Capítulo 65: To Make Even

Asti left her shared bedroom with Tiel, draped in a beautiful sand-coloured dress with pearl buttons and flat beige shoes—everything perfectly matching her silver hair and accentuating her magenta eyes, which seemed to shine even brighter.

With a small purse in hand, she ascended the polished Jati wood stairs gracefully. Nothing about her demeanour suggested she didn't belong in the mansion. She was the lady of the house, and everyone regarded her as such.

But every time her mother and brother visited, a bitterness spoiled her already unsatisfied heart. Their presence not only revealed who she truly was but reminded her too much of who she used to be, what she'd done, and who she desperately wanted to become.

It was all evident in the faces of the two people she had come to resent over the years. They sat so sheepishly, standing out like sore thumbs amidst the beautiful furniture and luxurious décor.
