Capítulo 67: 67: Birthday boy (Robot)

As the laughter in the villa settled into a warm hum, Aiden stood up, clapping his hands to get everyone's attention. "All right, team, I think it's time we take this celebration outside. Baymax deserves a proper birthday party. Who's up for a picnic?"

The room erupted into agreement. Nimbus squeaked excitedly from his perch on Baymax's shoulder, and even Seraphine allowed herself a small grin. Aiden turned to Baymax. "Mark this day down, buddy. It's officially your birthday—late April. We'll celebrate it every year."

"Birthday acknowledged," Baymax replied in his calm voice. "Thank you, Aiden. I am honoured to have one."

With that, the group sprang into action, gathering picnic essentials. Celeste meticulously packed a basket with sandwiches, fruit, and drinks, while Kaela prepared a few games to take along. Toru helped Aiden load everything into the car, including a cozy little spot for Nimbus.

Baymax, ever practical, activated his compact mode, shrinking down to a toy-sized version of himself. The miniature Baymax toddled toward the car, his small frame earning coos from Toru and chuckles from Aiden.

"Adorable," Toru said, picking him up and placing him gently on the dashboard.

"I am still fully operational," Baymax said in his smaller voice, making everyone laugh.

"Can we keep him like this forever?," Toru asked, tenderly patting the tiny robot.

The group arrived at the local park just as the sun reached its zenith, casting a golden glow over the lush greenery.

They found a perfect spot under a sprawling oak tree, its shade providing the ideal balance of light and comfort. The scent of blooming flowers and freshly cut grass filled the air, adding to the idyllic setting.

Aiden spread out a large blanket while Toru set up the basket. Nimbus scampered around in the grass, chasing after a butterfly, his tiny form a blur of energy.

Baymax returned to his normal size, standing sentinel as the group began unpacking.

The atmosphere was light and joyous. Aiden and Toru, as usual, found themselves drawn to each other. Toru leaned against Aiden, her head resting on his shoulder as they shared a plate of fruit. "You're really good at this whole family thing," she murmured.

Aiden chuckled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Well, I've had a lot of practice being an younger brother. Besides, it's hard not to enjoy myself when you're around."

Toru blushed, giving him a playful nudge. "You're such a flirt."

Meanwhile, Celeste and Kaela were deep in a competitive game of cards, their animated banter punctuated by bursts of laughter. Seraphine sat nearby, keeping a watchful eye on everyone, though her posture was relaxed, and her expression hinted at contentment.

Baymax, ever curious, had taken it upon himself to learn something new. He observed Nimbus, who had climbed a tree and seemed to be engaged in a heated squeaking match with a group of squirrels.

"Analysis: animal dialects detected," Baymax noted aloud. He activated his adaptive learning protocols, honing in on the sound frequencies. After a few moments, he turned to Aiden. "I believe I can now interpret the conversation."

Aiden raised an eyebrow. "Go on, Baymax. Enlighten us."

Baymax tilted his head toward the tree. "The squirrels are asserting territorial dominance. They believe Nimbus is trespassing."

Nimbus squeaked indignantly, waving a paw in defiance. Baymax translated. "Nimbus says, and I quote, 'Your acorns are subpar, and this tree was dull before I arrived.'"

The group burst into laughter as Baymax continued. "The lead squirrel replies, 'Leave now, tiny rodent, or face the wrath of the Nut Clan.'"

Kaela clutched her sides, laughing uncontrollably. "Nut Clan? Oh, this is priceless!"

Nimbus, undeterred, puffed up his chest, his tiny form brimming with bravado. Aiden waved a hand. "All right, all right, let's call it a truce before Nimbus starts a squirrel war."

The rest of the afternoon passed in a blur of joy and laughter. Baymax recorded every moment, his internal memory banks capturing the laughter, smiles, and warmth of the group.

Each interaction seemed to fill a small component within him, one designed to develop his personality based on the emotions and experiences he encountered.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a golden hue over the park, Aiden stood and clapped his hands. "All right, team, one last thing before we pack up."

He pulled out a small cupcake from the basket, topped with a single candle. Placing it in front of Baymax, he gestured for everyone to gather around. Nimbus climbed onto Baymax's shoulder, squeaking happily as the group began to sing.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Baymax, happy birthday to you!"

Baymax tilted his head. "I do not have lungs to blow out the candle. Would someone assist?"

Aiden grinned and leaned forward, blowing out the candle as the group erupted into cheers. "Welcome to the family, Baymax," he said warmly.

They ended the celebration with a group hug, Baymax at the center, his glowing chest plate radiating a soft warmth. Nimbus nestled into Baymax's shoulder, while the others wrapped their arms around each other.

It was a moment of pure, unfiltered love—a memory Baymax would treasure in his growing database of human connection.

As they packed up and headed back to the villa, the atmosphere was serene. Baymax, though silent, processed everything he had experienced. For the first time in his existence, he felt something akin to belonging.

As the car cruised down the road, the peaceful atmosphere of the day suddenly shifted. A distant explosion rocked the air, followed by a heavy thud that rattled the vehicle. A massive chunk of a nearby bank's facade collapsed onto the street, sending debris cascading in all directions.

Aiden, Toru, and the others glanced toward the wreckage, their eyes narrowing as they saw a group of masked figures darting in and out of the bank's entrance, bags of cash in hand.

"Looks like they didn't get the memo about us having a peaceful day," Aiden remarked coolly, not even bothering to raise his voice. It was almost as if the chaotic scene outside hadn't phased them in the slightest, though they all recognized the immediate danger.

Toru, looking out the window, smirked. "Guess we're going to have to make an entrance after all."

"Agreed," Aiden replied, pulling the car over to the side of the road. He gave Baymax a quick glance. "All right, Baymax, time to test your capabilities. Combat mode, now."

Baymax's eyes flickered, and his body shifted with precise, calculated motions. The cheerful and soft tone of his usual voice shifted to something more commanding. "Combat mode activated. Engaging hostile targets."

The group watched in anticipation as Baymax's body shimmered with a faint blue glow. His arms widened, and his previously sleek frame morphed into something more solid, covered in armoured plating.

He stood tall and imposing, ready for action. Aiden could feel the energy from the new creation, confident that Baymax would do well in the field.

Baymax turned to Aiden and the group. "I will neutralize the threats, Aiden. Please stay safe."

With that, Baymax launched himself forward, his feet skimming across the pavement with surprising speed. As he closed the distance between them and the bank, the villains, now aware of his presence, turned toward him.

One of them—a burly man in a trench coat—drew a gun and aimed it directly at Baymax.

Baymax, without hesitation, reached up, catching the barrel of the gun with one hand. His metallic fingers pressed down, rendering the weapon useless. He tossed it aside, sending the villain flying backward with a swift backhand.

A second villain attempted to attack with a crowbar, swinging it at Baymax's head. But Baymax was quicker, ducking just in time, the crowbar missing him by inches.

With one fluid motion, he grabbed the villain's wrist and twisted it, forcing the weapon out of their hands. The villain yelped in pain as he was tossed aside like a ragdoll.

The third villain, a smaller but quicker figure, attempted to flee into the wrecked bank. Baymax didn't miss a beat. He extended his arm, reaching out to grab the villain by the ankle, stopping their escape in its tracks.

With ease, he pulled the villain back, lifting them into the air with just one hand before setting them down gently on the ground, immobilizing them with a firm but non-aggressive grip.

By the time the last villain—the mastermind, a man with a mask resembling a skull—rushed toward the vault, Baymax was already on his tail. The skull-masked villain turned and attempted to throw a flash grenade, but Baymax's sensors detected the movement instantly.

He grabbed the grenade mid-air and crushed it with one hand, neutralizing the threat before it even had a chance to go off.

"You have ten seconds to surrender," Baymax's voice echoed through the chaotic scene, his tone completely devoid of emotion but sharp enough to command authority.

The villains, now thoroughly overwhelmed and outmatched, hesitated. The mastermind stumbled back, eyes wide with disbelief. "What the hell is this? Some sort of robot?"

Baymax stepped forward, his large form casting a shadow over them. "I am Baymax, a personal healthcare companion. But today, I'm your worst nightmare."

Aiden watched from the car, arms crossed and an amused smile on his face. "I think Baymax is starting to enjoy this," he said lightly, glancing over at Toru, who had a grin on her face as well.

Toru chuckled. "Well, I'm glad he's got a bit of flair. Might need to tone it down for some of the other villains though."

The villains, now visibly panicked, had nowhere left to run. They all stood frozen in place, looking between Baymax and the remains of the bank's wall. Baymax's towering presence alone was enough to intimidate them into submission.

Meanwhile, Aiden and the others remained calm. Elara glanced at Aiden, her brow raised in a knowing look. "I assume we're just watching, right?"

Aiden nodded. "We've seen worse. Plus, it's Baymax's show for now. Let him have some fun."

"Fun?" Celeste remarked, raising an eyebrow. "He's dismantling a bunch of villains."

"Yeah, but he's doing it with style," Aiden replied, his eyes never leaving Baymax's graceful yet efficient takedown of the final villain.

After a few tense moments, Baymax moved to finish the job. He pulled out a small device from his chest compartment, a special emitter designed for emergency situations.

With a swift movement, he deployed a strong magnetic field, causing the villains to be immobilized on the ground, unable to move an inch.

"Good job, Baymax," Aiden called out from the car.

Baymax turned to face him, lowering his combat stance as his system switched back to normal. "Mission complete, Aiden. All threats neutralized and secured."

Aiden smiled, exiting the car. He approached the villains, giving them a nod. "You guys are lucky you ran into us today. I could've let Baymax run a little more wild." He waved his hand nonchalantly, before turning to the rest of the team. "

The police arrived soon after, securing the villains and ensuring the scene was safe. As they began to process the criminals, the group got back into the car. Baymax reverted to his smaller form, hopping into Aiden's lap.

"Well, that was certainly a turn of events," Aiden remarked as he buckled his seatbelt. "We were just out for a picnic and got caught up in a bank robbery. But hey, we got to test out Baymax's combat mode."

"I think he did great," Toru said with a smile. "Maybe next time, we'll get a little more action."

Aiden chuckled. "Let's just make sure the next time, it's not on our day off."
