Chapter - 118
"Ah, the guest of honor is finally here," Eleanor said warmly, motioning toward the empty seat beside her on the right. "Please, come and take a seat, Jacob."
Jacob hesitated, his instinct urging him to sit near Draven, but the Queen's unrelenting gaze made it clear she wouldn't have it. With a reserved smile, he took the seat beside her.
"Now then," Eleanor continued, her smile widening, "I'm feeling quite famished myself. Why don't we start breakfast? Help yourself to anything, Jacob, and if there's something you'd prefer, just let the servants know. They'll prepare it immediately."
Jacob glanced at the table. "It's okay, Your Highness. I'm not too picky about food," he replied, though he felt slightly unnerved by the intensity of her gaze.
Eleanor's smile turned teasing. She shook her finger at him. "Call me Eleanor. I don't want you calling me anything else."
