Capítulo 142: Chapter 142: Jack Believes He Can Do It Again, Yonko Battle Begins

"Boss."

Jack looked at Kaido, who was stepping off the ship, and couldn't hold back any longer.

Tears welled up in his eyes.

This moment brought him an overwhelming sense of relief.

It was like a bullied child finally finding their protector.

"You disgraceful weakling," Kaido said disdainfully, casting a single glance at Jack.

Then he looked at the rest of his subordinates. All of them had similar reactions to Jack.

"It's fine. You're all alive, that's enough," Kaido nodded. "Come with me. I'll get our honor back; it's time to settle the score."

Kaido, cloaked in his fearsome black feathered coat, walked forward.

The wind howled around him.

His garment flapped in the gusts.

Carrying a massive spiked kanabo, his sheer size and intimidating aura made him terrifying to behold as he headed towards the Radiant Eclipse.

With every step.

The ground cracked, and it felt like even the sky dimmed.

An oppressive atmosphere fell upon all of Onigashima.

Pirates who were weaker fainted immediately.

The overwhelming presence of Kaido ignited fervor in the hearts of all the Beast Pirates, who donned crazed expressions as they followed their seemingly invincible King towards the Radiant Eclipse.

Jack, especially.

He could barely contain his excitement.

When the large group reached the Radiant Eclipse, Jack couldn't hold back his arrogance anymore.

"Boss, let me handle this!"

As meek as he had been before, Jack was now just as conceited.

He pointed at the Radiant Eclipse and roared, "Come out! Come out right now! Our boss is here, and you're finished!"

"Well, well, if it isn't our trash bin, all cocky again because his boss is back," Shakky taunted, leaning casually against the ship's railing, a cigarette between her lips.

Jack's entire body shivered.

The memory of Shakky forcibly shoving trash into his mouth flashed before his eyes, making his vision turn red with a mix of fear and fury.

"Weakling, get out of my sight," Kaido slapped Jack to the side.

One side of Jack's face swelled up, yet he wore a foolish grin.

He looked up at Shakky on the ship.

It was as if he was saying:

See, my boss is back. I'm not afraid of you anymore; he'll get my revenge.

"The Witch? Get Kuke out here," Kaido frowned at Shakky.

He had a vague feeling of familiarity with her, and the name rang a bell.

But it was difficult to connect her with someone from so long ago.

"Kaido, my dear, you've really grown. From the punching bag of our old pirate crew to one of the Yonko, look at you now," Shakky teased.

Kaido's eyes widened in shock.

"You? You… It's you!"

Kaido finally recognized her.

She was Shakky, a former officer of the Rocks Pirates, once one of his companions.

Back in the days of the Rocks Pirates, Shakky held a position far superior to Kaido's and was far stronger.

Kaido had been just an apprentice pirate at the time.

"Never imagined you'd follow Kuke?" Kaido asked, struggling to comprehend.

When the Rocks Pirates disbanded, Kaido remembered clearly that those top officers—Golden Lion, Wang Zhi, John—all fought desperately to claim the remnants of the Rocks Pirates, primarily aiming to win over its strongest members.

But Kaido distinctly remembered that Shakky hadn't chosen any side.

"You're following Kuke, of all people."

Kaido couldn't understand it.

Following a young upstart?

She didn't even seem embarrassed.

"Don't compare our captain with that bunch of losers," Shakky said with pride.

Kaido was stunned. Kuke, in his mind, became even more enigmatic.

What made Kuke worthy of the loyalty of someone as powerful as Shakky, who had been gone for so long?

"Kuke!"

Kaido took a deep breath.

He roared.

The sound was almost tangible, a physical shockwave that rippled outward, shattering the earth, sending dust and debris into the air.

The sheer force stirred the sea into a frenzy of waves.

It looked as if the entire Radiant Eclipse might be swallowed.

"So terrifying?" Hiyori Kozuki, who had secretly made her way to Onigashima, was paralyzed with fear.

Denjiro immediately moved in front of her, shielding her from the uncontrolled shockwaves.

"To have this kind of power just by shouting… How strong has Kaido really become?" Denjiro's hands trembled.

"Our captain is enjoying his afternoon tea."

Gion casually waved her hand, dissipating the shockwave.

She looked down at Kaido and his group from above.

Kaido's veins bulged.

"You're still having tea while I'm here—do you think I'm a joke?" Kaido roared, lifting his spiked kanabo, leaping high into the air, gathering immense power into his weapon.

"Clang!"

Gion drew her blade.

"Forget it. Let me handle him—otherwise, they'll say we ganged up on him," Kuke said, holding a dessert in one hand while gently pulling Gion back with the other.

He faced the airborne Kaido.

Their eyes locked.

Both of their gazes crackled with electricity.

"This ship is not a place you belong," Kuke said, eating the last bite of his dessert as he clenched his fist.

His arm muscles bulged.

He punched, splitting the air.

The resulting shockwave collided with the spiked kanabo.

"Crack!"

Where the two forces clashed, the very air seemed to fracture.

A circular shockwave radiated outward, sweeping across the sea, tossing hundreds of pirates into the air like feathers.

"Not bad."

Kaido glanced at Kuke.

His body fell back to the ground, "I'll be waiting for you."

He slammed into the harbor, the ground spider-webbing with cracks for dozens of meters.

"Boys, get ready for battle!"

Kaido turned back to his subordinates.

"Roar!"

Thousands of pirates roared in response.

On the Radiant Eclipse.

Wearing his casual attire, Kuke took the supreme-grade Meito blade handed to him by Hancock, who had fetched it from his quarters.

He then looked at the women gathered on deck.

"Aside from Makino and Viola, everyone will fight?"

"Yes."

"Alright then. Stussy, you don't need to handle the strong opponents. Just protect the saplings," Kuke looked at Stussy.

He assigned her this crucial task.

Although everyone had "two lives," dying wasn't ideal.

With her Lightning Fruit powers and top-tier Observation Haki, Stussy was the best choice for this role.

"Understood, Captain."

"Everyone else, you can choose your targets freely," Kuke said to Gion and the others.

He had complete faith in them.

They were few, but they were formidable.

"Once we disembark, Radiant Eclipse should move away from the port into open waters," Kuke ordered the ship's spirit.

"Viola, stay vigilant. If anything unexpected happens, let me know immediately," Kuke instructed Viola.

"Understood."

"Let's go."

With the Meito blade on his shoulder, Kuke leaped off the Radiant Eclipse.

Gion and the others followed closely behind.

Landing on the ground.

They looked up.

Thousands of pirates, each one muscular, with wild expressions and beast-like attire, surrounded the entire port, packed tightly together.

The atmosphere was suffocating.

Hidden away, Hiyori Kozuki's face was pale as a sheet, her palms drenched in cold sweat.

Seeing the immense presence of the Beast Pirates from afar, it was as if she was witnessing hell itself.

Like countless beasts were roaring at her.

Her mind went blank, and she collapsed onto the ground in terror.

Even Denjiro, who was strong, was covered in a cold sweat.

He was sure of one thing.

If he faced the entire Beast Pirates, he wouldn't last even a second.

On the contrary.

The Sun and Moon Pirates made their appearance.

Compared to the violent, overwhelming presence of the Beast Pirates.

The Sun and Moon Pirates looked delicate.

A group of striking women followed Kuke, stepping into the Beast Pirates' massive encirclement.

The contrast was stark.

The pirates who had feared the The Sun and Moon Pirates before, upon seeing this scene, burst into laughter.

"We know they're strong, but honestly, it feels like we could wipe them out in an instant." Several officers thought to themselves.

They didn't feel any pressure at all.

Did these people really deserve to be called a Yonko crew?

"There's no way they can win," Hiyori whispered, her face filled with despair.
