"I took a shower. I am not dirty anymore."

Dylan's words only added fuel to Ava's fury. Her scowl deepened with indignation. "Do you really think a shower can wash away that kind of stain?" she spat. "Why did you even come back? You should have just spent the night with that woman."

"Woman?" he echoed, her accusation catching him off guard. "How do you know about that?"

"Uh…" Ava straightened, her anger surging again. "So, you admit it!" she snapped. Her fist came down hard on his chest. "If you've already found someone else, why are you still here? Go back to her!" She raised her hand to strike him again.

Dylan caught her wrist mid-air. "Hold on. That was an accident." He tried to explain desperately.

"An accident?" Ava glared at him. "What are you saying, Dylan? That you just happened to fall onto a woman and her lipstick just happened to land on your shirt? How convenient."
