In the quiet of the night, Laila tip-toed through the servant's chamber till she felt a tap on her shoulder, making her gasp in fear.

''Victor! You scared the living out of me!'' she scolded the young man, slightly hitting his chest.

Victor chuckled, ''Sorry, my sweetheart, I am leaving tomorrow and I just wanted to spend a few more moments with you,'' he replied tucking loose hair behind her ears.

Laila's eyes softened, ''I know, I was sneaking out to meet you, it's not been so long since we have had each other, I am gonna miss you,'' she whispered hugging him.

Victor returned the hug, patting her head slowly. ''Me too. That is why I am going to come back—for you, for my family. Then I will introduce you to my family. My sisters are going to love you,'' he softly placed a peck on her forehead.

''You better come back, brave and strong, I will wait for you, but I need you to come back safe,''
