Capítulo 44: A Dangerous Visit

I was still reeling from the events of the night when Bruno's voice, cold and sharp as a blade, pulled me out of my thoughts.

He stared at me with deep rooted anger obvious in his face and I couldn't help but feel terrified of him.

I knew exactly what he was capable of and I needed to be careful I had any hope if surviving.

"Who is this woman asking to see you?" he asked, his eyes fixed on me as if I had done something outrageous.

I froze, trying to give him an answer as I realized who it must be. Marcy. My heart skipped a beat. 

She couldn't be here—it wasn't safe. What was she thinking, showing up like this?

She must have been so worried about me that she decided to come and check if everything was alright in the mansion.

If only she realized just how terrible her plan of coming here was.

"Bruno, just free me and we can talk better" I said with fear obvious in my voice.
