With the dungeon destroyed, Leon and Luna walked forward through the now eerily silent sewers. The pungent air, once filled with the scurrying sounds of plague rats, had become unsettlingly calm. Shadows danced along the damp stone walls as their footsteps echoed through the empty tunnels.
"It's strange," Luna murmured, glancing around. "It feels like the sewers are a completely different place now."
Leon nodded. "Without the dungeon core binding them, the plague rats must've abandoned this area entirely. Let's hope they don't regroup somewhere else."
Luna smirked. "If they do, we'll just clear them out again."
Leon glanced back at her. "Don't get overconfident. We got lucky—my Aether Magic works well against dark creatures. Without it, we might not have made it out alive," he said, though he thought privately, I would've made a break for it if things got that bad.
"Yeah, yeah," Luna said with a casual wave of her hand, but then paused, giving him a thoughtful look. "Wait. You're strong against dark-type creatures, right?"
Leon nodded, curious. "Yeah, why?"
A grin spread across Luna's face. "Then you're in luck. Just like these sewers, the cemetery's been neglected by that idiot lord. Last time I passed by, there were a lot of skeletons and other undead wandering around. There might even be a dungeon there now"
Leon's eyes lit up. "Let's go check it out, then."
Without wasting any time, they climbed out of the sewers and made their way toward the cemetery. The graveyard, once maintained by priests and guards who periodically blessed the grounds, had been left abandoned for over five months since Luna's father's death. Now, thanks to the accumulating mana and miasma, the grounds were rumored to be crawling with the restless dead.
Standing outside the cemetery, Leon surveyed the graveyard. "This place has really turned out like this," he sighed, observing the many graves that had already been dug open, the bodies beneath them starting to claw their way out and roam restlessly.
"Hmm, if the bodies are digging themselves out, that means there's a high-ranking undead here," Leon said, glancing at Luna.
"What do you mean?" she asked, furrowing her brow in confusion.
Leon looked at her incredulously. "Aren't you the daughter of the lord? How come you don't know anything about this?"
Luna shrugged. "I wasn't of age at the time, and not to mention, I wasn't good at studying," she replied, a hint of defensiveness in her tone.
Leon shook his head, deciding to explain further. "In a cemetery, normally, miasma or Death Mana gives rise to low-level skeletons. It's more like creation rather than raising the dead."
"But it changes when a higher undead is born. Unlike Death Mana, the high level undead isn't powerful enough to create undead from scratch, it reanimates the dead. That's why these graves look like someone has clawed their way out rather than being dug up," Leon elaborated.
Luna nodded, her expression shifting to one of understanding as she grasped what he meant. "So we're dealing with something serious here, huh?"
Leon nodded solemnly, his gaze fixed on the creeping undead. "Exactly. We need to be cautious."
"By the way, is it powerful than a Dungeon?" Luna asked looking at Leon.
"It depends, "Leon replied, and then he added more "There can be Dungeon or now it's an Domain"
"Domain?" Luna asked once again as Leon got irritated, by her constant questioning but then he sighed and began to explain.
"domain can be said to be an open Dungeon unlike closed off Dungeon, it's ....more like a Lord ruling his land, with a single lord at top and his many troops, but it's also like an Dungeon, defeat the final boss and it's over" He said as Luna nodded.
"Okay, you should have said that at start why make it so complicated" Luna said as he took out her new Dagger, Leon shoo his head as both began to enter.
The moment both entered the gate, they fell as if they have crossed a thin almost non existing film, "This was..?" Luna asked as Leon answered " That was the Domain wall, now we are inside his Domain he must have known it and son be sending his troops to attacks us"
Luna nodded as he got ready, while Leon also took out his staff, 'Skeletons and Zombies, against them I should try to save as much as mana for the last boss , after all Undead Monsters usually have high HP' Leon thought as he looked at his Mortal Swordsmanship.
"It seems it's time to use you," he mumbled to himself as he clenched the Plague Bearer Sword. 'Though, I don't think you'll do much damage to the undead,' he pondered, sheathing the sword and instead drawing another weapon. He pulled out a dagger and handed it to Luna.
"What is this?" she wondered as she examined the dagger.
"This is a Blessed weapon; it deals 100% more damage to undead," Leon explained. These were old weapons once wielded by the guards who patrolled the cemetery.
"They were blessed by a priest but were never used, so they still retain their holy blessing—another good find stolen by Rosleia for me," he added, a hint of pride in his voice.
Not to mention...
[You have donated: Holy Blessed Dagger (Uncommon)]
[You have gained: Holy Dagger (Uncommon)]
Leon looked at the rewards with satisfaction. The blessing was no longer limited; it would now permanently retain its holy power. No matter how much he used it, the blessing wouldn't wear off.
"Now you can really make a difference against the undead," he said, a determined glint in his eyes. Luna nodded, gripping the dagger tightly, feeling its weight and significance. "Let's clear this place out."
"And this time, you can level up after all the undead are magical beings," Luna said, her excitement evident.
Leon nodded. 'Well, I was already leveling up, but now my speed will increase even more,' he thought inwardly, glancing at his stats. He was currently at Level 51 of Tier I.
"Let's get this done, then," he replied, determination fueling his steps. With Luna by his side, he felt more confident facing the undead that awaited them in the cemetery.
