After lunch, the group headed toward their next class—Heroics, taught by none other than the Symbol of Peace himself, All Might. The walk through the hallways was filled with the usual chatter, but Toru was feeling a bit more at ease now after the conversation during lunch. She glanced over at Aiden, who was busy talking with Mina and Jiro, and smiled to herself. Despite everything, she was grateful they were in the same class.
The atmosphere in the Heroics classroom was electric. Students could never quite contain their excitement when All Might was involved. As they took their seats, the familiar heavy footsteps approached from the hallway, and the door swung open.
"I am here!" All Might boomed as he entered the classroom with his signature smile. His presence filled the room with energy, and the students couldn't help but sit up a little straighter, anticipation clear on their faces.
"Alright, young heroes," All Might began, clapping his hands together. "Today's lesson is all about teamwork and strategy. You've all grown stronger as individuals, but in the real world, you'll often face situations where working together is key to victory. A good hero isn't just strong—they know how to lead and how to follow."
Aiden leaned forward in his seat, intrigued. Toru, sitting beside him, glanced over at Celeste, wondering how she'd take to this. Celeste, as usual, was looking smug, arms crossed, as though she already had everything figured out.
All Might continued, pacing back and forth at the front of the room. "Today's challenge will involve practical teamwork exercises, but there's a twist. You won't be paired with your usual partners."
His eyes glinted mischievously. "I've already decided your groups."
A few groans echoed around the classroom, but Aiden couldn't help but smile. "This could be fun," he whispered to Toru, who nodded in agreement.
All Might activated the large screen behind him, which displayed the teams for today's exercise.
"Aiden, you'll be working with Toru, Momo, and Iida," All Might announced, pointing to their names on the list. "Celeste, you'll be with Bakugo, Kirishima, and Mina."
Toru's stomach flipped at the thought of being paired with Aiden, but she quickly focused on the task. Meanwhile, Celeste raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by her grouping with the fiery Bakugo.
All Might clapped his hands once again. "Alright, the exercise will take place in the training arena! The goal is to rescue civilians from a simulated disaster scenario, but there's a catch. You'll also be dealing with villains—played by some special guest teachers today."
A collective murmur of excitement went through the class. Everyone knew that when All Might brought in "guest teachers," the challenge level was going to be intense.
"Head to the locker rooms and suit up! I expect you all to show me what you've got!" All Might exclaimed, his booming voice ringing through the room as the students scrambled to their feet.
---
In the training arena, Aiden stood in his hero outfit, feeling the weight of the task ahead. Beside him, Iida was stretching, Momo was checking her gear, and Toru—still invisible—gave him a reassuring nudge.
"You ready for this?" Toru's voice came from somewhere beside him.
"As ready as I'll ever be," Aiden chuckled.
All Might's voice echoed over the loudspeakers. "Alright, heroes, remember—teamwork is key! The civilians are scattered throughout the city, and you need to find them while dealing with the villains. Time starts... now!"
The simulation kicked into gear. The once-empty arena transformed into a bustling city block filled with collapsing buildings, fires, and debris. The sound of distant explosions rang in their ears, adding a sense of urgency to the exercise.
"Alright, team," Iida said, quickly taking charge as usual. "We need a plan. Momo, can you create a map of the city layout?"
Momo nodded, already forming a detailed map from her quirk. "Got it. There are three primary areas where civilians are likely to be—near the bridge, in the underground shelter, and at the central plaza."
Aiden studied the map. "Toru, you're probably best suited for scouting ahead since you can stay invisible. Iida, you and I can handle moving debris and clearing paths. Momo can stay with us for support in case we need anything from her quirk."
Iida nodded approvingly. "A sound plan. Let's move quickly."
Toru immediately vanished from sight, darting ahead to scout for civilians or villains. The rest of the team moved together, navigating through the simulated chaos. Aiden, using his quirk, shifted pieces of fallen debris with ease, clearing paths for his teammates.
"I've found a group of civilians near the plaza!" Toru's voice crackled through the comms. "But... there's a villain nearby. Be careful!"
Iida adjusted his glasses, picking up the pace. "We need to act fast."
When they arrived at the plaza, they saw several civilians huddled together behind a collapsed building. But standing in front of them was one of the "villains"—a guest hero, Kamui Woods. His branches were outstretched, blocking access to the civilians.
Momo immediately created a large shield, handing it to Aiden. "This should help you block his attacks while we get the civilians out."
Aiden took the shield, feeling the weight of it, and nodded. "Let's do this."
As Kamui Woods launched his branches toward them, Aiden blocked the attack with the shield, giving Iida and Momo time to rush in and start guiding the civilians to safety.
Toru moved around to find the best escape route for the group.
"Nice work, everyone!" Iida called out, his voice full of energy. "We're almost done here!"
But just as they thought they had everything under control, a loud roar echoed through the city simulation.
Another "villain" had appeared—Mount Lady, towering above them, her massive foot coming down toward the plaza.
Aiden acted on instinct, using his quirk to create a barrier between Mount Lady and the civilians, while Momo quickly whipped up grappling hooks for the group to escape.
"We need to move, now!" Aiden shouted as Mount Lady prepared for another attack.
With the civilians safely evacuated, the team regrouped near the underground shelter, their mission far from over. They still had two more groups of civilians to rescue, and the villains weren't going to make it easy for them.
As they prepared to face the next challenge, Aiden glanced over at Toru, who was scanning the area for threats.
"You're doing great," he said, giving her a quick smile. Toru, still invisible, didn't respond verbally, but Aiden could sense her confidence growing.
Their teamwork was proving effective, but there was still a lot of ground to cover before the exercise ended. With All Might watching from above, Aiden knew this was just the beginning of their real hero training.

Celeste's group was an entirely different dynamic from Aiden's, and it showed almost immediately. As the team stood ready for their task, Bakugo was already fuming.
The fiery hero-in-training had never been one for cooperation, and today was no exception—especially with the arrival of Celeste. He didn't hide his irritation.
"*Tch*, I don't need anyone slowing me down," Bakugo growled, glaring at Celeste with his signature scowl. His hands crackled with small explosions as if he was just itching to blow something up.
"You better stay out of my way, princess."
Celeste, however, didn't flinch. In fact, she smirked as she coolly adjusted her glasses, her gaze locked onto Bakugo's. "Is that any way to speak to a lady?" she said, her tone sharp with amusement.
"Especially one who could very easily make you look foolish."
Bakugo's eyes widened for a second before narrowing into a more intense glare. "Hah? Try me!"
Kirishima, who was watching from the side, tried to diffuse the tension. "Hey, guys, we should be focusing on the mission, not fighting each other. We've got civilians to save, remember?"
Celeste crossed her arms, still holding that smug, unbothered air. "Of course, Kirishima, you're right. It's just hard to focus with all this hot air from Bakugo."
Mina, who had been silently observing, chuckled under her breath. "Oh, this is gonna be interesting."
Celeste's quirk had always been a topic of curiosity for others, as she wasn't one to reveal it too often. But when it was time to show what she could do, she always made sure people remembered. Today would be no exception.
All Might's voice crackled through the speakers once more. "Team Bakugo, your mission begins now! Rescue the civilians scattered in the northern sector of the city, but beware—the villains are out to stop you."
With that, the simulation kicked into gear. Celeste, Bakugo, Kirishima, and Mina found themselves standing in a devastated city block, with fires, collapsed buildings, and smoke filling the air.
"Let's move!" Bakugo barked, already blasting off ahead of the team. "I'll take down the villains, and the rest of you can handle the weak stuff."
Kirishima groaned, following after him. "Bakugo, wait! We're supposed to be working together!"
Celeste, unhurried, watched Bakugo's impulsive departure with a knowing smile. She adjusted her stance, eyes gleaming as she glanced at Mina. "Shall we?"
Mina giggled. "I don't know what you've got planned, but let's go."
The group caught up to Bakugo, who had already found their first "villain"—a guest hero playing the role of a criminal. It was Cementoss, and he was creating massive walls to block off access to the civilians trapped behind him.
Bakugo didn't hesitate, launching himself forward with explosions propelling him. "Outta my way!" he shouted, aiming a fierce blast at Cementoss's structure.
But before the attack could land, Celeste moved in a flash, placing herself between Bakugo and the villain.
With a flick of her wrist, a glowing, ethereal circle of light formed in front of her, absorbing Bakugo's explosion effortlessly.
"What the hell?!" Bakugo shouted, skidding to a stop, his eyes wide with surprise.
Celeste looked over her shoulder, a sly smile on her lips. "I told you, Bakugo. I could make you look foolish. My quirk? 'Absolute Reflection.' Any attack that comes my way? I can absorb it and send it right back."
She flicked her wrist again, and the energy from Bakugo's blast, now doubled in intensity, shot back toward Cementoss. The resulting explosion was far more powerful than Bakugo's initial attack, blowing apart the concrete structures and leaving Cementoss momentarily stunned.
Mina's jaw dropped. "Whoa... that's insane!"
Kirishima blinked. "You can absorb anything?"
Celeste nodded. "Energy-based attacks are my specialty. But it works on most forms of force too. It's all about balance."
Bakugo's face was a mix of frustration and shock, his fists clenched. "Don't get cocky, princess. I can still blow you to bits."
Celeste chuckled softly, a glint of challenge in her eyes. "I'd like to see you try."
Ignoring the brewing tension between Bakugo and Celeste, Kirishima rushed forward, hardening his body to shield the civilians while Mina used her acid to dissolve some of the remaining concrete blocking their way.
The team worked together to clear a path, guiding the civilians to safety.
As they moved deeper into the city, the challenges became tougher. More villains appeared—one after the other—but Celeste continued to prove her worth, her quirk reflecting and redirecting attacks with pinpoint precision.
She wasn't just defending, though. She took the lead when necessary, issuing calm, clear orders that even Bakugo begrudgingly followed when the situation called for it.
Despite Bakugo's initial hostility, it was clear to the others that Celeste wasn't just some "princess" tagging along. She was a powerful ally—one that even Bakugo couldn't dismiss.
By the time the simulation ended, the team had rescued all their civilians and neutralised their villains with impressive coordination. Kirishima and Mina exchanged high fives, while Bakugo stood off to the side, still simmering with his usual intensity.
But even he couldn't deny the success of their mission.
Celeste, on the other hand, remained composed and unfazed. She walked over to Bakugo, her smirk never leaving her face. "Well, Bakugo, I think that went rather well, don't you?"
Bakugo glared at her, fists crackling with small explosions. "Shut up."
Celeste chuckled but said nothing more. She knew she'd proven herself today, and that was enough.
