Capítulo 27: Duy’s Perspective

Duy's Perspective

Might Duy stood at the edge of the training ground, his arms crossed and a proud smile stretched wide across his face. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting long shadows over the village of Konoha. A perfect morning, he thought—a morning of youth and perseverance. And nothing filled him with more joy than watching the next generation of shinobi pushing themselves beyond their limits.

His eyes followed Haruto Takeda as the boy sprinted through the obstacle course he had set up. Every step, every leap, every dodge was filled with determination. Haruto's face was focused, sweat pouring down his forehead, but his movements were sharp. Precise. It had only been a few weeks, but Duy could already see the transformation in the boy. The flames of youth were burning brightly within him.

"Yes, Haruto! Keep going! Your limits are like the horizon—they always move forward if you chase them with all your might!" Duy called out, his voice booming across the training ground.

Haruto didn't respond. He was too focused on the task, too driven. And that was exactly what Duy admired about him.

"Ah, youth," Duy muttered to himself, nodding approvingly. "There's nothing quite like it. The fire that burns within, the endless pursuit of growth… Haruto embodies it perfectly."

Duy had seen many young shinobi train over the years. His own son, Guy, was a perfect example of the unwavering power of hard work. But Haruto was something else. There was a quiet resolve in the boy, a focus that reminded Duy of himself when he was younger. Haruto didn't have the same loud declarations or bursts of energy that Guy had, but his drive was undeniable.

And yet, Duy could see the struggle.

The Struggle of Youth

Haruto was struggling to keep up with Guy. It was clear as day. The way his muscles tensed, the slight hitch in his breath, the way he gritted his teeth every time he tried to match Guy's relentless pace.

Duy's eyes twinkled with understanding. He had seen this before—many times, in fact. Guy, his own son, had the willpower of ten men. Few could keep up with his intensity, not because they lacked strength, but because Guy was a force of nature. A freak, in the best possible sense.

But Duy knew that struggle was where true growth happened. In fact, he believed in it with all his heart.

"It's not about being the fastest or the strongest," Duy whispered to himself, his gaze still fixed on Haruto as the boy pushed himself through another set of sprints. "It's about never giving up. It's about finding strength in that moment when your body screams for rest and your mind tells you to stop. That's where real power lies."

Haruto wasn't the fastest, and he wasn't the strongest—not yet. But Duy could see it, clear as day: the boy was filled with potential. Every day, Haruto trained beside Guy, pushing his body and mind to their absolute limits. And though he struggled, he never quit.

Duy's smile widened. "Ah, youth is truly magnificent."

A Youth That Perseveres

Duy's thoughts wandered to the first time he had seen Haruto arrive at their training ground. The boy had been determined, but clearly unaware of what he was in for. Guy, ever the beacon of energy, had immediately taken to Haruto, dragging him into their rigorous training schedule without hesitation.

At first, Duy had wondered if Haruto would be able to keep up. Guy's pace was, after all, more than most shinobi could handle. But as the days passed, Haruto didn't back down. He stumbled, he faltered, but he never gave in.

There was something about that kind of determination that stirred Duy's heart. It reminded him of the early days when he had started training Guy. He had always believed that hard work would surpass natural talent. And here was Haruto, proving that theory right before his eyes. Every day, the boy pushed himself further, past the point of exhaustion, past the pain.

"That's it, Haruto!" Duy called out again, his voice filled with pride. "Every step you take forward is a victory over the you from yesterday! That is the true meaning of strength!"

Haruto stumbled briefly during one of the sprints, his legs shaking from the intensity. Duy's eyes widened in concern for just a moment, but then he saw it—the small shift in Haruto's posture as he steadied himself. Haruto clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and continued without missing a beat.

"That's right!" Duy said softly to himself. "That is the spirit of youth!"

Strength Beyond Strength

There was no doubt in Duy's mind that Haruto was growing. The way his punches had gotten faster, the precision in his kicks, the way his chakra control had become more refined. But it was more than just the physical. Duy could see the mental transformation in the boy. Haruto was no longer just training to keep up—he was training to surpass.

"Guy might still be ahead," Duy murmured, his smile widening as he watched Haruto complete the final sprint. "But that's what makes youth so exciting. To see how far one can go, how much one can grow."

Duy had spent his entire life believing in the power of hard work and perseverance. Though many looked down on him for never rising beyond the rank of Genin, he had raised Guy to understand the true meaning of strength. And now, he saw that same understanding blooming within Haruto.

Guy and Haruto, though different in their approaches, were the perfect representations of youthful perseverance. Guy, with his explosive energy and endless optimism, and Haruto, with his quiet determination and relentless drive.

"Both of them will go far," Duy whispered to the wind, his chest swelling with pride. "For they have learned the most important lesson of all—never give up. Even when the path is difficult, even when the odds seem insurmountable, they press on. That is the true meaning of strength. And in that, they will always be victorious."

The Future of Youth

As the sun rose higher in the sky, Duy stood quietly, watching as Haruto finished his training for the day. His legs were shaking, his breathing heavy, but there was a spark in the boy's eyes that Duy recognized. It was the same spark that had ignited within Guy all those years ago.

"You've done well, Haruto," Duy said softly, too low for the boy to hear. "I look forward to seeing how far your journey will take you."

And with that, Duy clapped his hands together, his booming voice breaking the morning silence. "WELL DONE! You've both done magnificently today! Remember, the path to greatness is not a straight line. It is the winding road of perseverance, of youth, and of spirit! And you both have that spirit in spades!"

Haruto looked up, exhaustion clear on his face, but a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. He had survived another day of training with Guy. But more than that, he had grown stronger.

Duy watched him with pride. The boy had it—that unyielding will to push forward, no matter the cost. And that, more than any amount of talent, would make Haruto a force to be reckoned with.

As Duy turned to walk back to the village, he couldn't help but smile to himself. "Ah, the power of youth. There's nothing quite like it."
