Capítulo 79: Chapter 79: Ning Rongrong: You're Always Bullying Me

"What would you like to order?"

The hotel staff asked lazily.

"Give us nine cups of Yellow Spring Dew," Mu Chen replied.

"Eh?"

As the Shrek Nine, all dressed in black cloaks, approached, the server finally noticed their faces. Mu Chen's slightly childish voice caught the attention of a few unsavory characters at nearby tables.

The server spoke sarcastically, "Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

Mu Chen nodded confidently.

A moment later, the server brought over nine cups filled with a red liquid.

"What is this?" Ning Rongrong asked curiously.

"Just drink it," Mu Chen instructed.

Without hesitation, he raised his cup and downed the red liquid. It had a strong metallic taste and was quite unpleasant.

**Soul Power +100!**

After consuming the Yellow Spring Dew, Mu Chen felt his soul power increase by one hundred points.

Seeing that Mu Chen drank the strange liquid, Ning Rongrong, Dugu Yan, Zhu Zhuqing, and Xiao Wu followed suit, bravely downing their cups.

Ning Rongrong brought the cup close to her nose and sniffed it lightly. The intense smell of blood made her frown. Seeing her companions drink the Yellow Spring Dew, she reluctantly followed suit and gulped it down.

*Pfft!*

As soon as the bright red liquid hit her throat, she felt nauseous and immediately spat it out.

"What is this?"

Ning Rongrong frowned in disgust, looking at the remaining liquid in her cup. "Why does it taste so awful?"

Not just Ning Rongrong, but Tang San, Dugu Yan, Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun also grimaced, having never tasted anything worse.

Among the Shrek Nine, only Xiao Wu, as a soul beast, seemed pensive. She had a thought: could this be...

Xiao Wu's eyes widened. During her time in the Star Dou Forest, she had once been so thirsty that she had reluctantly drunk the blood of a dead human. She had a clear understanding of the taste of blood.

However, she couldn't be sure if what she just drank was blood. After all, she had never seen humans openly sell such things.

"This is a cup of human blood!" Mu Chen answered.

"What?!"

Ning Rongrong jumped up from her seat in shock. "Human blood?!"

Mu Chen nodded, explaining, "Yellow Spring Dew is a product created by defeating a person and extracting their soul power and blood in a unique way."

"What?"

This revelation shocked not only Ning Rongrong but also the inexperienced Tang San, Dugu Yan, Ma Hongjun, and Oscar, causing them to drop their cups with a loud clatter.

Mu Chen glanced at Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing.

Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing had endured experiences far beyond what most children their age should have. They had seen human blood and had even killed their fair share of people to arrive in the Tiandou Empire.

Both Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing were surprised, but compared to the others, they remained relatively calm.

"Who are these kids? They should go back home."

"Kids, next time, remember to bring an adult. Don't wander into places you shouldn't."

"This isn't a place for weaklings. Tsk tsk tsk, I only need to kill five more people to enter the City of Slaughter. I didn't expect to pick up a bargain today."

The sound of the cups hitting the floor echoed painfully in the hotel. The surrounding unsavory characters, with their eyes gleaming, approached Mu Chen and the others.

"Kill them!"

A cold, indifferent voice floated from Mu Chen's lips.

"But…"

Not only Ning Rongrong and Dugu Yan, but even Tang San hesitated, looking at Mu Chen with uncertainty. There were over twenty people gathering around them—these were living, breathing individuals!

According to the Tang Sect's teachings, disciples should avoid trouble.

To Tang San, it felt wrong to kill these strangers who had done nothing to them.

"Showing mercy to enemies is cruelty to oneself. Those who can survive in this place all rely on killing. They all have blood on their hands. Killing them is doing a service to the people," Mu Chen's words dismantled the last barrier within Tang San's heart.

**First Soul Skill: Bind!**

**First Soul Skill: Waist Bow!**

**First Soul Skill: Phoenix Fire Line!**

**Third Soul Skill: White Tiger's Diamond Transformation!**

**First Soul Skill: Snake Blade!**

**High-Level Earth Technique: Eight Extremes Fist!**

*Bang! Bang! Bang!*

The eight members of the Shrek Nine sprang into action, knocking out anyone who had ill intentions before long. Soon, aside from the hotel staff, every unsavory character that had their sights on the Shrek Nine was sprawled on the floor, unconscious.

Mu Chen glanced at the remaining conscious enemies on the floor and reiterated, "I said, kill them."

Tang San looked down at the floor, resisting, "Boss Mu, do we have to?"

Mu Chen replied coolly, "In the City of Slaughter, the only ones we can rely on are ourselves. The world there is one of killing. If we are soft-hearted now, how can we survive in the City of Slaughter? I'll say it again: kill them."

*Uh…*

*Uh…*

*Uh…*

Meng Yiran, Tang San, and others still hesitated, looking at the fallen foes.

*Crack!*

Dai Mubai made the first move. As the prince of the Xing Luo Empire, his maturity far surpassed that of ordinary youths.

*Crack!*

*Crack!*

Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing each pulled out daggers and slit the throats of the unconscious foes, ending their lives.

Meng Yiran, Ma Hongjun, Zhu Zhuqing, Ning Rongrong, and Oscar exchanged glances, hesitated for a moment, and ultimately joined in to end the lives of the nearby enemies.

"Rongrong, drink it," Mu Chen pointed at the remaining Yellow Spring Dew in Ning Rongrong's cup.

"Do I have to drink it?" Ning Rongrong asked.

"You can go back to your Seven Treasures Glazed Sect instead," Mu Chen replied coldly.

"Back to the Seven Treasures Glazed Sect?" Ning Rongrong's expression froze, realizing Mu Chen was telling her to leave!

"Brother, why don't we just let it go? Rongrong just killed one of those bad guys at your command. Besides, she's still just a child," Xiao Wu pleaded on behalf of her friend.

"No," Mu Chen shook his head.

"You're always bullying me. You're such a bad guy!" Tears welled up in Ning Rongrong's eyes as she felt wronged. She couldn't understand why she was drawn to Mu Chen. He constantly bullied her, yet she found herself liking him.

During their sparring, Mu Chen had used Thousand-Year Kill on her!

When teaching her the Eight Extremes Fist, he had bullied her with a whip!

Now, he was forcing her to drink the Yellow Spring Dew!

Did she, Ning Rongrong, enjoy being bullied?

"The heavens bestow great responsibilities upon a person, and they must first endure hardships, labor, hunger, and emptiness, in order to enhance what they cannot. To become a true powerhouse, to stand out in the ranks of soul masters and reach the pinnacle of the continent, one must do what others cannot. Drink it, or go back to the Seven Treasures Glazed Sect. The choice is yours," Mu Chen said, his gaze unwavering and his tone indifferent.

Capítulo 80: Chapter 80: The Bad Guys Entering the City of Slaughter

After speaking, Mu Chen turned to the server and said, "We want to enter the City of Slaughter. Open the door to the City of Slaughter for us!"

Despite the scene of death around them, the server remained surprisingly calm, perhaps having seen such things too often. Pointing at a notice board on the wall of the hotel, he said, "To enter the City of Slaughter, you must complete the tasks listed there."

Tasks?

There are tasks to enter the City of Slaughter?

Mu Chen glanced at the notice board hanging on the wall. Indeed, it listed several tasks. From the server's explanation, Mu Chen learned that they needed to kill a hundred people to gain entry into the City of Slaughter.

Aside from killing, there were two other ways to enter the City. One was to complete tasks issued by the hotel, which resembled mercenary jobs. For example, escorting merchant caravans or going out to purchase goods; or perhaps searching for certain items as requested by the unsavory characters around.

Mu Chen guessed that the purchased goods were likely everyday necessities for the City of Slaughter.

The third way was to pay one hundred thousand gold soul coins each, essentially buying a ticket to enter the City of Slaughter. In other words, having money could open doors.

For most people, one hundred thousand gold soul coins would be a hefty sum, but for Mu Chen and his group, it was easily manageable.

"As for her money, I'll pay!"

Mu Chen noticed Meng Yiran's bewildered expression and, before she could speak up, he proactively offered to pay her share of one hundred thousand gold soul coins.

"Ah?"

Both the hotel server and manager stared wide-eyed at Mu Chen, their jaws nearly hitting the floor. These underage youths were casually handling one hundred thousand gold soul coins!

Could they be scions of a wealthy family?

Or perhaps they were young leaders of some sect?

Or even princes and princesses of a kingdom, principality, or empire?

The hotel staff shook their heads, not dwelling on it. They moved to a specific spot, touched a vase, and gently twisted it.

*Creak!*

The shelves filled with items behind the hotel counter began to slide apart, revealing a dark cave. A warm, humid breeze wafted out from within.

"I'm not going home! It's just drinking some human blood. You can't leave me behind."

After hesitating for a moment, Ning Rongrong finally made up her mind. She closed her eyes, pinched her nose, and downed the remaining Yellow Spring Dew in her cup in one gulp.

Immediately, Ning Rongrong took out another one hundred thousand gold soul coins from her storage soul tool and handed them to the hotel manager.

"Congratulations, you now have the qualification to enter the City of Slaughter! Welcome to the City of Slaughter!" The hotel manager bowed deeply, his demeanor submissive, as he welcomed the group with exaggerated respect.

"Let's go."

Mu Chen took out a fire stick and led the way into the dark passage.

The passage sloped downwards, seemingly leading underground. Using the dim light of their candles and fire sticks, they progressed for about half an hour before a hint of red light finally appeared ahead.

As the Shrek Nine excitedly emerged from the passage, they found themselves in a bizarre world.

A blood-red moon hung high in the sky, illuminating everything around them. Under its glow, the surroundings transformed into shades of crimson, and a faint smell of blood lingered in the air.

"Is that the City of Slaughter?"

Tang San pointed towards a towering city wall made of a strange metallic stone, standing over a hundred meters high and looking quite imposing.

Mu Chen nodded and instructed, "Tang San, distribute the items to everyone."

"Okay!"

Tang San flicked his fingers and retrieved numerous hidden weapons from his storage soul tool. There were many types of hidden weapons, including Zhuge crossbows, heavy crossbows, penetrating needles, bone-piercing needles, leg crossbows, and celestial claws.

After three months of crafting, each person, except Mu Chen, received a set of hidden weapons.

"Thank you, Third Brother!"

"Thank you!"

"Thank you!"

Meng Yiran, Oscar, Zhu Zhuqing, Ma Hongjun, Ning Rongrong, Xiao Wu, and Dai Mubai all expressed their gratitude to Tang San.

Tang San smiled and said, "You don't need to thank me. If you want to thank someone, thank Boss Mu. These hidden weapons were crafted under his instructions."

"Thank you, Boss Mu."

"Thank you, Brother."

"Thank you, Mu Chen."

Meng Yiran, Oscar, Zhu Zhuqing, Ma Hongjun, Ning Rongrong, Xiao Wu, and Dai Mubai all turned to Mu Chen to express their thanks.

"We're all friends; there's no need to be so polite."

Mu Chen smiled back, snapping his fingers to produce explosive talismans, smoke bombs, and iron lotus flowers from his storage soul tool.

"Each of you gets ten thousand explosive talismans, one iron lotus flower, and twenty poison smoke bombs. Yiran, since you haven't yet mastered any self-created soul skills from me, and you're the weakest among the Shrek Nine, I'll give you three iron lotus flowers, thirty-nine poison smoke bombs, and twenty thousand explosive talismans." Mu Chen snapped his fingers, and all the items floated perfectly to each person.

"Sister Yiran, you have twenty thousand explosive talismans, which is double what I got. Looks like Brother treats you better than me," Xiao Wu teased, her words tinged with jealousy, yet her smile betrayed no real malice.

Meng Yiran didn't understand the ambiguous tone in Xiao Wu's words. Her cheeks flushed as she looked at Mu Chen shyly and said, "Thank you, Mu Chen. Can I call you Boss Mu from now on?"

Mu Chen nodded.

Seeing Mu Chen agree, Meng Yiran suddenly added, "Actually, let's not. I prefer calling you 'bad guy' because you really are a bad guy."

Without hesitation, Meng Yiran stored all the items in her storage soul tool. Her storage item was quite unique, a serpent-like belt wrapped around her waist, accentuating her slender figure.

"You're not starting to like me, are you?" Mu Chen asked suddenly.

"I… I'm not!" Meng Yiran stammered, caught off guard, her voice faltering as her eyes flickered, revealing her deception.

"Not?" Mu Chen smirked, teasingly saying, "If you're not, then why did you give me that nickname? Women often start with nicknames when they like someone."

"You… you're talking nonsense! I don't like you; you're just a bad guy, always being a bad guy!" Meng Yiran's face turned crimson as she hurriedly defended herself.

Hearing this, the Shrek Eight chuckled in silence. Especially Ning Rongrong, whose face flushed as she recalled her own calls to Mu Chen as a rogue!
