Chapter - 100
The guards stationed around the royal box moved with weapons drawn, their faces a mixture of determination and dread. But without faerium to bolster their strength or magical defenses, they were little more than ordinary men. The cultists, sensing their advantage, unleashed their dark magic. Jagged bolts of searing, malevolent energy arced through the air, striking the guards down before they could close the distance. Their bodies were torn into pieces almost instantly, leaving behind only bloody marks where proud warriors had once stood.
Princess Vela and Althea were now utterly exposed. Althea stood helpless, her knuckles white, her connection to faerium severed and leaving her feeling hollow and powerless. Vela, for all her royal training and poise, was backing away, her confidence unraveling with each step. Her breath hitched as the cultists advanced, their laughter low and menacing, their glowing eyes burning with cruel intent.
