Capítulo 64: A Dinner with my Father-in-law

Mr. Alfonzo gestured toward the open door of the car, his posture calm yet unyielding, making it clear that he wasn't used to having his commands disobeyed.

"Get in," he repeated, his tone cold but somehow coaxing, as if he knew that the weight of his authority was more than enough to make me comply.

After witnessing his merciless actions toward the maids, the last thing I wanted was to be alone with him, let alone in a confined space like his car. 

I opened my mouth to refuse, my voice trembling as I tried to find the words.

"I… I don't think that's necessary," I stammered, my eyes darting toward the front door of the mansion, hoping someone might appear, anyone who could intervene. "It's late, and I was just about to go to my room. Perhaps another time—"

"Maria," he cut me off, his voice low and steady, leaving no room for argument. "I won't ask again. Get in the car."
