thoughts they are doing within the shared consciousness cluster are only 0s and 1s, and nothing more.

In this case, the number of 1s will be greater than the number of 0s.

Perhaps Chu is the true 'Changer'.

However, Chu seems to have forgotten that Yan Xia wants exactly what he is getting—change within the Olive Branch Civilization, in any form...
