Ethan finally broke the silence. "Are you okay? Are you sleeping? Do you want me to go kick their ass even more?"

"Just a few more punches to shut them the hell up."

"No!"

"I'll get them after school," Ethan said.

"Did you not hear me just say no? Why do you think I didn't say anything earlier? How do you think I would feel if you got expelled because of helping me? Do you think they'll leave me alone? If you or they got expelled then they'd just come for me even harder? I just wanted to finish this year peacefully but look at what's happening! Nothing is changing! I'm so sick and tired of everything...I can't take it anymore. I might just drop out," I rubbed my temples.

"I'm here for you, though," Ethan said, taking my face in his hands. "So you should finish out the year. You're almost there after all."
